753 Hegemony 1

After the autumn harvest in 1798, the new grain was put into storage, and the Qin State began to prepare for the decisive battle with Pars.

According to the orders of the Qin King's Mansion, including armed civil officials, all young Han men and women over 15 years old in Qin State must prepare for war. In addition to rushing directly to the front line, Qin State must also have core personnel responsible for logistics transportation and stability work in the rear control area.

This will be a real mobilization, with the Han troops participating in the war reaching 30,000, of which 20,000 troops on the front line and transportation line alone, and there are also many female soldiers with guns to participate in the war, even female cavalry.

In this place far away from the core of local civilization, it has to be said that the Qin State is indeed full of martial ethics.

In addition to the Han people of Qin, Xu Daixuan also asked for support like the local and nearby Jin State. He was not polite and directly issued a list to recruit volunteer soldiers across the country. It is expected that 5,000 people will be recruited to Qin State.

There are also more than a thousand reinforcements sent by the King of Jin.

These six thousand reinforcements will bring their own weapons and horses, but the King of Qin will bear the military pay and military rations of these people. If they make military achievements, they will naturally receive generous rewards. Those who do not marry will be given a female slave to keep their blood. Just in case, their spoils can be kept on their own (but they have to pay taxes). If they plan to stay in Qin after the war, they can also get land, land, livestock and other supplies issued by the King of Qin to settle down in Qin.

While the Han soldiers were mobilizing at the extreme, other ethnic troops naturally would not be idle.

Other ethnic groups that were brought to the east of Yumen Pass by the Han people, Sauron, Mengwu, Tubo, Dangxiang, Goryeo and Fusang, were also fully mobilized.

Over the past two years, with the empire's cancellation of many foreign households, Qin State has greatly supplemented these populations. When mobilizing all of their men over 14 years old and under 60 years old, the Qin army can already dispatch 60,000 foreign soldiers.

Then there are reinforcements from countries in the Western Regions and the troops of locals.

The eight Western Regions, which depended on the Qin State to achieve great development west of the Palacio Mountains, could mobilize more than 10,000 troops.

The Tiel people, who originally lived west of the Pamir Mountains, were ordered to mobilize 20,000 soldiers, while the Khwarezm people under Zuo Helin's power mobilized another 20,000 soldiers.

The total strength of the Qin army was about 146,000, and there were also 100,000 slaves from various races who were responsible for acting as coolies and auxiliary soldiers.

As the saying goes, before the troops move, food and grass move first.

Maintaining nearly 250,000 troops to eat horses is not a simple job for any country of this era.

In order to maintain front-line combat, Xu Daixuan ordered the mobilization of large livestock across the country to maintain the capacity of the army.

The local military academy students who came to support the Qin King formulated a detailed transportation plan:

Three desert transport teams were formed with 2,400 camels, taking the desert route.

Six ordinary transport teams were formed with 18,000 horses and 3,000 cattle, responsible for transportation in non-desert areas.

Using the labor force of mobilizing slaves, roads and stations leading to the front line nationwide, each station reserves some food for emergency response.

The transport team takes a relay situation between the stations to transport grain forward. After the grain arrives at the destination, the transport team can obtain corresponding calculations, go to the rear to exchange domestically tight supplies, or directly exchange them for money.

Many large domestic companies found this to be a profitable business. When transporting to the front line, they could set aside some of the transportation capacity to transport goods to the front line to make a profit, and when they return, they could also transport goods from far away and sell them for another profit. In addition, the high freight settled by the King of Qin, eating three fish, and this kind of wartime transportation and tax preferential policies are simply pleasant.

For profit, the new capitalists each formed their own transportation teams, hired staff, guards, and purchased horses, weapons and vehicles, and prepared to provide logistics services to the King of Qin.

The specially formed transportation team, the commercial transportation team from the home country, and part of the logistics that each unit is responsible for (such as the Tiel and Khwarezm people bring their own military rations, while the Mongolians drove large flocks of sheep to the battlefield), together constituted the logistics supply force for the Qin army to go to the expedition.

With transportation capacity, there must be enough food and grass to transport to the front line.

The broken leaves of Qin, the rivers, and the Yulong Jiechi, who were actually controlled by the Khwarezmians, are both famous places with lush water and grass. However, no matter how lush water and grass are, they cannot supply such a large army and unusually numerous cattle, horses and camels.

According to the calculations of the Qin Army General Staff, if the war time is controlled within half a year, Qin State itself can only ensure that 39% of the food and grass needed by the entire army (including the cheese needed by nomads and the sheep they rushed to), the remaining 61% of the food and grass and more than 95% of the firearms and ammunition need to be transported from the country.

If the war lasts for more than half a year, the proportion of self-sufficiency food and grass will be reduced by half. If the war lasts for more than one year, then the Qin State will actually be equivalent to an entire year of unlimited harvest. Next, most of the food and grass must be supplied by the mother country until its own production capacity gradually recovers after the war ends.

The Qin King's General Staff refused to calculate the pars grain that might have been seized on the front line because they felt that the source was too unreliable. If it was calculated, it would be easy to have problems and the safety redundancy was too low.

In order to make up for this supply gap of more than 60% of the time, the King of Qin and his team must do their best.

Fortunately, the mother country has sufficient food. As long as you can get money or make the bank believe that Qin has the ability to repay, then the food itself is not a problem.

The Qin State has achieved fruitful results in large-scale cotton planting. The cotton harvested this year will be transported to China, which will solve some of the financial problems.

For Xu Daixuan, an additional good news is that the Qin State’s connection with the local area no longer needs to take the difficult northwest route, but can use the south of the desert to go directly to Qin State - this route is longer in line, but without the series of geographical obstacles in the northwest, it is actually a little better to go.

The rest of the money depends on domestic loans and loans.

To this end, the King of Qin borrowed 30 million taels of new coins from major banks of the empire with a large tract of territory and mines as collateral.

In addition, the interest rate for issuing Qin State bonds in China is much higher than that of the imperial State bonds, the first period is 10 million, the second period is 30 million, and the third period is 50 million, totaling 90 million taels.

If everything goes well, these funds are enough to make up for the gap in all materials and there is still a big surplus.

But in this regard, the Qin army needs to continue to win victory and the territory is getting bigger and bigger as the basis. If the war fails and new territory cannot be obtained, then such a large amount of money, just interest is enough for Xu Daixuan to drink a pot.

After all, it was the emperor's grandson, and the imperial royal family could not make Xu Dai show off to this point. In order to strengthen the confidence of investors, the cabinet sent 4,000 regular field troops to Qin at the end of 1798.
