Chapter 87 Exceeding the task

Twenty minutes after the call, Michael Paso came to Victor von Dum's institute as promised with an Inhuman under control. He briefly explained to Dum about the relationship between the Honeycomb and the Inhuman, how the Honeycomb could control the Inhuman and make sure they worked for him wholeheartedly, and he hoped that Dum could study the working principle of his ability and deal with it.

For some reason, drugs such as sedatives and anesthetics seemed to have no effect on the Immortals who were infected by the hive. Therefore, in order to make the Immortal quieter to cooperate with the experiment, Michael cast a small hypnotic spell on him. As long as the magic power he injected was not consumed, the Immortal would sleep like a dead pig throughout the whole process.

Dum didn't ask much. He fixed the alien on the bed and pushed it into the biological laboratory of the institute. He put on a mask and gloves in a quick manner to start work, looking quite similar to the surgeon who had an emergency surgery.

He used various cutting-edge medical equipment in the institute to do a thorough examination of the alien inside and outside, from bones, body fluids, muscles to skin, every internal organ, and even his nervous system was fully monitored, and he almost pulled out his soul and observed under a microscope (actually Michael couldn't do this part).

Two hours later, Doom threw down his gloves and mask and walked out of the lab. He turned on the computer's floating virtual screen remotely and showed the results to Michael.

Michael roughly glanced at the complex medical images and data results on the screen.

"You seem to have a clue about your performance?"

“I can’t pretend to say ‘It’s no big deal, it’s something I’ve seen long ago’ because… I really haven’t heard of it, and I’ve never even heard of anything like that,” Dumm said.

"Explain it."

Dumm organized some language.

"Well, first of all, I did find out that the guy you mentioned could infect and transform these superpowers...You said they were called 'Ingenious'? It doesn't matter, I did find the reason anyway."

Dum said, reaching out and magnifying an image in the air, showing the brain of the alien.

"Look here." He pointed to a part of the brain image, "this area is the main part of the parasite gathering."

"The nerve center that controls pleasure?"

Dum nodded: "As we know, normally parasites tend to attack the host's body organs and weaken their various physiological functions. But the parasites in our case are different. They live in the pleasure center and continuously release dopamine to stimulate the host to feel confident, comfortable, confident, and even feel invincible."

He paused, and frowned: "In fact, I noticed that these parasites may have such an effect. They strengthened the host's body in an extremely unique way, greatly improving their patience and recovery ability, and at the same time weakening their perceived and receiving ability to suffer pain."

"So that's why sedatives don't work for them," Michael said.

"Not only that, it has a significant impact on their movement and battles." Dum lifted his chin, "It's incredible. Such a small amount of parasites can have such an effect. Do you think these infections are from a collection of a large number of parasites? It's hard to imagine how powerful it would be if such a large number of parasites gathered in the same body..."

"I've seen it," Michael said calmly, "It's just that."

Dum was choked. He remembered that he had only witnessed the guy in front of him fucking in hell with a real demon gun in live ammunition. If it were compared with this monster, then a ball of parasites really seemed to be nothing to be surprised about.

Michael asked again: "What about the solution? Have you found a way to reverse this process?"

"I haven't been tested enough, and I can't give a definite answer to the experiment and data comparison." Dumd paused and changed his tone, "but I do have a high chance of feasible solution."

In fact, Michael did not expect Doom to give an answer so easily, because no matter how he just went in and did two hours of examination on an infected Inhuman body. Michael still vaguely remembered that in the TV series "Agents of SHIELD", the genius science team of SHIELD was hollowed out and failed to develop a perfect antidote, which shows that the infection of the hive is indeed extremely difficult to relieve.

But Dum's answer sounds quite confident.

Dumm reached out and wiped another virtual screen out of thin air. After clicking a few times to open a new project file, he raised his hand to pass the screen interface to Michael. Michael reached out to catch it.

The interface is a small robot in the shape of a crawler. It is very small but the design is quite delicate and delicate. Michael roughly glanced and briefly introduced: "Nanometer?"

“Yes, I developed a project in the past, and I called them ‘nanoworms’,” Dumm said. “I believe I could program them to attack parasites in specific areas of the host.”

"There won't be any side effects?" Michael remembers that some antitoxin found by ASCHE in the TV series could be at risk of destroying the target's IVF immune system.

Dum said proudly: "Of course not. Who do you think I am? I never take out half-baked products, and what Dum takes out is always the best and perfect."

No matter how arrogant he is, he has to say that Victor von Doom is indeed a bit too genius. He actually found out the principle of the infection ability of the hive through just two hours of inspection and gave a near-perfect solution.

Moreover, Dumm is almost an all-round genius without a moment. He is a top expert in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapon technology, biochemistry and time theory... Basically, he is a top expert in any subject related to science. He learns and receives knowledge very quickly. If he hadn't known Dumm, Michael would almost doubt that this guy would be a slut that travels through with a super brain with a gold finger.

"Do you want to know the detailed plan?" Dumm asked.

"No need." Michael reached out and closed the interface, "Just design yourself, and notify me after you finish it."

After pausing, he turned to the scene and said, "But how is the specific progress of the design plan of the multi-functional machine I gave you before?"

"It may take a while."

When Dum mentioned this topic, he was a little discouraged. He closed the nanoworm project and quickly picked out robot-related projects from the file list. He opened four different types of sea, land, air and stealth to show them to the boss in an independent interface.

"I have tried my best to figure out what I can to improve the materials on the basis of meeting the defense capabilities, and tried various alloy materials. I adjusted the energy transmission efficiency to reduce energy consumption loss to achieve the ability to extend the range of combat without increasing energy consumption. Then, in order to achieve the dual requirements of short-range displacement and long-distance flight speed, I modified the thrusters of air combat aircraft into two, among which the pulse boosters are used for short-range high-speed bursts, while the long-range thrusters start slowly, but the maximum speed can barely reach supersonic speed... But no matter what, the average budget for each unit is still more than 700,000. I am still working hard to improve."

Michael's eyes swept over the drawings of the four models of machines, and his mouth couldn't help but smile with praise.

He told Dum that each of these mass-produced machines should not cost more than 500,000 yuan. In fact, he himself knew how harsh such requirements were. When he proposed this, he just wanted to make the task appear challenging enough, and he did not really expect Dum to achieve this goal that was almost impossible to achieve from reality.

But who would have thought? This guy actually reduced the cost of a single robot to 700,000 in such a short time, and all the performances were barely enough to meet the expected value Michael had listed before. This was much beyond his expectations.

Michael closed his fingers and turned off all the interfaces floating in front of him, saying, "That's all. The task was done very well, Victor."

Dum was stunned, then suddenly figured out something, and said unhappily: "Wait, you said the request for 500,000 yuan before... Are you cheating on me?"

"That's not called playing tricks on you, Victor, that's a goal worth working on. If I've been assigning you unchallenging tasks, how can you make progress?" Michael said, "Look, aren't you breaking through yourself?"

Dum opened his mouth dissatisfiedly, and wanted to say something, but was interrupted by the melody of the phone ringtone.

"Sorry, I have to pick it up."

Michael took out his cell phone and answered the phone: "Sherry?"

"Sorry for disturbing, sir. But there is a clue surface, and the hive may have appeared again."

"Very good." Michael said lightly, "Then we have to make sure he can't run away this time."
