Chapter 14 Dharma Assembly (Part 1)
Since the construction of Guiyuan Temple, the old monkey has been living in the hut. It has not been rained for hundreds of years. Today, the hut collapsed and raindrops fell all over the sky, wetting his long hair and cooling his body slightly.
He shook his head, and the wet brown hair spread a bunch of water, which was a bit sexy.
"Let's talk about that guy comes back." The ancestor thought at last, "I accepted him as his apprentice just to go out. Now... I just want everyone to live happily and not have anything to do... Go out? Well, it's so uncomfortable that I got wet today. Maybe? Maybe... it's good to live in this temple like this?"
A lot of broken newspapers were beside my ancestors. A small ball was raised under the newspaper. I don’t know what was inside. It was a rustling sound, and a furry green head came out of it. It was the green lion.
The little green lion lay beside the ancestor, with her front paws folded flat, her head resting weakly on the hair claws, her eyes extremely sad, looking at a certain direction in the sky.
The ancestor stretched out his hand, hesitated for a moment, and gently placed it on its head, rubbed it twice, and sighed.
The battle between Bodhisattvas on earth has indeed brought terrifying consequences. Mount Wutai is already in chaos, and the disciples who were originally shrouded in the Buddha's light can't help but feel a little nervous and don't know why.
About 100 kilometers away from Mount Wutai, Lama Tsaxi sensed the Buddhist war on the mountain behind. She looked calm and suppressed her mind and did not turn around. She just accelerated her pace and dragged the little lama at hand to quickly go west and towards Zangyuan.
No wonder Master Tsongkhapa had previously called his master and disciple to leave Mount Wutai as soon as possible.
On Mount Wutai, there was a Buddhist conference. The light was clear and the mind was calm. It was a brilliant Dharma conference, but now it has become a battlefield for great supernatural powers, leaving scars all over the mountain, and it was extremely sad.
This is how it is in the world.
Where is the sky?
When Ye Xiangseng held a Dharma Assembly on Mount Wutai, there were two Dharma Assembly held at the same time in heaven.
One is in the Pure Land of the West, on the banks of the Yellow Lake, in front of the green mountains, the Bodhisattvas in the sky pay homage to each other, the goddess scatters flowers, and in front of Amitabha Buddha's seat, the Dharma Assembly is in a magnificent atmosphere.
What shocked the sentient beings in the heavenly world was another Dharma Assembly.
That Dharma Assembly is on the Lingshan Mountain of Putuo, Guanyin Bodhisattva’s Temple.
Putuo Mountain is very lively this day. The green trees all over the mountain are shaking slightly in the breeze. It seems that their stomachs are hurting and their belly is shaking. The green lights in the mountain are more prosperous than before. It seems that they foresee that their temple has finally ushered in some great moment - Guanyin Bodhisattva is preparing to hold the first Dharma Assembly in five hundred years.
Since Guanyin Bodhisattva threatened to serve Amitabha Buddha, and later followed the Buddha for many years, he has never held a Dharma assembly alone. According to legend, the Heavenly Lord once asked the Bodhisattva occasionally. Why didn’t he hold a Dharma assembly? The Bodhisattva replied: “The Buddha is my teacher and Amitabha Buddha is my father. I just stand aside and listen to the Dharma assembly more. How can I have the ability to hold a Dharma assembly by myself.”
All the immortals, gods and Bodhisattvas know that Guanyin Bodhisattva is modest.
Everyone in heaven respects the Bodhisattva and fears the Bodhisattva because of his modesty. From the beginning of his rise in the heavens, until later, he became a great figure in the two schools of Buddhism and Taoism, he still maintained his initial modesty. But everyone knows that this Bodhisattva is not simple, and he also found that this Bodhisattva has always been modest, so everyone is deeply confused in their hearts - what kind of person is Guanyin Bodhisattva? - So Guanyin Bodhisattva always has a faint mysterious color, and it is because of this mystery that makes everyone... very scared.
Really scared.
Although everyone knows his life experience. Moreover, his name of compassion has long been spread to all living beings in the three realms, and his friendship must be the most extensive of the people in the heavenly world. But it is still very mysterious, because he is a disciple of the Buddha, but there is no ranking in the sect. He is the son of Amitabha Buddha in the secular world. The servant beside him has been following the Buddha's land, but no one knows what he is going to do.
According to the current world, Guanyin Bodhisattva is the Buddha's private secretary. There are many smart people in the heaven. In the eyes of these smart people, a private secretary who is always calm and compassionate and does not offend anyone is a terrible existence.
Especially Buddha's personal secretary.
The Buddha disappeared, Mount Sumeru collapsed, Guanyin Bodhisattva returned to the Western Pure Land and returned to Amitabha. Amitabha did not deal with him like Manjushri Samantabhadra, and the gods in the heaven were all guessing, on the one hand, it was because of the inheritance relationship between Amitabha and Guanyin Bodhisattva, and on the other hand, I was afraid that Amitabha himself would not be sure to deal with this mysterious Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Taoist earthly immortals are all speculating about what kind of agreement Guanyin Bodhisattva has reached with Amitabha Buddha, so that he will stay quietly by Amitabha Buddha without expressing any tendency to the demise of Mount Sumeru.
If Guanyin Bodhisattva expressed his views, the Buddha land now may have been divided because to some extent, people have already recognized it, and his views represent the views of the Buddha.
But after waiting for five hundred years, Guanyin Bodhisattva still quietly held the bottle and stood beside Amitabha Buddha, serving as the inconspicuously serving the background.
So the people in the heavenly realm began to wonder, was it possible that Guanyin Bodhisattva was planning to continue like this, and wait for thousands or tens of thousands of years before successfully taking over the position of Amitabha Buddha?
However, this situation is very different from everyone's understanding of Guanyin Bodhisattva.
It should not be so simple. Really, Guanyin Bodhisattva should not be so simple.
This situation is like the feeling of people when reading novels. When they see the protagonist in the novel, they will be very happy to conquer cities and land. If they see the end, they will find that the protagonist is at the side of a certain master and wait steadily for the finale of the story. This will be very unhappy. The male protagonist becomes a supporting actor, and Tony Leung will be unhappy, let alone these people who read novels.
In the minds of the people in the heavenly world, Guanyin Bodhisattva is a bit like a male protagonist with a little mysterious and a little unknowable meaning.
Everyone was waiting for him to turn his hands into clouds and rain, but he kept quiet. He retreated to the supporting actor position, and everyone could not be disappointed, the spectator was annoyed, and the corners of his lips were sore.

A few days ago, a big news came from the Western Pure Land that shocked the Three Realms. The news was very simple. The King of Duowen from the North was the first to know the news. On that day, in the small room on duty outside the South Heaven Gate, he lowered his voice and said to the few people around him: "Do you know? Guanyin Bodhisattva has made any moves."
Therefore, everyone in the heavenly realm knew that Guanyin Bodhisattva had acted.
First, no matter what the actions of Guanyin Bodhisattva are, as long as the actions of Guanyin Bodhisattva are always quiet and lying beside Amitabha Buddha, the fact that the action suddenly has already aroused everyone's interest and shocked everyone's mind.
If you don’t move for five hundred years, you will be shocking.
A few days later, things gradually became clear. I heard that Amitabha Buddha was holding a Dharma Assembly in the Pure Land that day, and the yellow cranes were flying around. When I heard the four Buddhist verses, Guanyin Bodhisattva suddenly walked to the lakeside, poured a bottle of clean water, and then left without any politeness. He left his mocking back to the Bodhisattva Arhat in the Pure Land and the Buddha.
Every aspect of the matter was transmitted to different listeners through different observers. Some people had great doubts about the smile when the Bodhisattva left, and tried to judge the emotions deep in the Bodhisattva's heart from the corner of the smile. Some people were using the nth hand information to calculate the posture of the Bodhisattva squatting when he walked to the lake to determine the direction he was thinking at that time, and some people were asking around what the expression on the Bodhisattva's face looked like.
Fortunately, no one asked anyone to write about Amitabha's expression at that time. He still had this respect for a great Buddha.
The matter was still not understood, why did Guanyin Bodhisattva suddenly leave the Dharma Assembly and why did Amitabha sigh?
But everyone knows that Bodhisattva and Buddha use these two actions to express a break.
Among the heavens in the Taoist realm, great supernatural powers who truly have great wisdom have noticed a noteworthy point from the scene described by others. Before Guanyin Bodhisattva left, he went to the lake to fill a bottle of clean water. This action aroused their suspicion. Those great supernatural powers even disdained to participate in the heavenly battle between the Lingxiao Palace and the North Pole Hall, but they were very interested in the bottle of Guanyin Bodhisattva.
At this moment, Guanyin Bodhisattva published a wide-ranging Dharma calligraphy, and it was scheduled to hold a Dharma meeting at Putuo Mountain on April 15th.
News of the Dharma Assembly immediately spread throughout the heavens, and at this moment, Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole suddenly announced a temporary cession. The war in the Heavenly Court came to an abrupt end because of this Dharma Assembly. The millions of heavenly soldiers who fought bloody also had a temporary rest opportunity because of this Dharma Assembly.
Everyone is waiting for April 15th.
On April 15th, on Putuo Mountain, some people rode colorful clouds and spiritual beasts one after another, and came to the foot of Putuo Mountain from all directions. In order to show their respect, they rode up the steps and respectfully sat down under the pure jade archery of Putuo Mountain, according to the pre-arranged cushions, waiting for the beginning of the Dharma Assembly.
In front of the jade yard, a lotus platform is blooming, and the pink lotus petals on the side of the platform are swaying gently in the wind, as if they are in the process of constantly opening.
A monk covered in black hair was arranging seats for the immortals coming from all directions. When the immortals saw him greeting him in person, they did not dare to sit down and greet him first.
The black-haired monk had no expression on his face, and had a slightly old golden hoop on his head. He asked everyone to sit down and walked back to the lotus platform.
By the lotus platform, the Muzha Walker was holding his hands together, his face calm. He had long seen these innocent people sitting under the pure jade hall, all of whom were ordinary immortals. They had real identities and magical powers, but they did not come at all.
The black-haired monk walked to him and said in a buzzing voice: "The Bodhisattva is very correct in the ground."
As he was talking, Muzha's eyes lit up and saw a red cloud floating in the distance. The red cloud slowly landed at the foot of Putuo Mountain. Two people walked down, one with a solemn face, holding the pagoda in his hand, and the other with a handsome face, with a long spear behind him, and the red silk was the belt.
The two walked past the immortals, and the immortals stood up and saluted: "I have met the Grand Marshal and the Great God of the Sea Society."
Muzha greeted him and smiled and said, "Father, brother."
Li Jing looked solemn and suddenly said, "Since the Bodhisattva has held a Dharma Assembly, our family is naturally coming to the ground, but..." He looked around and frowned and said, "It seems that the Bodhisattva has calculated a little wrong this time."
The Western Pure Land Dharma Assembly is still in full swing. Although no one outside the Buddha sect is invited, Guanyin Bodhisattva also held a Dharma Assembly at this time. In the eyes of others, it was like singing a stage play with Amitabha Buddha.
It is equivalent to saying that these two Dharma meetings are like announcements of strength in both aspects, and also like a statement from everyone in the heavenly realm.
Should we stand on the side of Amitabha Buddha or Guanyin Bodhisattva?
Originally, this was a struggle within the Buddha land, but over the past five hundred years, the Jade Emperor had a good relationship with the Western Pure Land, and Guanyin Bodhisattva has always been a great honorable person with great status in the heavenly court. Therefore, the two disturbed each other, which made the heavenly realm, regardless of the Buddha, a little rushing, and everyone was watching. Who would come to Putuo Mountain to attend the Dharma Assembly of Guanyin Bodhisattva?
As long as it comes, it is no different from expressing its opinion to the Western Pure Land.
The Li family is an important figure in the Heavenly Court, but after the Buddha left, Li Jing's eldest son was killed in the world with the destruction of Mount Sumeru. Therefore, his family had an unparalleled hatred with the Western Pure Land, so it was natural to join the camp of Guanyin Bodhisattva. However, the other powerful people had to think for a long time to see how this attitude should be expressed, how to avoid offending Guanyin Bodhisattva, and not make the Jade Emperor and Amitabha Buddha unhappy.
People and affairs are always the most complicated.
"The Bodhisattva had come to you." Muzha led his father and brother to a quiet place, and said with a smile: "Wait a little longer."
The master of the Three Altars Sea Meeting suddenly turned around, his eyes cold, and he stared at the lotus platform in front of Qingjing Yufang.
There was silence in Putuo Mountain, and everyone turned their attention to the lotus platform.
A bottle slowly rose on the lotus platform, which was the pure bottle that Guanyin Bodhisattva had always kept.
Nezha suddenly smiled and asked, "Today's Dharma Assembly, I'm afraid I'm just looking at this bottle."
