Chapter 218: Chanting and Preaching
During two days, Beldan carefully translated scriptures in the Sutra Hall of White Horse Temple. Because Kerot did not know Chinese characters and could not help, he had to arrange things to pass the day by himself. Early in the morning, he wandered around the temple alone.
He walked around and came to a small yard, and saw a little monk cleaning the yard. Kerot was very curious about this yard and wanted to enter and find out, but the little monk stopped him with a broom: "Donor, please stay! This is not a place for idle people to visit."
"We are not idle people, so we can go in." Kerot deliberately teased the little monk, and then took advantage of the little monk's moment of striking his mind and flashed to enter the door.
But the little monk came to his senses instantly, reacted quickly, and a broom stood in front of Kerot, and said angrily: "I said I couldn't get in, but you forced me to break in. You don't even understand the rules at all."
Seeing that the little monk seemed to have good skills, Kerot was excited. He whirled and the limit of his light skills was soaring that the figure disappeared. He thought he could throw the little monk away and enter the yard this time, but unexpectedly the little monk caught up and scolded, "You don't want to eat the punishment for the toast. You dare to break in and eat my broom!"
As he said that, he swept hard at Kerot with a broom. Kerot flashed by, and the broom didn't even touch the edge. The little monk then swept over several brooms in succession, and the same result was the same. He annoyed the little monk, and threw the broom down, and hit several quick and powerful straight punches in succession, which was straight and eye-catching. While Kerot defended with his hands, he asked: "Little monk, where did you learn your fist skills?"
"You know it's amazing, why don't you go out quickly?" Then, he made a series of straight punches.
"You are practicing the "Miscellaneous Axin Method" and use Bell Fist." Kairo's characteristic name said.
The little monk was not humble: "If you want to trap my way, I won't tell you." As he said that, his fist was faster, but he had no strength. It was like tickling the body. Kerot only defended but not attacked, and the two of them were performing on the lawn in the yard.
"Huineng stopped!" Just as Kerot was having fun, the host Yanshou appeared in front of them, raised his hand to greet the two fighters, and shouted with a full breath, "Stop!"
The little monk stopped obediently and saluted his master.
The host Yanshou looked at Huineng with a sweaty face and pointed at Kerot and said, "Do you know who he is?"
Huineng shook his head, indicating that he didn't know.
"He is the Great Immortal, and the fairy's good friend!" The host Yanshou shook his head helplessly, yes, "Why don't you go and apologize to the Great Immortal?"
The little monk scratched his head and obediently was about to step forward to apologize to Kairot, but he stopped him: "The unaware of the truth is not guilty." He stepped forward and touched the little monk's head, "This little guy has a good martial arts foundation and is a good seedling for practicing martial arts."
"With the praise from the great immortal, Huineng, you should be the great immortal as your teacher." The host took the opportunity to plead for the young monk, "Huineng's body is indeed a good material for martial arts practice. You can accept this disciple, and he can carry forward the skills of heaven."
When Huineng heard the host say something, he hurriedly knelt in front of Kerot and kowtowed to become a disciple: "Huineng worships the great immortal as his master, please accept his disciple's bow."
Kerut had never accepted his apprentice, and he was so stupid that he couldn't find any words to refuse. He helped Huineng up with both hands and nodded in agreement. Huineng jumped up happily and kept calling out "master". Kerut only thought that as a master, he had to say a few words. The host Yanshou felt that it was not serious enough to become a master, so they entered the living room of the host deep in the courtyard, and the host and Kerut sat on a chair.
Huineng knelt in front of Kerot again, Kerot said in a master's tone: "If you want to be my apprentice, you must do three things: perseverance, concentration and understanding. First, if you want to practice superior kung fu, you must have perseverance and a perseverance, and you cannot give up halfway; second, practicing internal skills requires calmness, no distractions, concentration, and concentration; third, it is to reflect and reflect, and carefully summarize and review every day's practice, so that you can make continuous progress. Can you do these three things?"
"Yes." The little monk nodded and agreed.
Kerot also warned Huineng: "You worship me as your teacher, don't tell the public, let me know, you can't be regarded as your disciple. Remember, besides practicing qigong, you can do whatever you should do in the temple, just like before."
: "Don't worry, master, I will never tell you anything to the public."
Kerot said: "There is another thing you must remember. Don't think that you have high martial arts skills and fight hard everywhere."
"Yes. Remember the master's teachings." The little monk agreed very simply.
The apprenticeship ceremony ended simply.
The host appointed them a secluded place behind the Zen room, and let their master and apprentice practice there-
Beldan's chanting and preaching was carried out in the Main Hall, and it only took half a day in the afternoon. Many pilgrims came from different places around the country a few days in advance. They wanted to see the charm of fairies and listen to the teachings of the Bodhisattva. Their arrival made the entire Luoyang City inn crowded, and the White Horse Temple became a bustling and very lively place.
Beldan's black hair was combed into a dragon bun, his eyes were like stars and his eyebrows were like small moons. He sat cross-legged on the vast red lotus, and his light and flying embroidery belt rose with the wind, covering his auspicious light. She held the nectar bottle in one hand and the willow branches in the other hand, floating from the air, sitting on a platform where she recited scriptures and preached, shocking the people present to the scene almost dazed.
Beerdan, sitting cross-legged on the red lotus, attracted the attention of the people present with his quiet and dignified temperament, and made the entire hall quiet. Then the clean and crisp voice of the fairy began to echo in the hall. Kerot, who was hiding in the corner of the hall, also felt a powerful aura. He thought to himself: [This is the aura that can only be obtained by the highest level achieved by superior internal skills.]
Beldan began her preaching, and she said, "What is Buddha? It means wisdom, enlightenment. The word Buddha has a body and is useful. From its essence, it is wisdom, and from its function, it is enlightenment."
Monks, princes, nobles, pilgrims and tourists were almost focused on the every move of the Bodhisattva on the podium, listening carefully to her lectures.
"There are three kinds of wisdom. Guanyin" continued to say in her crisp and magnetic voice, "First, all wisdom. It is to correctly understand the essence of the universe. To put it in a small range, it is to correctly understand the land under our feet. This wisdom is called all wisdom in Buddhism; second, the wisdom of Tao. The wisdom of Tao refers to various phenomena, phenomena between the universe, and countless types. How did these many phenomena occur? From where? What are the phenomena and processes? What is the result? The wisdom of the universe correctly is called Taoist wisdom; third, all wisdom is to be fully understood about the truth of the universe and life, without any confusion or any error. Such wisdom is all wisdom. Those who possess these three wisdoms are sapiens. Those who surpass sapiens are called the God of Wisdom."
"Guanyin" uses various examples to explain her views on Buddha and Dharma, which makes the people present suddenly understand. Buddhism is not as profound and difficult to understand as people imagine. "Guanyin" tells everyone: "The two words "Buddha" are connected to endless wisdom, enlightenment, and awakening all things and dharmas in the universe and life. The Dharma is boundless, and it is infinite. The objects that are awakened have no boundaries, and the wisdom that can be awakened has no boundaries. You must remember that this infinite wisdom and awareness is your own instinct."
A Buddhist chanting and preaching lesson made the people present intoxicated. After a few hours, no one was willing to leave midway, which shows that the attraction of "Guanyin" is huge. 8)
