Chapter 4 Master Xuanzang

In the 22nd year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty, Prince Li Zhi ordered the construction of a temple to commemorate his biological mother, Empress Changsun, to pray for blessings in the underworld and repay his kind mother's kindness.

After some measurement and positioning work of "Seeing the Stars and judging the Earth", a construction plan of "Like the Sky Que, imitating the Garden" was finally formulated.

The entire project, "there are all kinds of skills, and the whole process of Huo Liang wood", "the stone, citrus, oak, oak camphor, and the whole material are as follows, pearls and jade, painting, ochre, and gold and jade are as adorned."

According to the design, after the temple was completed, there were "repeated building and hall, and cloud pavilion bridal chambers", with a total of more than ten courtyards and 1**7 rooms, and "mattresses and mattresses and utensils are all full of preparations."

On October 10th of the 22nd year of Zhenguan, Prince Li Zhi ordered that the construction of the temple "gradually achieves success and is about to be accomplished", but the monks are still short of them. According to the imperial edict of Emperor Taizong, 300 monks were saved and 50 great masters were invited to "reside in the gods and come to the way."

At the same time, the new temple was officially named "Da Ci'en Temple" and an additional "Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-Sutra-

Soon, the Trans-Sutra Academy was completed, "Hongliang caisson, blue clouds, Qiong base, Jinhuanhuan, and extraordinarily beautiful."

Afterwards, the prince Zhi ordered Master Xuanzang to move from Hongfu Temple to Dacien Temple to continue to work in translating Buddhist scriptures, serving as the Minister of Gangwei Temple.

On December 22nd year of Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong held a grand ceremony to enter the temple and promote the temple, which was unprecedented.

These were all seen by Su Dawei from Jiang Nan.

Before this, he had never thought of getting to know and investigating Master Xuanzang.

But the last time Sinnara was Master Xuanzang who came forward to protect him.

According to the information provided by Gao Dahu, the robbers seemed to have fled to Dacien Temple.

Su Dawei had to take this matter seriously.

......

Jinchangfang, Dacien Temple.

After passing the monks of the temple, Su Dawei received the approval of Master Xuanzang and walked into the temple under the guidance of the monk Zhike.

During the Tang Dynasty, the monks were very strict.

Unlike later generations who think that they are free to enter and exit.

Whether people enter or monks come out of the temple, they must report.

After a cup of tea, Su Dawei met Master Xuanzang, a famous Tang Dynasty master in a spacious and bright Zen room.

At this time, the monk was nearly fifty years old.

Maybe I went to India and was exposed to too much wind and sun, and I looked older than I was in reality.

He put his hands together, wearing a plain white monk's robe, and sat cross-legged in front of a few mahogany tables.

There are neatly stacked Sanskrit scriptures on several tables, and there are large bookcases in the Zen room, and various scriptures are stacked neatly.

A furnace of incense burned in the corner of the house, and the green air lingered in it.

There was a faint smell of sandalwood in the air.

At the door, the walker was sitting cross-legged, holding the iron rod in his arms, narrowing his eyes slightly, not knowing whether he was taking a nap or wandering.

The monk from Zhigu bowed to Xuanzang and said, "First seat, I brought the guest."

Master Xuanzang nodded slightly: "You go and do your business, I'll come and receive it."

"yes."

The monk who knows the guest retreats.

Su Dawei's eyes fell from the decorations in the Zen room to the mage in front of him.

I recalled the information about Master Xuanzang given to me by Jiang Nan.

Master Xuanzang, whose real name is Chen Yi, is from the Liu clan of Luozhou.

In order to explore the differences in the theories of various Buddhist schools, Xuanzang traveled tens of thousands of miles west in the first year of Zhenguan in the Great Tang Dynasty. After hardships, he arrived at Nalanda Temple in Tianzhu to obtain the true scriptures. In the past seventeen years, he studied various theories of Mahayana and Hinayana at that time.

In the fifteenth year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty, Xuanzang was 42 years old and met with King Jieri of Tianzhu and received generous treatments.

King Jieri decided to use Xuanzang as the main subject and held a Buddhist debate meeting in Qunu City. 18 kings, 3,000 Mahayana Buddhist scholars and 2,000 heretics participated in it.

At that time, Xuanzang was talking about the discussion and asked others for questions, but no one could question it.

He was famous in India for a time, and was honored as the "Mahayana Heaven" by the Mahayana and as the "Liberation Heaven" by the Hinayana.

In the 19th year of Zhenguan, Xuanzang returned to Chang'an.

A total of 150 Buddha relics, 7 Buddha statues, and 657 sutras and treatises were brought back, and he has been engaged in translating Buddhist scriptures for a long time.

Although I knew the name of Master Xuanzang in my previous life, most of the impressions were learned from the "Journey to the West" that some Tang monks were chattering, with naked eyes and constant trouble, and many other negative impressions.

But after reading Master Xuanzang's true resume, Su Dawei couldn't help but feel respectful.

A monk who can do such a feat must have firm beliefs, tenacity and great wisdom that ordinary people cannot achieve.

What's more, as a Tang people, in the birthplace of Buddhism, the Dharma of Heaven became the "Mahayana Heaven" and the "Liberation Heaven". Master Xuanzang must have a profound Buddhist teaching and his eloquence is unobstructed.

Master Xuanzang put down a volume of scriptures in his hand, nodded slightly to Su Dawei, and said, "I don't know what kind of teachings Su** has come here?"

Su Dawei already had his bad identity as a Chang'an, and told the monk through Zhike.

Otherwise, the master was busy translating the scriptures, and was afraid that Wuxia would meet a stranger.

"Master, just call me Ami."

Su Dawei considered the words and said, "I have something unknown here, I want to ask the wizard."

Xuanzang looked up at Su Dawei with a look of thought flashing in his eyes, and nodded slightly: "Please say."

"The last time Sinnara, I heard that the master first asked the practitioner to send a message to him, and then saved this man from His Majesty, and only expelled him from the Tang Dynasty."

Su Dawei looked straight at Master Xuanzang with his eyes: "I am in doubt. I don't know what the master wrote in the letter to Na Luo that day?"

Su Dawei thought about this question for a long time, but he never found an opportunity to verify it with Master Xuanzang in person.

Now that I have come, I will naturally ask.

Of course, this is not his main purpose today, but if he asks about the child robbing the Yuan Ye as soon as he opens his mouth, he will be too abrupt.

From the bottom of my heart, Su Dawei believed in Master Xuanzang's character and should not be involved in such dirty things.

With the monk's Buddhist practice, his attainments in Buddhism, and his status in the Tang Dynasty Buddhism, how could he encounter such a thing?

However, there may be other hidden information, so we must investigate it.

When Su Dawei asked the question, his eyes never left Master Xuanzang's face.

Since becoming a bad person, Su Dawei has seen all kinds of people, different people have different thoughts, and his eyes have been trained to see their faces and distinguish their colors.

Su Dawei can see whether this person is good or bad, whether he is guilty or not, whether he lies.

But on Master Xuanzang's face, Su Dawei could only think of one word, which is "the scenery and the moon".

Master Xuanzang's face was calm and open, and said calmly: "When Nasawa was in Zhongtianzhu, I met him once when I was defending the Dharma. I couldn't bear to see him go to the straits, so I asked the traveler to send him a letter to him. The content of the letter was to advise him to leave the Tang Dynasty and not to mess with the Buddha's heart."

"Just that's it?"

"It's just that." Master Xuanzang said affirmatively.

"Then why did the mage protect him? The last time he participated in the Yang Xirong case, he was already a serious crime."

"I did not protect him, but just presented this issue to His Majesty."

Master Xuanzang calmly narrated: "Wang Xuance sent an envoy to India, but he destroyed the Central India. In any case, he always planted the causes. If not, then he would not have come to the Tang Dynasty to seek restoration of the country.

Now Zhongtianzhu is no longer there, and Tianzhu is in chaos and Buddhism is withering. As the only remaining Buddhist monk in Zhongtianzhu, if he can return to Tianzhu to promote Buddhism, it will be beneficial to the inheritance of Buddhism and the Tang Dynasty."

He is worthy of being the eloquent and unobstructed Master Xuanzang.

Su Dawei thought to himself.

I originally thought I could stump the other party or ask something, but I didn't expect that Master Xuanzang would say it so openly, which was extremely convincing.

No one can make any mistakes.

In the past year, in the training of bad people, Su Dawei has long learned to find logical loopholes in the suspect's language, ponder out problems, and use words or induce or coercion to make the other party reveal the truth.

But when he was talking about Master Xuanzang, Su Dawei felt like he was facing a mountain.

There is no flaw and nowhere to buy.

But the other party is open-minded and speaks without knowing it.

Su Dawei shook his head secretly. He should not be scheming when he was a person like Master Xuanzang, and it would be better to go straight.

He brewed what Gao Dahu said in his heart for a while. Just as he was about to speak, Master Xuanzang looked at him calmly: "You are Su Sanlang's son?"

Knock!

Su Dawei's heart seemed to have a beat and he was stunned for a moment.

"Super Su, don't be surprised. I have met Wang Xuance in India. At that time, Su Sanlang was also in the mission."

Master Xuanzang closed his hands, raised his cheeks slightly, and closed his eyes slightly.

It seems to be a recollection of what happened back then.

"Ten years ago... in the fifteenth year of Zhenguan, I was seeking Buddhism in Zhongtianzhu and met King Jieri.

On the day of the precepts, the king of Xin Chong held a Buddhist debate meeting in Qunu City. Under the witness of the five Heavenly Kingdoms, eighteen kings, three thousand Mahayana Buddhist scholars and two thousand heretics, they studied Buddhism together.

After the Dharma Assembly, King Jie Ri insisted on asking me to attend the five-year unblocked conference, which lasted 75 days.

It was at that meeting that I met Nasasa. At that time, both sides were admiring the law.

After that, I met Wang Xuance and his delegation who were on an envoy to India.

That was probably the seventeenth year of Zhenguan.”

Master Xuanzang sighed softly and whispered: "Time passes like a white horse, and it passes in a flash.

At that time, I met Su Sanlang in Wang Xuance's mission."

"Master..."

Su Dawei didn't know what to say for a moment.

"Your father, Su Sanlang, is a very interesting person."

Xuanzang smiled slightly: "It was only after that that time that I knew the situation of my hometown from Su Sanlang and Wang Xuance that I had the idea of returning to the Tang Dynasty."

Su Dawei's expression was helpless: I understand the truth, but why do you all know the father who I don't remember? On the contrary, I, a son, don't know it.

Also, how do you know that I am Su Sanlang’s son?
