Chapter 4 The Wind of Fury

Leo left the stinky area covered with the slime of Demon-Hunting Spider, and ignored Brand and Deka's next plan. He is not a noble lady with a lot of love for pets. What is the end of the alchemy apprentice? That's not something Leo should worry about.

He estimated the time: the efficacy of the medicine can last for twenty minutes. This is enough, he thought.

However, as he entered the depths of the ruins, the road became more complex, and countless forks protected the last room. He could no longer rely on the gradual changes of the murals to judge the correct direction. He began to hit walls and had to hand over the right to choose to fate.

Fortunately, after choosing a direction for the third time, he found the light ahead.

It was a slightly blue, like a silky shag, which was completely different from the slightly orange light of the immortal flame. The obvious conclusion made Leo quicken his pace. He cautiously and carefully guarded against the possible guardians, but jumped quickly into the room shrouded in the blue, twilight glow.

The spacious room was empty, with only a small altar half a person tall placed in the center of the room. On the altar, an eight-sided cube as big as a palm floating. The slightly blue light was what it emitted.

Li Ou knew that it was the Furious Wind Magic Formation.

He couldn't control his inner excitement and walked up quickly.

The purple-red garnet ring was placed under the black and blue cube that formed the magic circle as he guessed.

He quickly grabbed the ring and stuffed it into the leather bag.

Feeling the heavy feeling of being in his imagination, he breathed a long sigh of relief. Then he began to release his curiosity and study the magic art of the ancient and mysterious Lozva era in front of him.

Each surface of the cube is engraved with an indistinguishable symbol. The symbol is simple and clear, and even young children can easily outline it. However, the source of the power of the Furious Wind Seal is the simple flat figure that can be drawn with this stroke. No wonder today's mages have no interest in it. In their eyes, this is a trick that only the circus clowns can perform.

But Leo did not have such serious prejudice. He was an alchemist, not a mage. The simple and clear magic seal was just right for him. He recalled the narrative in "The Origin of Magic", then took a deep breath, slowly stretched out his hand, and put his palm on it.

A blue light surrounded him, and the dazzling light filled his vision, causing him to subconsciously close his eyes. However, the enhanced facial features allowed him to accurately capture a stream of air that was invisibly generated and filled the entire room. It was slowly rotating, breathing openly and relaxingly as if it was nurturing life. At first, it was just a gentle breeze blowing on the face, and then gradually strengthening, like a irritating wind giant, making a harsh and sharp whistle.

When the wind weakened and everything gradually returned to calm, Leo felt as if he understood the roaring words of the wind giant spirit. There was obviously something more in his mind - knowledge about the Fierce Wind Seal.

Before he could digest the mess in his mind, the rampant symbols, spells, and an inappropriate irritating voice rushed in, destroying the peace in the room.

"Lee Ou!" Andrewson appeared behind another falling door and shouted angrily at Lee Ou, "Take your dirty hands away!"

Li Ou endured the swelling pain in his head, "Are you sure you want me to do this?"

"Take it away! Otherwise I'll chop your hands!"

Andrewson took a step forward with a short-handed axe. His body was filled with a mixture of dust and blood, and the stench of a demon-hunting spider, and he obviously experienced a fierce battle.

Leo's eyes swept over the cube that still emitted azure blue light, "Okay, as you wish." He said with regret. He quickly withdrew his right hand and retreated. The magic circle that had lost its magic power was quickly extinguished, becoming dull, and fell on the altar like a dead stone.

"You touched it!"

"I'm sorry, you came late... No, no, it's because you came too early." Li Ou said lightly, "Waiting for the magic array to accumulate magic power again and can be touched, it should be two years later. Just in time, you can apply for a 'makeup exam' again."

"Shut up!" Andrewson took the second step forward, followed by the third step... His pace gradually accelerated. At the same time, he shouted to Leo, "Where is the ring?"

"what you think?"

The sword drew a circle in Leo's hand, then pointed at Andrewson, making a provocative move towards him.

"You will regret it, I promise!" The extremely angry Andrewson shouted loudly, "You will never leave here!" He rushed towards Leo like an angry bull, and the short-handled axe slashed towards Leo's head without any fancy.

Leo's movements were as agile as a cat. He half-spiraled to avoid this move. Andrewson's attack opened and closed, and a whirring wind sounded in Leo's ears. He tapped his toes and jumped to the side quietly. With a swaying sword, it disrupted Andrewson's rhythm. Then he punched Andrewson's cheek heavily.

Andrewson's body fell to the ground, stirring up a large swath of dust. The whole room echoed with his angry, heavy breathing.

Leo was not in a hurry to attack.

"You are irritable, like an irrational beast," said Leo, "and beasts are usually just supper on the hunter's table."

"You are more like a monster than me." Andrewson was also unceremonious.

He knew his appearance. His face was blue and purple, his eyes were prominent, and he looked like a corpse that had been strangled to death. However, the potion could make his facial features sharp and slightly enhance his strength and agility. This is what Leo needed.

"Monsters are usually more terrifying than beasts." Leo was not frustrated by his ugly appearance, just as Andrewson's iris was completely replaced by his pupils - all of which were side effects of taking the drug. He paused for a moment and continued, "Of course, the most terrifying thing is the greedy, intelligent creature with strong control."

Andrewson stared at Leo, swung the short-handled axe, and approached him step by step.

"You are talking about yourself, too."

"I never deny it." Li Ou held the hilt of the sword tightly and pulled away, "But I have self-knowledge and will not be insatiable."

"Is that so? But I think I'll laugh to the end!"

Andrewson accelerated suddenly and rushed towards Leo. The cold edge of the short-handed axe was like a crescent moon climbing up the treetops. But the strike still fell into vain. Leo's speed was faster than he thought. He jumped to the side, and the long sword that seemed to be swinging to the left of his body accurately blocked Andrewson's next few slashes. However, when Leo tried to attack him from Andrewson's side, Leo's sensitive skills suddenly became stiff and slow, like a rusty machine.

The effect of the medicine began to decline. The boiling blood gradually cooled down. The tinnitus also appeared quietly like a ghost, buzzing constantly, making Leo distracted and irritable. The strong contrast between his body made him feel extremely uncomfortable. At that moment, he even felt that his body no longer belonged to him. He was not a full-time warrior, and his swordsmanship was messy. He could no longer keep up with Andrewson's rhythm. Although Leo chose to avoid it at the first time, Andrewson still hit him. The short-handed axe tore a big hole in his leather jacket, and the metal nails on it scattered all over the ground.

"Look, I'm right." Andrewson sneered.

The efficacy of Taglu Lightning has not yet retreated from Andrewson. His reaction power is higher than that of ordinary people, which has given him the upper hand. He has accurately avoided several counterattacks of Leo, and he has been trapped in a dangerous situation of being completely suppressed.

He had to start trying to draw it before it was poured into his mind, and there was no familiar seal at all. Although it was just a simple geometric figure, Leo felt extremely resistance. It was as difficult as stirring a pool of water with a finger. However, Leo had no time to complain. He knew that this was his only chance to turn defeat into victory.

The long sword tried hard to block the short-handed axe that was slashing, and his left hand kept trying.

"You can't succeed!" Andrewson said affirmatively. He waved the short-handed axe and seemed to be playing with Leo, as if he wanted to slowly push Leo into a desperate situation, and then tear off the flesh on his prey bit by bit like an eagle.

Li Ou pursed his lips and said nothing. He kept retreating under the surging axe and repeated failures. But he already felt that he was about to succeed. He was only a little short of the last. However, Li Ou's retreating footsteps suddenly stopped. His back hit the hard wall heavily, making a dull sound.

"I said, you won't succeed!" Andrewson laughed wantonly, "You are a loser!"

The short-handled axe was raised high, and the sharp axe blade shone with cold light.

A trace of hesitation flashed in Andrewson's eyes, and the short-handed axe that was slashing was stopped for a moment. This gave Leo time. His left hand drew a pattern of a seal like a conditioned reflex. He felt the sparse magic power in his body rushed through his arm like a torrent and gushed out from his palm.

Andrewson was as if he was hit hard by a siege rifle, flew backwards and fell heavily to the ground. The short-handed axe in his hand also swirled into the air and landed far away at the other end of the room. Andrewson stared at Leo who was approaching him in fear, and fell to the ground after trying to stand up several times.

"It belongs to me!" he shouted meaninglessly, his eyes filled with hatred for Leo. "And you took it away!"

"We all rely on our abilities."

Li Ou raised his long sword.

However, several vines that suddenly broke through the solid floor tightly tied Leo and Andrewson. Leo tried to release a magic seal of wind again, but he saw the guests walking into the room from the corner of his eyes.
