Dazhuangyan Temple is located in the southwest corner of Chang'an City. The temple is large in scale, occupying the eastern half of Yongyangfang. In the third year of Daye in the Sui Dynasty (607), Emperor Yang established a temple for Emperor Wen, called Da Chanding Temple, which occupied the western half of Yongyangfang and the later Hepingfang. The scale and system of the temple were exactly the same as the Zending Temple in the east, and there was also a wooden futu with its height.
