Chapter 42 [Thank you for the boss battle for the second time](2/2)
But no matter how nervous you are, those damn Americans arrived as scheduled.
In the afternoon, several people and I wore formal suits and came to the airport to pick up the guests. This was a five-person investigation team, among which the chief representative of this team was a special personnel from Lockheed, the United States. There must be official Americans among them.
The chief representative's name was Henry, a middle-aged white man, a little obese, gray-haired, and wearing a brown suit. As soon as he walked out of the airport, he complained loudly about the hot Africa, and seemed to be very uncomfortable with the climate here.
After we met, the two sides, each with ulterior motives, hugged and greeted each other warmly for a long time. Then, as the chairman of the United Airlines (the second largest shareholder of the company is nominally the G government) and Henry had a cordial and simple conversation with Mr. Henry. The conversation process was very pleasant. We exchanged opinions on the cooperation and development of both sides, conveyed the cordial greetings of our people, and made a hypocritical outlook for the future development... Just when Henry and I were already sore because of false smiles, the car finally drove to our "airport" directly under the United Airlines of East Africa!!
Standing in front of the open and grand airport, I pretended to be proud and shouted: "Although our company is a construction company, it already has twenty-five aircraft for civil aviation purposes, and has signed cooperation agreements for route sharing with several major airlines in Africa and Europe... Now you see that the land is our first direct airport, and these are our backup aircraft, of course. The others have been added to the airports of various cities in East Africa and started shipping business! Well, please look at these four...well, three aircraft..."
When I said this, I suddenly tied a knot on my tongue. I almost missed it...
Because on the runway, I remember that Ren Lei and his team had prepared four models of aircraft... but now there are only three left.
"I just received a call on the road. A strong wind blew, and the two-wing propellers of the oldest young fox were blown away... The workers had no time to repair it, so they could only temporarily push it into the warehouse and cover it with oil cloth." Qiao Qiao whispered quickly in my ear.
I nodded quietly.
Henry and his group stood not far away and looked at the three lonely planes at the airport...
Although these three planes have just been painted and surfaced, the paints are radiant in the sunshine... But the appearance and shape of the plane cannot be concealed.
"This..." Henry couldn't help but ask in a low voice: "These aircraft I saw seem to be transformed by military transport aircraft, right? Isn't your company not even a legitimate civil aviation aircraft?"
"Of course there is!" I continued to talk nonsense with a righteous face and without changing my face: "Mr. Henry. The information is very clear. Our company owns six Airbus A320s and two Boeing 747s! But those aircraft are operating outside... Although these aircraft you see are modified from military transport aircraft... But please remember that this is East Africa, and our conditions are limited... In economically underdeveloped areas, it is normal to use retired transport aircraft for civil aviation purposes."
The last few words made sense, so Henry just glanced at me and said nothing.
Then I quickly took these guys away from the runway. Then I briefly visited our hangar... and the airport command platform - this command platform was bought by Ren Lei and the others from where they didn't know where. Anyway, it was just a shelf, with new surfaces. But if you open the lid from the back, you will find that even the copper wire inside was rusted to death.
Henry and others had some doubts about their eyes... But we had done it well, and they couldn't find any obvious problems. I generously asked them to take photos, but I sent people to follow them one by one, and some sensitive areas prevented them from entering in the name of "trade secrets".
"Okay!" Finally, Henry spoke on behalf of their group: "We are satisfied with your company's airport and capacity. I think we can visit your company's headquarters."
