2289 Visiting Uncle(2/2)

The uncle waved his hand after hearing this, and obviously noticed the steamed buns on the table, but his expression was casual and indifferent.

Yang Xiaotao didn't say anything and walked aside.

When the coal in the stove went out, Yang Xiaotao took off his gloves and coat and stepped forward to pick up the stove.

"You, just sit here, I'll come, I'll come."

When her aunt saw Yang Xiaotao cleaning up the stove, she quickly stepped forward to stop him, but Yang Xiaotao didn't care. "Auntie, you may not know that I designed this heating stove."

"I think your heater and radiator are products from the period of our steel rolling mill. They should be three or four years old."

Yang Xiaotao smiled, and her aunt was a little surprised when she heard it, "You designed this."

"This is a good thing. Over the past two years, the house has been much warmer than the previous stove. Many people around here use this stove."

"Hmm, this is made in our factory, didn't uncle tell you?"

"He, all he talked to me about was the people and the country. How could he tell me about this?"

The aunt smiled, and the uncle beside him sat on a chair and picked up a thermos bottle to make tea. He shook his head after hearing this.

Yang Xiaotao knew it after seeing it. He probably said that his aunt didn't remember it, but it didn't matter. He would come here often in the future and he would be familiar with it.

After taking out the coal ash, Yang Xiaotao poured it down under the old elm tree. When he came, he saw coal ash there.

When Yang Xiaotao walked into the house, his aunt took two pieces of briquettes from outside, but Yang Xiaotao took a look and saw that there were not many coal piles.

No wonder there's no stove on in this cold weather.

Yang Xiaotao put the briquettes in and started the fire.

"Auntie, this stove is quite old. Is it a little clogged when burning? It just doesn't ignite easily."

Auntie nodded immediately, "Yes, it's a bit clogged when it burns."

"That's right, there should be too much ash in the chimney and it's blocked."

"This needs to be cleaned regularly, and the radiator needs to be inspected and replaced."

"It's okay. Our machinery factory has regular maintenance personnel. I'll ask them to help you with it tomorrow."

"No, no, no need to bother."

The aunt glanced at the uncle and quickly declined.

"It's okay, this is just after-sales service."

"Besides, if you have a problem, it means there is a problem with our products, which will have a great impact on the reputation of our factory, so this matter is not just your family's business."

The aunt was so dizzy by Yang Xiaotao's words that she could only look at her husband and see him nodding lightly, and then she agreed.

"Okay, it's done."

Yang Xiaotao covered the stove, and his aunt took him to the basin nearby. Yang Xiaotao finished washing his hands.

"Auntie, are you the only one in the family?"

The aunt nodded, "The children are either working or going to school, so they are busy. There are only two of us at home, and there is nothing much to do. We are both quiet."

Yang Xiaotao nodded and didn't ask any more questions.

Back in the living room, the uncle had already made tea, and Yang Xiaotao was sitting opposite.

Only then did Yang Xiaotao pay attention to his surroundings.

There is an old-fashioned writing desk near the window, and many newspapers are placed in a conspicuous place.

There is a photo frame near the window, and inside it is a family portrait.

There is a row of old-fashioned bookshelves against the wall, containing many books, some in Chinese and many from the Alliance.

"Why do you have time to come to my place?"

The uncle poured tea for Yang Xiaotao and asked casually.

"Isn't this New Year's Day? Come and see you two."

Yang Xiaotao said casually, and then took out a box of red pandas from his pocket.

The uncle looked at it but subconsciously looked at the aunt beside him.

Seeing this, Yang Xiaotao didn't know what was going on, so he didn't know whether to take back his outstretched hand, and then looked at his aunt with some embarrassment.

"You guys chat, I'll go pack my things."

Auntie got up straight away and walked out.

"Well, let's drink the Fenjiu that Bo Xian sent last time."

"I know, I know."

The aunt's joyful voice came, and the uncle immediately turned around and picked up the cigarette on the table.

Yang Xiaotao took out a lighter from his pocket and lit it, then took a big sip.

"During this period, we are under strict control, one pack of cigarettes a week."

The uncle said happily, and then took another careful sip.

"One box a week? Then today is not Monday..."

"Ahem, I was so happy last week that I smoked two boxes. This week's share is gone."

When Yang Xiaotao heard this, he immediately laughed.

The uncle also patted his thigh helplessly.

Yang Xiaotao smiled and took out an unopened box of Qunying from his clothes. Finally, he took out the unopened red peonies from his coat pocket and put them all on the table.

"I smoked this with my comrades. I don't know if it suits your taste."

When the old man saw it, he immediately whispered, "It's okay, as long as it's a cigarette."

As he said this, he put away the cigarette and put it behind the bookshelf.

"I will bring more boxes of red pandas next time I come."

But the uncle waved his hand, "No, no, just one or two boxes."

"If there are too many, the secret will be exposed easily."

Yang Xiaotao laughed again, "Okay, then I'll come often."

The uncle shook his head again after hearing this, but didn't say anything.

Yang Xiaotao naturally knew his uncle's worries, but this was not a problem for him.

What's the icing on the cake compared to providing help when it's time?
