390 Goryeo 2

Judging from the current situation, the Goryeo Army is much weaker than imagined, but Gongsun Sheng did not find the Goryeo Navy on Jianghua Island, which is a hidden danger.

Therefore, Gongsun Sheng ordered the prisoners to be interrogated as soon as possible, hoping to obtain information about the Goryeo Navy.

It is not difficult to obtain information.

In fact, there are many Korean people on Jianghua Island who consciously provide various information for the Qi army, not only the navy that Gongsun Sheng is most concerned about, but also all the geographical and military deployments of Goryeo from Jianghua Island to the Goryeo royal capital.

The information was so detailed that Gongsun Sheng couldn't believe it at the beginning.

However, the Navy still wants to try it, because many of the Korean prisoners voluntarily lead the Qi army. With such intelligence support, it would be a pity not to try it.

The Qi army's attack target was the estuary of the river and Han River, not far from Jianghua Island, and across the sea from Jianghua County City.

There is a small peninsula there, with Manjushri Mountain covering the waves on the peninsula, thus forming a small safe haven. The Koryo Navy is stationed near the mouth of the Han River on the east side of the peninsula.

However, according to the confession of the prisoners, the Goryeo Gyeonggi-do naval army, which the Qi army attached great importance to, was not powerful. It had only more than fifty Abalone ships and no more than ten slab boats.

The Gyeonggi-do navy's main task is to provide transportation for Goryeo bureaucrats to cross the Han River and Ganghwa Island.

The main task during the war was actually to transport the King of Goryeo, Queen, Prince, two groups of nobles and their families to Jianghua Island for refuge when the enemy attacked Wangjing City, and block the Jianghua Strait as much as possible.

As for naval battles, there are actually only 7 or 8 slab boats that have the ability to dispatch.

In other words, the Gyeonggi-do naval forces had no combat power at all. When facing sea invasion, the Goryeo people's main defensive force was the defenders on Manjushri Mountain at the mouth of the Han River.

According to the information provided by the prisoners, there were 000 defenders in Manjushri Mountain City. Due to the empty salary, only the guards in the mountain city themselves knew how many.

There is an army of 28,000 people in the Gyeonggi-do Navy. In fact, there is no way to have so many people, because the Goryeo official who once rode a naval warship on Ganghwa Island confessed that those Abalone ships usually only had more than twenty sailors, and there were more than 150 people in the slab boats, with a total of more than 60 boats of all sizes, with a maximum of no more than 000 people.

This number almost made Gongsun Sheng feel angry. He didn't quite understand how the 28,000 staff membership was enough to earn only 000 people left?

However, the captured Goryeo people were not surprised by it, according to the information provided by the prisoners:

In terms of organization, there were more than 160,000 naval corpses in the country of Goryeo. This huge number was also the main reason why Qi Province was very careful about the Goryeo Navy before the war.

However, this is only the number of registered personnel. In fact, Goryeo implements a one-soldier and three-guarantee system. That is to say, a real "main soldiers" must have three auxiliary soldiers who only exist in the account book.

Therefore, even if the Korean navy actually uses only 40,000 combatants, even if calculated according to the organization, there are only 40,000.

These so-called regular soldiers are not actually in the process of being a member of the navy. The coolies who account for half of the number of sailboats are temporarily recruited when needed. They usually only occupy the number of soldiers, but they do not actually exist.

The other half of the regular soldiers must be divided into two fortunes, each fortune must be divided into three parts and takes turns to work.

In other words, there may actually be less than 50 people on duty on the Goryeo Navy's books...

When Gongsun Sheng learned about this situation, he was really shocked.

In this great battle, can the military equipment of the Goryeo Kingdom be so weak? How big is this?

However, the Qi Provincial Fleet lacked capacity, and the main fleet must return to Dengzhou immediately to participate in the transportation operations of Xu Shiyang. Therefore, except for the 4,000 army, Gongsun Sheng's troops were only a few reconnaissance ships stranded on Jianghua Island.

Although Gongsun Sheng had completed the goal of occupying a foothold on the peninsula set by the General Staff, he still had no time to deal with the Goryeo Gyeonggi-do naval division, which was far less powerful than the one imagined before the war, and could only wait quietly for Xu Shiyang's arrival.

This will probably give the Korean people some reaction time.

On November 25, 2018, the second year of Longdao, Xu Shiyang led the main force of the Qi army to Jianghua Island. With him, there were the advance fleet sent by the Li family in Shuangyu - twelve large sea ships commanded by Li Feifeng, more than 30 medium sea ships and more than 120 small ships, and more than 7,000 pirate sailors.

Xu Shiyang did not trust the Li family pirates' land combat capabilities, and the reason why he called them was mainly to increase their maritime transportation capabilities.

After all, Goryeo is not Lushun, and sea boats cannot be used once a day, which increases the pressure on Xu Shiyang's shipping.

Therefore, Xu Shiyang hopes that this war will be supported by the Li family, and he will use the spoils he obtained from Goryeo to make some compensation to the Li family.

The Li family was not confident about how much trophy Goryeo could provide, but he decided to support Xu Shiyang.

The main reason is that he wants to improve his relationship with the Xu family as much as possible.

Last year, the Great Zhou court completed the recruitment work of Li Feihu, Li Feihuang and others, and the operation of Xu Shisong and Xu Shiliu.

Neither of these two people accepted Qin Huizhi's invitation before, so they were treated differently by Xianggong Wen.

Li Feilong and Li Feifeng, the big cabinets that once supported Qin Xianggong, did not have such good treatment.

In fact, Li Feihu also wanted to participate in this operation, but he was already an official army of the Great Zhou Dynasty. Taking the initiative to attack other countries was a "unfair border provocation". Li Feilong and Li Feifeng have no such concerns for the time being.

Fortunately, although the relationship between Li Feilong and Li Feihu brothers was tense, they had not completely turned against each other. He came to support Xu Shiyang, and Li Feihu could also gain some favor from Qi Sheng.

After Xu Shiyang arrived on Jianghua Island, the Xu and Li coalition forces had assembled more than 500 large and small ships near the Han River estuary, exceeding ten thousand troops.

During the 7 or 8 days from the occupation of Jianghua Island to the landing of Xu Shiyang, the navy's reconnaissance ships conducted forceful reconnaissance near Manjushri Mountain many times.

The Qi army discovered that the Goryeo Army's aggregation speed was astonishingly slow, and some army support was received on Manjushri Mountain City, but it seemed that the total force was still no more than 3,000.

The Gyeonggi-do naval division dispatched platy boats to expel the Qi army's reconnaissance ships twice, but one of the platy boats was bombarded by the reconnaissance ships with magic cannons. Most of the casualties were captured by the Qi army, and the rest of the Goryeo ships were all shrunk back.

Qi Jun interrogated the prisoners on the board house and the news he received was:

In theory, there should be 6,000 Korean troops in Manjushri Mountain City, but in fact, they barely gathered 000 people.

As for the Gyeonggi-do naval masters..., uh, for so long, they had not received any reinforcement, and they did not even recruit temporary slaughtermen - it is said that because the slaughtermen, who were mainly slaves, were serving the two squads and the king, and mobilizing them would affect the income of the king and the nobles.
