Chapter 448 Potions Lesson

Outside the professor of magic science's office, Franklin was waiting alone for Mike in the office, and as for Clark, he ran to study.

Hogwarts students in the sixth and seventh grades have a lot of free time. Some of the reasons are that many students have been disqualified from elective courses due to grades, but more of the reasons are that the courses are too difficult. Most professors take the initiative to reduce the course density and teaching progress so that students can have more time to absorb and digest current knowledge.

Many students with poor self-control start to do things randomly after gaining so much free time. Their attention shifts from learning to novels, shopping, wizard chess and even love, especially in love. The ratio of couples in the sixth and seventh grades of Hogwarts is very high. Unlike the Muggle society that breaks up after graduation, due to the particularity and closed nature of the wizard society, most of these couples can enter the palace of marriage.

In fact, a considerable number of couples in the wizard society met on campus, such as Harry's parents, and Neville and Ron's parents.

Mike even suspected that this might be a conspiracy made by the Ministry of Magic to increase the fertility rate. After all, young people of this age will have no other fun if they are idle.

Moreover, their mentality is not mature in this grade, so boys and girls do not know the restraint and safety measures, so they can easily cause death. In the end, they can only become parents early (abortions in the wizarding world are illegal!).

But there are also a small number of students who always focus on their studies. They are either because of family pressure or because of their amazing self-control, but no matter what, they are the future of the wizard world.

Clark belongs to this kind of person. In fact, it is very rare for him to save time to interact with Mike specifically. You should know that he is about to graduate this year.

Clark's departure also made Franklin a little bored. He had been waiting here for almost half an hour. He really didn't understand what was going on between Mike and Professor Flevy to talk for so long.

Franklin leaned against the wall, staring at the office door with his eyes blank.

The next moment, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Franklin was excited. As soon as his pupils gathered again, he saw Professor Flevy jumping out of the door at a terrible speed that almost turned into a afterimage. Franklin, who was not at the door, rushed directly to the stairs.

Then Mike walked out with a smile. He saw Franklin looking at Professor Flevy's back with a look of surprise, and explained first:

"Professor Flevy is about to be late for class."

Franklin looked at the clock hanging on the wall stiffly and murmured:

"It seems he is already late?"

"Oh, is that true? That's really bad."

"It's pretty bad. Only students are late for class. This is the first time I heard about the professor."

Mike was amused by Franklin and chuckled a few times. After his mood calmed down, he took Franklin back to the Ravenclaw lounge.

Since both of them gave up a lot of elective courses, they had no classes to take throughout the morning.

Mike naturally would not waste such a long period of free time. After returning to the Ravenclaw lounge, he went directly to the Masonic Secret Realm and began further training on the spell in the spell practice square.

As for Franklin, he went to Quidditch Stadium for training.

Because the previous captain finally graduated, the captain of Ravenclaw Quidditch has now become Cedric's fiancée Qiu Zhang. However, Qiu Zhang, who is already in the seventh grade this year, is obviously more willing to focus on studying. She delegated a lot of the team's power, including the selection of players.

The reason why Franklin passed by today is to discuss with other senior players how to select new players this year.

It was not until noon that the two returned to Hogwarts for lunch.

During this period, Franklin talked endlessly to Mike about their schedule this year and claimed that they will definitely be able to regain the Quidditch Trophy this year.

This made Mike speechless. He smiled and shook his head, but saw that the students around him were talking to each other happily. Several lower-grade students even dug each other with sausages as swords on the dining table, and the entire restaurant was filled with laughter.

This scene made Mike feel a little moved.

Now the entire wizarding world is extremely frightened by Voldemort's return, but Hogwarts is like a protection spell to protect these students firmly, keeping their lives undisturbed.

It would be a pity if such a place was destroyed.

Mike thought so.

...

After lunch break, Mike finally ushered in his first class in the new semester - Potions.

The teaching location of this course is still close to the basement of Slytherin College. When Mike and Franklin came to the corridor in front of the basement together, they found that more than a dozen people were gathering here talking and laughing.

The arrival of Mike and Franklin quickly attracted their attention, and several Ravenclaw's students then leaned forward and greeted Mike excitedly.

After saying hello to them, Mike looked at the crowd again and found the three-man in a corner outside.

Harry's condition looked much better than yesterday. At least he had a smile on his face now, while Hermione kept looking through his potion textbook, muttering something with striking words while reading it. From time to time, he would close the books, tilt his head, close his eyes and mutter to himself, as if he was reciting the text.

As for Ron, he still looked heartless. At this moment, he was talking excitedly with a short-haired black boy next to him. Mike guessed that the topic between them must be Quidditch.

"Hey, Harry."

Mike smiled and went forward to say hello. The latter was stunned when he heard this, and then a brighter smile appeared on his face.

"Mike! You also chose the Potion Improvement Class? Oh! You will definitely choose whatever stupid things I said."

"I also guessed that you would definitely choose Potions after the admission standards for Potions Improvement Classes are lowered." Mike said with a smile, "I also guessed that you definitely didn't prepare textbooks."

"Well, it's true. Although you reminded me during the summer vacation, I still didn't expect that I could continue to take potions, so... but don't worry, Professor McGonagall said I could borrow it from Professor Slughorn for a while."

"I don't think you need to borrow it from him." Mike said, taking out a wrinkled book from his pocket, "Advanced Potion Making" and a brand new balance and handing it over. "This is a second-hand book I picked up a few years ago, and I think you can use it."

"Thank you...thank you."

Harry took the book, but the smile on his face was a little stiff.

Looking at the broken pages of the book that were almost broken (it wasn't so broken, but after reading them by the Freemasons), Mike quickly reacted, knowing that Harry had misunderstood, and quickly explained:

"Oh, sorry Harry. I hope you don't get it wrong. I'm giving you old books entirely because there are many previous notes from a senior. I think they should help you, and there is no other meaning at all. Uh, or you can use it for a while, and then write a letter to Lihen Bookstore to order a new book."

The expression on Harry's face suddenly stretched out, and he said with some guilt and embarrassment:

"Sorry Mike, you know, that's not what I mean."

"It doesn't matter."

Mike and Harry looked at each other and smiled, and Ron also leaned over. His expression was a little disappointed because he didn't have a textbook, but obviously Mike didn't prepare his part.

After a long time, he took a deep breath and asked:

"Mike, do you mean you have already obtained this book? But... why? I mean, haven't the potion class started this year? You don't need to..."

Before he could finish his words, Hermione, who was reciting the text, laughed. She glanced at Ron with the look of looking at the slug, and said disdainfully:

"That's why you can't get good at potions, because you'll never try to preview what you haven't learned yet."

Ron's face turned red when he said it, but he didn't dare to do it here. He could only wait for Hermione with big round bell-like eyes. Hermione was also staring at him. The two of them didn't blink, as if whoever blinked first would lose. Harry, who was on the side, looked a little embarrassed because he was the same as Ron.

At this time, someone shouted that it was about to start class. Hermione and Ron guessed that they had ended the challenge of staring, rubbed their dry eyes and followed the crowd into the underground classroom.

As soon as he walked into the basement, Mike saw a big round belly. When he looked closely, he realized that it was Slughorn. He was enthusiastically guarding the door of the classroom and welcoming every student who came to class.

He seemed very happy to look at the students who gave him one by one.

Especially when Mike and Harry asked him goodbye, he laughed so that his walrus beards kept shaking.

The Potions classroom at this time has changed a lot compared to before. It was originally dark and gloomy. Snape was like a photo-afraid bat forbidden students from lighting open flames in the classroom. Even if it was really necessary to illuminate, the extremely low-temperature magic flames must be used. The light from the light green flames was cold. Combined with the glass jar specimens placed on the shelves around, the Potions classroom turned into a cemetery laboratory for the terrifying necromancer of the medieval terrifying necromancer.

But now it is different. Slughorn's taste is obviously different from Snape. Not only did he remove the shelves, he also arranged many magic lamps with warm yellow lights around the classroom, illuminating the entire classroom warmly. And at this time the potion classroom was filled with a lot of water vapor. If it weren't for the strange smells in the air, Mike would have thought of this place in a large bathroom.

He looked closely and found that there were several crucibles that were bubbling in the classroom. The strange smells and steam in the classroom were coming from here.

At this time, there were already several Slytherins sitting here in the classroom. It was obvious that they had the geographical advantage and got here first.

Unlike the ordinary courses in the past, Potions were taught together in the four major academies, because Potions are too difficult and Jin Jialong has consumed too much. Not to mention the Snape period in the past, even if Slughorn has taken the initiative to lower the admission standards for Potions courses, not many people are willing to attend.

Mike, Franklin and others soon walked into the classroom, and they passed through one with a crucible, but everyone stopped as they passed a golden crucible near the long table of Gryffindor.

Because the smell in this cauldron was so pleasant, Mike even smelled a Cuban cigar that was not lit inside, which made him unable to help but take a few breaths after quitting smoking for a long time.

The others had similar expressions, all of whom were intoxicated. Harry and Ron even closed their eyes and sucked hard with their heads tilted.

This made Mike immediately alert. After all, these people are not addicted to smoking and have no reason to indulge in the smell of cigars.

He then looked at the golden crucible. When he saw the spiraling white steam above the crucible, Mike showed a sudden expression of enlightenment.

The romance agent is cooked in this crucible!

Mike swallowed, and finally took a deep breath of the intoxicating fragrance. Then he forced Franklin, who was still unwilling to leave, to Ravenclaw's long table.

"Hey! Mike, what are you doing? I want to smell it for a while."

Franklin complained dissatisfiedly, but when he heard this, Mike's eyes turned and asked with a strange smile:

"Is that so? What did you smell just now?"

"What's the question you asked? Wasn't that the question from Porterby Magical Hair Soft?"

Mike said with a confused look on his face:

"Why do you smell the soft hair? Also, how do you remember the smell of soft hair without using soft hair at all?"

"This is because of Clin…"

Franklin stopped when he said it, but Mike still understood what he meant. He looked at Franklin with a teasing look on his face, and the latter's dark face also showed a rare blush.

At this time, everyone else had also sat down. Harry and Ron and others sat directly next to the golden cauldron. As for the others, they could only reluctantly return to their seats in their respective academys.

Seeing that everyone took their place, Professor Slughorn also returned to the podium with a smile.

"Okay, OK," Slughorn said to everyone through the steaming steam, "Students, please take out your balance, medicine bag and your "Advanced Potion Making"... Oh! By the way, Professor McGonagall told me before that you don't have textbooks. Don't worry, kid, don't worry at all. You can use the raw materials in the storage cabinet today, and you can lend them to you both balances and old books."

"Well, thank you for your kindness." Harry stammered, "but I already have a textbook, which was lent to me by Mike. But Ron hasn't, can you lend it to him?"
