Chapter 100: The Mighty Mountains (Remastered)(1/2)

"Ship Su!"

Su Dawei walked out of Daxing Palace and saw Nan Jiulang waving his arm at himself on Zhuque Street.

There were crowds of people on the street, but no matter how many people were, they could not cover up a person.

Master Xuanzang stood beside Nan Jiulang, his face was calm, holding a string of rosary in his hand, looking in the direction of Su Dawei.

Behind him, there were the walker and the fat monk with the name Wuneng.

"Master!"

Su Dawei hurriedly avoided the crowd, quickly walked up to him, saluted Master Xuanzang and said, "Ami felt deeply uneasy when disturbing the master's practice."

“No need to do so.”

Xuanzang glanced at the palace: "Since Your Majesty does not need to summon me for the time being, then go back to Ci'en Temple."

Su Dawei glanced at Nan Jiulang, and Nan Jiulang came up and whispered: "Yesterday, Master Xuanzang argued with others, and he didn't come out until Chen. I finally invited him."

"Who is the master and the defender?"

"I heard that he was a Taoist priest named Ye Fashan."

“It sounds familiar.”

Su Dawei replied, and saw Xuanzang and the others turning around and leaving, so he quickly stepped up and thanked him again: "For this case, I disturbed the master and didn't know how to thank him."

"It's all fate, why do you need to thank me?"

Xuanzang didn't care at all.

"The case is reportedly related to Jinbao Divine Pillow. Can I tell me about it?"

“That’s how it is…”

Su Dawei followed Master Xuanzang through the crowds of Zhuque Long Street, and he felt like a dream.

He originally intended to invite Master Xuanzang to come over and prove for himself that the black bead with half-demon blood was covered with curses. As a result, after Li Chunfeng put enough money and showed a strange phenomenon with the Tang mirror, neither Changsun Wuji nor Li Zhi asked questions.

Instead, Xuanzang made a trip.

"That's how it is. By the way, Master, if His Majesty summons someone to ask about the Jinbao Divine Pillow from now on, you can report it according to facts."

“This is natural.”

Xuanzang nodded slightly, raised the rosary in his hand, gently moved it, and suddenly said, "A common thing is also a method of practice. Unfortunately, I am responsible for preaching scriptures, but I have no intention of getting involved in it."

"Yes, the mage said."

Su Dawei nodded with a bitter smile.

Although Xuanzang had no intention of blaming him, the meaning in his words was also very obvious. He did not want to be too tired of mundane things.

Wuneng interrupted, "In the past, Emperor Taizong wanted to summon the monk to return to secular life and serve him, but the monk refused. The monk wanted to return to Luoyang to translate scriptures several times, but Emperor Taizong refused."

Su Dawei smiled and said, "Senior Brother Wuneng is saying."

When Xuanzang returned to China, Emperor Taizong of Tang once said: "I am now observing the elegance of Master's poems and chaste style. Not only is it worthy of the ancients, but it also goes further away."

He also asked him to abandon his monks and return to the secular world several times.

"The emperor also found out that the master was appointed as the official's support, so he persuaded him to stop his Taoism and assisted the civil affairs."

Xuanzang said, "Xuanzang was young and obeyed the Buddhist path. Xuanzang was accustomed to the Buddhist path. This is a practice by Emperor Xuanzang, but Confucius has never heard of it. Now he is sent to follow the customs and ride a boat in the stream to abandon water and land. It is not only because of no merit, but also because of the corruption. I wish to do my best to do my best to repay the country's kindness. Xuanzang is very lucky."

In the 19th year of Zhenguan, the Tang Dynasty marched into Liaodong. Emperor Taizong asked Xuanzang to watch the battle and once again made a request to return to secular life. In the 22nd year, Emperor Taizong once again asked him to return to secular life, but Xuanzang did not change his original intention and submitted a memorial again and again, saying that "keeping the precepts and expounding the remaining laws is his wish."

It is precisely because Xuanzang did not like ordinary worlds and was unwilling to be infected with any selfish desires that he wished to devote his entire life to Buddhism.

Therefore, from Emperor Taizong to the Li Zhi period, he devoted himself to translating scriptures and refused the emperor's request to return to secular life several times.

This is the influence of Master Xuanzang, and it is difficult for the emperor to force it.

If someone else refuses Emperor Taizong, the outcome will be absolutely bleak.

It is reported that Bian Ji forced Emperor Taizong to return to secular life, and submitted a message to advise him, but ended up beheading halfway.

Later generations spread rumors, but instead it was said that Bian Ji had an affair with Princess Gaoyang.

"Although I am not involved in worldly affairs, Buddhism is a method of practice for people. To seek infinite Bodhi, one must seek in troubles and in the world. I have no energy to make a vow to translate scriptures and preach the world."

Master Xuanzang walked slowly and said to Su Dawei: "After this time, Ami, you must be careful."

"Ami knows."

Su Dawei nodded. He understood that Xuanzang was reminding himself to pay attention to Changsun Wuji.

He was also worried about this matter in his heart.

There is still a long time before Changsun Wuji loses power and Li Zhi and Wu Meiniang truly take power.

During this period, with Changsun Wuji's personality, he would probably have a storm-like blow to his palms, and he would like to get rid of it soon?

Thinking of this, Su Dawei felt a headache.

"The mage is actually like a Changsun...ah, why do people have to pursue power and eliminate dissidents?"

"Absolute power brings absolute control, and absolute control brings an "absolute" sense of security. People in the world think so, so they fall into the form and pursue the power of nothingness.

However, power is a false illusion, who can always hold power?

The ministers cannot, nor can the emperor.

Everything is like a dream bubble.

In the long river of time, there is only a ripples.

People in the world do not know that they are forced to seek for themselves, which is like a mirror, water and moon.

Therefore, even if you have power in your hands, you will not be able to gain a moment of peace. Instead, you will fall into the devil's path and be complacent."

Master Xuanzang's peaceful way.

Su Dawei thought about it and nodded in agreement.

"What the mage said makes sense. A true sense of security is not achieved by external things, but by your own heart."

"You can say this, you have a lot of wisdom."

"Master, don't say that, I still want to get married in the future."

Su Dawei said this and remembered that Xuanzang wanted to accept Lu Huineng as his disciple at that time, and Huineng panicked and refused, and couldn't help laughing.

Bang!

The walker's iron rod tapped Su Dawei's shoulder gently.

Su Dawei's shoulders sank immediately and he almost knelt down.

"Senior Brother Wukong!"

"I laughed so hard. If you can practice from a master, it is your fate. How many people can't ask for it, you can actually laugh out loud."

The walker looked quite regretful that he had "wasted the natural resources" for Su Dawei.

"Walker."

Xuanzang drank.

The walker immediately withdrew the iron rod and scratched his head in disappointment.

"From ancient times, some people pursue power, some people seek wealth, some pursue powerful martial arts, and some practice. In the final analysis, we are too small in the world and want to gain greater strength and feel safe.

The desires of the human heart are endless, so the pursuit of a sense of security is endless. The external wine, sex, wealth, power, and power are ultimately empty.

The only thing that can truly relieve troubles is the wisdom in the heart, which is the realm of Prajna in Buddhism.”

Xuanzang usually doesn't leave Ci'en Temple. At this time, he feels like he is a different world.

It seems that there is a little more interest in speaking than usual.

Su Dawei echoed on the side: "What the master said is very reasonable, but many of the truths are known, but it is difficult to achieve them in the end. I have to understand them again and again, haha."

Wuneng interrupted, "In fact, the more secular things there are, the more empty your heart will be. In turn, the less tired you are, the more peaceful your heart will be."

"Several mages have high levels of level, but Ami can't compare to them."

Su Dawei smiled and glanced at Wuneng's fat belly. He suddenly felt like laughing: This senior brother Wuneng is really like Bajie in Journey to the West. You are so tired of being big belly.

Seeing that the East City was about to be seen, I saw the Big Wild Goose Pagoda from afar.

Xuanzang said: "Ami, don't give it to you. It's a fate to know you and me. If you can enlighten you, it will be considered my infinite merits, so don't care too much."

"Thank you, Master."

"By the way, Ami, I have something else to say to you."

"Master, please tell me."

"Ami, I don't know what you've experienced before, but when you first met you, you were very cautious and almost uneasy about the whole world, even... hostility.

But in recent years, I have seen you become more and more relaxed, more and more comfortable, and even occasionally break away.

I observe your mind and nature, as if I have subdued my mind and my cultivation has improved even more."
