Chapter 6 Differences

Home is left behind, and the world is in front of you.

The beautiful Middle Earth scenery is dazzling.

For ordinary people, the journey on horseback all day is not beautiful or cruel, but for Xia Ya, the bumps on horseback have no effect at all, and he is enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.

Through the woods and across the river, the team arrived at the halfway up the mountain when the night fell.

Here you can overlook the large mountain and river at the foot of the mountain, and you can see the purest stars and moon at night. Everyone decided to rest here.

After a simple dinner, the tired dwarves lay on the stones and under the trees, leaning against each other to fall asleep.

Although Chara is not too sleepy, there is really nothing to do here and she falls asleep quickly.

It was almost midnight, and a strange sound woke everyone who was asleep.

Bilbo, who was communicating with his pony, noticed the unusual voice and asked the dwarf of Shiya, "What is that?"

"Orc!" Qili heard a sound, and seemed to determine the other party's identity and quickly gave an answer.

"Orc?" Bilbo quickly ran into the crowd.

Feili, who was smoking, spoke up and said, "There are at least dozens of throat cutters, and the fields are everywhere. When everyone is asleep in the middle of the night, it is fast and accurate, silent, leaving only blood!"

The previous one is quite explanation, while the latter one is purely to scare Bilbo.

Bilbo was indeed frightened and looked in the direction where the sound came with some concern.

Both Kili and Fili chuckled softly.

"Is it funny?" Solin asked coldly.

He stood up and taught a lesson with a cold face: "Do you think the night attack of the orcs is a joke?"

Facing Thorin's gaze, the two of them immediately restrained their smiles and lowered their heads to admit their mistakes, "We don't have that intention."

"Yes, you know nothing about the world!" Thorin snorted coldly, walked outside the camp, and looked at the vast night.

"Don't mind, little brother." Bahrain walked to Bilbo and explained to him Thorin's hatred for the orcs.

It turned out that after Smaug occupied Gushan, the dwarves planned to regain the dwarves kingdom Moria, but the orcs were one step ahead of them.

The dwarf fought with the orcs. Thorin's grandfather died in battle and his father disappeared. Thorin defeated the orc Asog with oak as the shield and led the dwarfs to victory.

Therefore, Thorin became so sensitive that he would get angry when he saw them disdainful of the orcs.

Because in Thorin's heart, the orcs are eternal enemies and should not be despised. If they encounter them, they will be killed.

"How did that pale orc end up?" Bilbo was curious about the result.

Thorin walked back and said coldly, "He went back to his dirty cave and had already died of serious injuries."

Xia Ya felt it was necessary to remind him, so she spoke, "Really, I think breaking a hand is not a fatal injury."

"He has not appeared in Middle-earth for sixty years. The orcs have long been declining, and the destructionist Asog has long died." Thorin said heavily.

"Maybe they are just resting and waiting for a chance to make a comeback. After all, the orcs suffered heavy losses in that battle."

"No, they will never have another chance." Thorin said loudly, staring at his eyes.

After looking at Thorin for half a minute, Chara confirmed that the dwarves are indeed a stubborn race and it is difficult to communicate effectively.

Thorin fell asleep again, and Gandalf came to Shaya, "Mr. Shaya, do you think the orcs will stop Thorin from going to the Lone Mountain?"

"I just think it's unlikely to die from a severe injury because of a broken arm." Shaya shrugged, not intending to discuss too much on this topic.

Because Thorin could not convince, and Gandalf had such a reminder, it was enough.

Gandalf felt that Chara had no communication, took a few sips of cigarettes and returned to his position.

All night, the orc attack did not come.

The next day they continued to set off, and after a long journey, they finally arrived at the edge of the elves.

Xia Ya looked at the map and felt a little excited.

The legendary elves are all handsome men and beautiful women, and he finally saw them last time.

But Solin ordered camping and quickly flew to match the affairs that everyone should be responsible for.

Gandalf walked up to the front, walked around a dilapidated house, and said to Thorin, "I think I can move on, I can move on to the valley."

Thorin refused, "I told you that I won't get close to that place!"

He set up camp here, thinking about bypassing the elves tomorrow and not having any contact with the elves.

"Why not? The elves will help us, we can get food and advice." Gandalf tried to convince Thorin.

Solin firmly refused, "We don't need their advice!"

Gandalf throws out the second bargaining chip, "King Ailon can help us interpret that map!"

But the stubborn dwarf prince was not easily impressed. He emphasized the elves' cold eyes when the dragons and orcs destroyed the dwarf kingdom, believing that the elves' behavior was a betrayal of the dwarf.

"Thorin, I agree with Gandalf's point of view. It is the orcs that destroy the dwarf kingdom, and the elves are not your enemies."

Xia Ya spoke at the right time, "If no one can interpret the secret on the map, even if we reach Gushan, we will not be able to enter."

"We have a way. In this world, it is not only the elves who are wise." Thorin refused again, his attitude was like the snow and ice on the mountains, cold and firm.

"This map was made by our dwarfs!"

The implication is that dwarves can interpret maps by making maps without using the power of elves.

"What if it can't?" Xia Ya asked, "When we arrive and go through a lot of hardships to reach Gushan, but in the end no one can interpret the map, what should we do?"

"We'll have a way!"

Shaya was firm in her attitude and tried her best to persuade Thorin to go to the Elf's Valley.

Because he knew that with himself, things might not develop like in the movie, and Gandalf could also use tricks to bring him to the elves' territory.

If you don't go to the elves' territory, you will miss the opportunity to interpret the map. If you want to interpret it again, you have to wait another year. He doesn't want to spend a year just to interpret the map.

But Solin is really like a stone in a pit, smelly and hard, and he never agrees to find the elves no matter what.

Shaya and Gandalf were unable to persuade him to leave.

Gandalf was angry and left angrily.

Xia Ya didn't give up yet and wanted to vote to decide whether to go.

But before he finished speaking, all the dwarves expressed their support for Thorin, and only Bilbo stood there at a loss.

Thorin looked at him calmly, "The minority obeys the majority, you said it yourself!"
