The establishment of the US infantry division after 1943 to the end of World War II

2) 3 infantry regiments: Each infantry regiment includes 3 infantry battalions, 1 regiment headquarters company (with 6 106mm mortars), 1 service company and 1 anti-tank company (12 57mm anti-tank guns, 5 machine guns); each infantry battalion includes 3 infantry companies, 1 firearm company and 1 battalion company; the battalion company is equipped with 3 anti-tank guns, 4 machine guns, and 8 battalion launchers; the firearm company has 162 officers and soldiers, equipped with 6 81mm mortars, 11 heavy machine guns, and 7 battalion launchers; the infantry company includes 3 infantry platoons and 1 weapon platoon; the weapon platoon has 3 60mm mortars, 3 machine guns, and 3 battalion launchers; the infantry platoon includes 3 12-person squads (1 rifle or automatic rifle per person).

3) Artillery under the division: includes 3 105mm howitzer battalions, 1 155mm howitzer battalions, 1 headquarters company and 1 artillery service company, equipped with 12 155mm howitzers and 36 105mm howitzers.

4) 1 mechanized reconnaissance team.

5) The division's engineering soldiers, communication soldiers, supply soldiers, medical soldiers, military police and other teams.

Generally, each infantry division is also equipped with a tank battalion, an air defense battalion and other troops. The total number of officers and soldiers is more than 15,000, and the total weapon and equipment is: 70 howitzers, 145 mortars, 93 anti-tank guns, 663 rocket launchers, 950 machine guns, 76 tanks, 49 armored vehicles, and 1,560 other vehicles.
