Chapter 379 Fighting side by side

Rogers's consciousness, which was on the verge of dissipation, gradually recovered, and felt like he was being fished out of the water. He opened his eyes in confusion, and the strong light made his vision temporarily difficult to focus.

When his vision finally recovered, he saw Bucky's own best friend, squatting next to him expressionlessly.

"Bucky? Is it you?"

"It's me."

The captain sat up and pressed his temple that was still a little swollen. The dizziness and weakness disappeared, and the muscles were no longer sore and swelling, but the mind was still a little drowsy, and it might take some time to fully resume operation.

"I feel much better, what did you do?"

Bucky shook a empty syringe in his hand: "Anti-donor. It works quite quickly, your signs will return to normal in half a minute."

The captain raised his eyebrows: "Anti-donor? So you knew I would be poisoned?"

"I don't know, but the boss who gave me the orders knew." Bucky said lightly, "I will come here and it's also a task from my superiors. I received the task of keeping a close eye on him when Scripps first entered the country."

"So your superiors have known that he has a problem." The captain knew. He already knew who Bucky's current boss is. If it were someone else, he might wonder how the other party saw through Scripps' identity and had problems, but if it was the Black Knight, there seemed to be nothing to be surprised about.

It feels like that person should know everything for granted.

"But to be honest, I was shocked just now." Bucky helped him stand up and said, "I didn't mention the description of the task I received. The woman was the daughter of Red Skull for decades. She didn't show up at all. Even if we didn't know that she still existed before today."

"Yes." Rogers looked complicated, "I thought that from now on, I would only mention history when I heard this name again."

"Reminiscent of the past, right?" Bucky said, "The days we fight against the Red Skull together?"

"Bucky, you know, we can still fight side by side now," Rogers said.

Bucky chuckled and patted his shoulder: "We're already fighting side by side, Steve."

Then, without waiting for him to say anything, Bucky had turned around and walked outward, waved his hand at him.

"Your teammates should know you're here now," he said at the end. "I won't bother you anymore, I'll talk about it next time I have time."

He left. Rogers stood alone in the safe room, looking at the messy environment, and seemed to have been in deep thought for a while without moving.

A few seconds later, the outer wall was blown open in a roar, and the choking smoke rolled in like a hurricane. Iron Man flew in, holding a repulsive cannon in his hand: "Captain? Are you okay? I'll help you uh?"

He put down his arms and looked around in confusion.

"I'm late, right?" He looked at the captain, "What happened? Where is our stubborn and bad-tempered old gentleman?"

Rogers pulled out the shield inserted into the wall and said, "Let's talk about it slowly, things are a bit complicated. First of all, Mr. Scripps didn't come to the United States at all."

Tony moved his eyebrows under the mask: "Wait, what did you just say?"

"Sergeant Barnes' mission is completed."

Shirley's voice suddenly rang behind Michael, who was standing between a circle of floating screens that formed a ring. He turned his head down and saw the girl lying horizontally on the laboratory bench behind him, with her hands on her delicate chin and her head swaying cutely.

“How is the situation?”

"The other party escaped, but Captain America was rescued." Shirley said, "and the other party's identity has also been found."

She waved her hand, and she sucked one of the several screens surrounding Michael. An image of a woman quickly popped up in the picture. In the picture, she was wearing sunglasses, red hair, and a brown fur coat. Her hands were naturally in her pocket, with a rigid look even a little unnatural.

"Cynthia Schmidt, she claims to be the daughter of the Red Skull. She was born on an exile island, a base that was set up by the Red Skull as a training camp for the Future Warriors. The Tianjian agent has personally confirmed that the facility. There is indeed this place, but it has been abandoned for many years."

"We had no information about her before this?"

"No, sir. The information related to her has not been mentioned in the database of Hydra. She has been carefully hiding her figure for the past few decades. I have found that her footprints are spread across more than twenty countries in the world, and have used more than thirty different identities. But because she has been careful to avoid ASCH and Hydra and has never made any big moves, she has not attracted any attention yet."

"I see."

"Do you need special attention?" Shirley asked.

"No need. It's just a reinforcement person. It's not enough to pay for me personally. Leave it to other departments." Michael said casually, "And since she has given up hiding, the Avengers and ASCHE will definitely not give up. Let them go for it themselves. In comparison."

He stretched out his hand and stroked another screen on the left in front of him. It showed some abnormal data collected by Tianjian recently about Atlantic activities.

"It's true that this is more disturbing."

Cynthia Schmidt returned to her hiding place and roughly tore off the mask on her face. She threw the coat she used to hide her identity on the carpet, and strode to the cabinet and took out a bottle of whiskey, and took a big mouthful of it.

Suddenly, Cynthia's right arm grew and the flying knife came out like a boomerang. The dark shadow lurking in the corner raised her right hand lightly and accurately stopped the flying knife she threw in her hand.

Cynthia frowned. Who is that person? Avenger? Or Ashishield? She was obviously extremely careful. Was the hiding place finally exposed?

The other party slowly walked out of the shadow.

A burly man with arms as thick as a tree trunk, solid shoulders as wide as rocks, thick eyebrows and big eyes, beard, and wild breath.

"I really didn't expect that there was a Schmidt alive in the world." The man walked closer with a smile, holding the dagger in his hand and swaying, "What a surprise."

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"My name is Brockrumlo, but you can also call me crossbones." The man said slowly, "As for what I want? I should say that I hope I can help you and fulfill your long-cherished wish."

"Oh, you." Cynthia remembered, "I remember you are indeed the remnant of Hydra, right? It's really hard for you to be arrested in this situation. But how can you help me? Can you help me with the current S.H.E.L.D., or can you handle all the Avengers?"

"All is OK, if we are lucky enough." Crossbones smiled mysteriously, as if they were deliberately calming down, "Have you ever heard of the biggest failure of your father in his life?"
