Chapter 54: The Orchard Debate
Chapter 54: Debate of Orchard
The philosopher Mr. Zhu cooks in the high-end kitchen of Mount Sumeru, which has been indifferent for a long time, and welcomes visitors who are rare in hundreds of years.
Yi Tianxing was walking alone on the top of the mountain to cover the grass. Since he had arrived in Mount Sumeru, he would soon see his master, so he was not as anxious as he was at the beginning.
Five hundred years is also a blink of an eye, so why care about the days of leisure?
I just missed my wife and children and the warm kang. The emotions of the middle-aged man now occupy Yi Tianxing's head. When he was alone, he stood on the black stone slab and was stunned for a while. Lei Lei's Xiucai eyes flashed in his eyes and the hateful appearance of Xiao Yi Zhu. He thought about Ye Xiangseng's increasingly handsome face, and smiled and thought, if he returned to the world, would this guy Ye Xiang have become a little baby, right?
After finishing homesickness, he frowned and carefully moved his spiritual sense into the black stone under his elbow.
The black stone is not pure black, there seem to be many strange blue lights flowing slowly inside, just like the eternal and unchanging starry night in the universe.
But beyond Yi Tianxing's expectations, when he transferred his spiritual consciousness into the black stone, he found that the strange black stone was empty after it. No matter how he manipulated his spiritual consciousness, he could not touch any real thing.
This black stone is like a door, and there is nothing behind it.
He touched his nose, and a trace of coldness flashed across the corners of his eyes. For some reason, he did not continue to try again. Instead, he took his hands and walked towards the back of the vast top of Mount Sumeru.
Walking among the weeds, he came to a forest without realizing it. There was wind in the forest, but the wind had no direction. It was just blowing softly from all directions. The trees in the forest swelled around, as if the elves were dancing.
A gust of wind was slightly stronger. A hard object blew down and landed in front of Yi Tianxing with a bang.
He looked closely and found that it was a ripe fruit that was almost rotten. He couldn't help but smile and said to himself: "You have helped Newton solve the problem. Are you going to help me solve the problem this time?"
As soon as he said that, he suddenly remembered that after returning from Tibet that year, he had a conversation with his ancestors in the back garden of Guiyuan Temple. He couldn't help but frown and looked around.
All the trees around are fruits.
It is red, green or yellow, round, flat or strange.
Countless fruits grow among the trees, showing their unique smiles, dragging the branches heavily into countless curved curves, as if they were saluting Yi Tian in the middle of the forest.
Yi Tianxing stretched out his hand. An invisible force broke through the air, and he bent down and picked a mixed wild fruit from the treetops. He rubbed it with his hands twice, sent it to his lips, and ate it.
With a whine, he almost fell over his teeth with sourness, spitted the flesh onto the ground, and cursed: "What a sour fruit."
His heart skipped a beat and remembered what the old monkey said.
"I gave the sour fruit to the Buddha, hehe."
Yi Tianxing's eyes were in a daze, his spiritual consciousness was uncertain, as if he could see the boring dialogue between the Buddha and the old monkey five hundred years ago in this already ruined orchard.
The forest shook gently, and a Buddha and a monkey sat opposite each other.
There were fruits scattered around the two of them, and several bottles of good wine stolen by the old monkey from the Heavenly Palace. The clear light on the top of Mount Sumeru was filled with light, and the two drank together and occasionally spoke.
"Wukong, what should I do after eating this fruit?"
The Buddha's treasure is merciful but blurry, and his facial features cannot be seen clearly, but only a faint quiet and elegant spirit emanates from the Buddha's body.
Although the old monkey was wearing a cassock, he still looked like a stubborn beast. His body was full of unfamiliar intentions. He grinned and said, "What do the Buddha think? After eating the fruit, he would throw away the fruit core."
The Buddha smiled slightly. He was not confused, but he still asked: "What should I do if the fruit core was thrown into the ground, and the fruit trees grew and the sour fruits were produced?"
The old monkey rolled up the hem of the cassock, sipped two sips of wine, and stuck out his tongue with a spicy tongue. After a while, he understood the Buddha's words and shouted blankly: "How come you are so wise, why are you more confused than my family? If you bear fruit, you will naturally eat it."
"What should I do after eating this fruit core?"
The Buddha's eyes were filled with endless compassion, and he said sympathy: "What should I do?"
The old monkey was stunned, subconsciously stretched out the back of his furry hand to look at the Buddha's forehead to see if he was confused. Half of his hand, he realized that this action was a bit rash. He smiled and withdrew his hand, pulled the corner of the robe to wipe the wine saliva around his mouth twice, and sneered: "Don't be too confused, how can you just say all these nonsense?"
The Buddha was not angry or sighing, but just asked with a smile: "There must be an end. The fruit pits produce trees, the trees produce sour fruits, and the fruits retain the fruit pits, and the fruits are endless. How can we make the situation?"
Silenced for a long time.
This philosophical problem finally stirs up the violent emotions that the old monkey has suppressed for a long time. Naturally, the monkey is not good at playing any maneuvers. He feels a little uncomfortable on his face and shouts sharply: "Since that's the case, I'm going to crush you and want to be a big deal."
With a light clatter, the dark brown fruit core on the old monkey's hand was easily pinched into countless pieces by two iron fingers. The sound was rustling and scattered on the ground in the forest.
The Buddha smiled again, put his hands together, bowed to the old monkey, chanted a scripture softly, and stood up and left.
Leave two monkeys in the orchard in vain, and they are filled with suffocation.
The light gradually changed, and Yi Tianxing suddenly woke up from the illusion in front of him, and countless cold sweats seemed to flow down his forehead.
When he touched it subconsciously, he realized that there was no drop of sweat on his forehead. This was related to his physical condition. From childhood to adulthood, he had never sweated, but he felt that he was sweating coldly in his sea of consciousness, which was enough to prove that he was panicked in his heart.
After reading this conversation in the orchard five hundred years ago, Yi Tianxing's heart was filled with fear and confusion. This fear and confusion came for no reason, and even he himself didn't understand why.
He could understand the scripture that the Buddha said at the end of his conversation with the old monkey.
Although the scripture seemed to be Sanskrit or some ancient language, as soon as it entered Yi Tianxing's ears, he immediately understood the meaning of this sentence.
Because this sentence means too much to him and has been with him for too long. As early as in the summer pond in 1994, when he first realized the nature of the Tao, he once saw this sentence floating in front of his eyes in the form of golden characters all over the sky.
At that time, he didn't understand what these Sanskrit words mean, but it was from that day that he gradually woke up and transformed from a hard-bodied human teenager to a genius who practiced Buddhism without hindrance.
This sentence is the first turning point in his life.
"When you exhale and enter the breath, you should observe the impermanence of the state of impermanence. The method of breath is born in sequence, and the development and transformation are more related, and even the conjunctions are combined, and there is no pause when the arise..."
Yi Tianxing frowned. He sat cross-legged on the loess in the orchard, and his whole body was trembling. He didn't know what he was afraid of, so he had to use the method of meditation and contemplation in the Zen sutra to protect his mind. Only then could he reduce his depression.
The last sentence Yi Tianxing said when he saw the Buddha for the second time was on Wudang Mountain. At that time, Zhenwu was under pressure and there was a heavenly fire outside. He was in a coma. Before he was in a coma, he first listened to Mr. Wu Chengen's jokes and knew that it was a sign that his cultivation level was about to increase greatly. But in a coma, he was watching the Sanskrit scriptures casually.
But until then, he still didn't know what this sentence meant.
Until his cultivation level is achieved in the future, he will finally break through the air. In the small valley behind six places, facing the great lamas in Qin Linchuan and the Tashilunpo Monastery, he was about to take that step, a step where the gods and people are separated.
Countless birds flew out of the valley, and formed a row of strange characters on the high sky.
Yi Tianxing wandered outside his body and finally achieved great success. He finally understood the meaning of these words, which were the meanings of the Sanskrit words that he saw in the small pond.
Four simple words.
"All life is suffering."
The Buddha and the old monkey finally said the "debate of fruit core" and these four words.
"All life is suffering."
Yi Tianxing sat cross-legged in the orchard behind Mount Sumeru, moaning, "Life is hard." He recalled many pasts in his life in his mind, and then he understood why he was so indifferent to killing people in the small valley behind the six places, and regarded his life as nothing.
Inspired by these four-character mantras, he and Xiao Yizhu thought that erasing a trace of life was to relieve each other, not violence.
Very ridiculous, very damn logic.
But I don’t know what the Buddha said about these four words mean.
"It's boring to think about it."
At the mouth of the orchard, under a fruit tree, Master Wuneng was gnawing an old corn cob while saying vaguely: "Buddha, great Bodhisattva, these people who practice to the extreme are the most boring. They don't explain anything to you. If you always think about what they have said, you will be confused."
Yi Tianxing forced a smile, got up from the ground, walked to him, bowed and said, "Uncle Master teaches me."
Wuneng touched his round belly and said sarcastically: "What are you teaching you? There is nothing wrong in the world, and people are disturbing him. If you don't care about my senior brother getting out of trouble, you don't care about Wenju's life or death, you are afraid you will still live happily in the world. Now this situation is your own choice, so naturally you will have to worry about yourself, so what does it have to do with me?"
Yi Tianxing smiled bitterly and said, "Let's ignore these for now. But if we want to take Master to the world, we are afraid that the Pure Land will not do anything. When we fight, we will also need the help of Master."
"Follower." Wuneng sneered, stretched out a round finger and shook it: "It was Guanyin Bodhisattva who threw you down, and she lured you up. Of course there was something she wanted you to do. You didn't even see her face. How could you know what to do? Since she wanted to use you, she would naturally not watch you be shot into the underworld. With her, who would you be afraid of?"
Yi Tianxing was stunned and thought to himself, why did this second uncle look like a traitor and sloppy military advisor?
"Just go with the flow." Wuneng seemed to see the doubts in his heart, and sighed like an old philosopher: "In life, there must be a living head. I just wanted to feel more comfortable and greedy, so I suffered a lot a thousand years ago. When I was seeking the scriptures, the Bodhisattva asked me to protect me, and I would protect me. Since others use you, they will always give you some benefits, but as for how much effort we put in, that's another thing."
He paused and couldn't help but grin and said, "I'm not a sincere person like my senior brother. On the way to obtain the scriptures, I actually fought with those monsters, and I don't look at who is behind those monsters. As the saying goes, hitting a dog and looking at the owner. He beats so many dogs, and I don't know how many immortals he offended the heavenly world."
"Of course, he is better than me, so he is not afraid of offending people. I can't do it." Wuneng said again: "So it's possible to do something like working or not working. Anyway, I've seen through this matter, and it won't be our turn to get the benefits in the end. It's just a bunch of messy things that the Buddha has done without any trouble."
Yi Tianxing smiled bitterly and said, "If I had the same mind as the second uncle, then I would be happy."
Wuneng laughed and stretched out his big hand like a palm fan, touched Yi Tianxing's head with love twice: "You kid are different from me, both Buddhist and Taoist families compete for you, you are similar to my senior brother. It seems that you will be a very powerful person in the future. At that time, you will have to give your uncle some benefits."
Yi Tian was suffocating and said after a while: "That's that's it, the family doesn't speak two families."
Wuneng suddenly lowered his voice and said, "Even if the Bodhisattva promises you great benefits in the future, don't try too hard." He turned his head and looked around, and said carefully, "You must know that your master, the monkey, is born a genius, and is brave and fierce, and never convinces others. But in the end of the journey to obtain the scriptures, it is not like your uncle, I. After seeing through it, I can't do my work anymore, and I start to work hard."
"That's right." Yi Tianxing also came to Tan Xing and cursed: "At the end, he actually formed a lion, a roc and an elephant as a roadblock. This Buddha is too cruel."
Wuneng looked at him and sneered, "What kind of lion is not a lion? It's not a matter of great Bodhisattvas like Manjushri Samantabhadra."
Yi Tianxing laughed and thought to himself that the old monkey was locked up in Guiyuan Temple, but it seemed that he had no hatred for Ye Xiang, and he didn't know what was going on.
Wuneng recalled the past and sighed: "Actually, on the way to obtain the scriptures, no monster could do anything to the senior brother. He also understood that no monster dared to eat the master at all, so he was always lazy later. When he encountered something, he flew back to the sky to find the monster master. By the way, he could also enjoy two days of paid vacations. He was happy... Only when he met Peng'er, the senior brother had the intention to fight and fought for a long time."
Yi Tianxing's heart skipped a beat: "Then... Peng'er is very powerful?"
Wuneng gave him a blank look and hummed, "The first time the Buddhist and Taoist families competed against was the thief bird. Do you think it's powerful?"
"What does it mean?"
"Suhu Bi, have you heard of it?"
Yi Tianxing's face turned pale and his back formation was blue. After a while, his motherly nature was full of pride and glossed on his face, and he said, "It's not just heard of it."
