Chapter 11 Anti-magic power field(1/4)
"You... are you from Deep Water City, or are you from Demon Sobrey?" Azara, a ranger who transformed from the eye demon, looked at Brian and the others in shock and angrily.
As soon as the words were finished, the clothes worn by the ranger ‘Azara’ and his five servants all fell off and hung in mid-air.
Their bodies were like a ball of villains pinched with mud, and were kneaded again by some terrible force, and rubbed into the shape of meatballs.
Immediately afterwards, an amazing change emerged.
These five creepy meat balls grow tentacles and eyes at a speed visible to the naked eye. These eyes are connected to the meat ball by the shank-like handles that are constantly dancing like snakes.
A big mouth full of sharp teeth was cracked below the ball. At the same time, a huge one-eye was slowly opened in the center of the ball, and excited and vicious flames were burning in it.
"Reckney no matter who you are, since you dare to break into Reckney's territory, let you become Reckney's loyal slaves." A satisfied moan echoed in the hall.
The Eye Demon Tyrant was suspended in the air, and the twelve eye stalks with eyes wriggled like caterpillars, spinning quickly and excitedly around his five Eye Demon men.
"If everything goes well, Rekney will control you through the will connected to your will, the mage of Deep Water." The Eye Demon Tyrant thirteen eyes locked on Brian with greed and said excitedly:
"Reckney will eventually reach the main material world, to the bustling human city of fertile and bustling. They are so stupid that they have not realized that they have been secretly controlled by Reckney. Deep water city, the city of glory, gold coins flowing in the rivers of the city. The residents here come from the mainland, or farther away. Each of them intends to make a fortune in this flowing wealth, and even desire more: the breath and taste of power that can be obtained by tricks or brute force..."
There is no doubt that this Eye Demon Tyrant mistakenly thought that Brian was a mage from Deep Water City.
The Eye Demon Tyrant fluttered and danced twelve eye handles, releasing powerful magic, and the fine particles of the magic flames spiraled with him.
Finally, the shining flames turned into a vortex of magical energy.
The vortex was emitting terrible energy, as if the space around it was distorted by this powerful energy.
The scene scared the civilians in Wisteria Valley rolled and crawled around for asylum.
They heard all kinds of terrifying cry from the windows, balcony, and corners, mixed with the trembling of the ground, the screams of rocks, and a smooth and shiny marble wall that poured down slowly and majesticly towards the struggling tavern owner.
"Boom!"
With a loud bang, the terrible energy condensed into a vortex suddenly exploded.
Brian and Santira felt at the same time that the space around them seemed to be shattered by the terrible explosion.
Immediately afterwards, the two of them turned dark and felt as if they had come to a huge cave with a quiet and open air, emitting a cold air.
"Brian, what's going on?" Santilla grabbed Brian's hand uneasily and asked with an ugly face.
"This is the supernatural ability that the Eye Demon masters, space folds and distorts reality." Brian signaled her not to worry, "Through this ability, he brought us to the Eye Demon's nest that overlaps the manor space."
"Don't act rashly." He reminded the Drow girl who was trying to advance in the darkness. "The nest of the eye demon is as terrifying as the lich's nest. At this moment, these eye demons are definitely waiting for us to slowly fall into their trap like predators."
He underestimated the strength of this Eye Demon Tyrant, and did not expect that this Eye Demon had mastered such powerful abilities as space folding.
This ability can overlap with the space of the seemingly harmless and safe manor. If you encounter an enemy, you will immediately activate the ability to distort reality and replace the space you are in with a battle place that is conducive to their performance.
"Do you want to keep going?"
Brian checked his status, constant protective magic and a series of triggering spells against the Eye Demon, as well as teleportation spells that instantly escaped, asking the Drow girl for her opinion.
After all, this is the nest of the Eye Demon Tyrant, and the degree of danger can be imagined. He does not want to force anyone to take risks with him.
"Why not keep going?"
The drow girl's blue eyes flashed with excitement and eagerness to try, and said indifferently, "In the dark area, I broke through the city of the inner-slayer, the nest of the two-headed dragon, and even sneaked into the palace of the Loka Fishman from the dark lake. What's the terrifying thing about an eye demon to me?"
"These adventures are all because of the book you gave me about the knowledge of teleporting spells." She held Brian's arm affectionately. Even in the darkness, the smile of the Drow girl still looked so sweet.
"Without this spell knowledge, I dare not wander around in the dark, nor dare to return to my room instantly before the female spider Isatabella discovered that I sneaked out of the Spider Academy."
Listening to her series of experiences, Brian smiled admiringly, knowing that the Drow girl in front of him was not lying.
He no longer delayed his time, and after casting several of his best protective spells for Santira, he began to lead her towards the depths of the cave.
Although Santira's main profession is a wizard, Brian, who had already figured out the other party's background, knew that this Drow girl whose timeline was forcibly changed by herself had changed from a specialized wizard to a ranger with outstanding archery skills.
Moreover, her spells are mainly from the shaping school. In terms of the words their players like to tease, it is: a ranger who will not use forbidden spells (legendary spells) is not a good wizard.
Because of the reincarnation of the gods, her strength has also improved by leaps and bounds to the legendary realm.
This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! In the darkness, Brian clearly felt many eyes staring at him and Santira. In the empty cave, there were low and harsh laughter that made people feel cold in blood from time to time.
In this humid and cold cave, although you can't see your five fingers, for the caster of Brian's level, this kind of pediatric thing is simply not difficult for him.
Even Santira, who claimed to be experienced in adventure and was very sensitive to various traps and magic, was amazed when he saw him using exquisite spells, dealing with them carefully or circumventing all kinds of terrible dangers, and put away his desire to show off and followed him obediently.
He walked along the winding tunnel with Santila, and soon discovered an unusual passage that began with an arch, and in the middle of the top of the arch was a stone statue of a water fairy leaning forward and smiling.
Although this statue does not have the dreamy and deadly beauty unique to the real creatures it represents, it also has amazing charm, and the story about it seems to have been circulating for many years.
Brian judged from the stunning charm that vaguely exuded from the statue that it represents a certain goddess, perhaps Shuni, the goddess of love with flame-like hair.
In addition to its lifelike beauty, this statue must have hidden more secrets.
Because anyone who wanted to remove it was dead, torn to pieces, scattered in the small hall in front of the arch.
The blood-stained chisel that one of them accidentally left was left there as a silent warning to those enthusiasts who wanted to break into the hall in the future.
At this moment, Brian naturally had no interest in this statue. He had already discovered through detection magic that this statue not only constant charm spells, but also a terrible trap.
Any adventurer who cannot withstand temptation tries to take the statue will die in a trap.
He led Santila to carefully avoid the magic trap arranged around the arch that was enough to kill the two of them, and came to an ordinary tunnel with bare walls.
As they walked with caution, the passage quickly narrowed and dropped rapidly, turning into a rough tunnel carved out of the cold and wet rocks.
In some parts of the passage, endless whispers permeated: it seemed to be the remnants of loud speeches, distant, non-existent, but not in silence or completely disappear... Even the most meticulous listener could not recognize or understand this tone.
Brian could feel that these sounds were all magic that affected his mind. If the adventurer with low strength did not succeed in saving throws, he would be guided into various traps without knowing it.
This trick is of course of useless to both of them.
The intriguing Santila continued to follow Brian forward, and in the deeper passage, they were greeted by the skeletons left by their predecessors, as well as some even larger skeletons of snake creatures, and even some places with hidden magic traps.
Brian also saw pale bones still hanging from sharp, ancient and black stumps at the ends, entangled with spider webs in a few deadly nail-board traps.
Many years have passed since the last time they fell and pierced the unfortunate creatures like sharp teeth. What remains are the tangled bones and tendons of the victims, hanging quietly there, and the blood of life has long been exhausted.
It can be seen that few adventurers can go so far in the Eye Demon's nest.
Because they often have to walk for a long time before they can find a broken bone on the ground or in an inconspicuous corner that is broken and forgotten here.
Obviously, any intruder cannot avoid sacrificing himself to discover new traps after passing through this area where the traps are everywhere.
Brian and Santira were still in the many magic traps that hindered their steps, and saw the endless stare of a skeleton taller than most humans.
The giant's head hangs down and stares down at the passage, and its empty eye sockets are flashing with strange light from the fluorescent worms that live in it.
Their slow squirming subtle fluorescence revealed the secret of the giant's death: in the dark passage not far away, a huge rock was hanging almost the size of the head that was chopped down, and the steel spikes attached to it were almost the same length as the height of most humans, and the cold light flashed.
The thick and wide swing chain and the belt surrounding the boulders tied to the boulder look extremely firm with the blessing of magical energy.
The hanging stone covered with long thorns was like an eye demon, almost blocking the entire passage, and it swayed slightly from time to time with the distant tremor and the breeze underground.
"Be careful, Brian." Santila held Brian's hand nervously, frowned with a beautiful brow, and whispered to him, "This is a giant mixed with magic circles and magic traps. If you are not careful, it will even trigger some kind of terrible earthquake, burying us here and completely sealing the truth that leads to the depths of the nest."
"I know." Brian nodded slightly, indicating that he had discovered this problem.
As Santira said, he also felt the trickyness of the trap and magic circle. Once triggered, it would not be said to cause an earthquake. It is very likely that the eye demons hiding in the dark will catch an opportunity and attack them.
He looked at the giant's head and the huge trap blocking the road, stopped and pondered for a moment, his expression moved, calmly using the advanced eradication of magic and the holy water he carried with him, allowing the giant's fluorescent head to turn into ashes in the rising smoke.
"That's amazing!"
Seeing that the trap was simply broken, Santira couldn't help but exclaim: "Just one advanced magic and holy water to solve it. Brian, how did you think of it? I just watched it for so long and haven't developed such a simple solution."
This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content behind! "Intuition." A faint smile appeared on the corner of Brian's mouth.
He was telling the truth, he really relied on his intuition.
This is not to say how powerful his intuition is, but because he has seen similar traps in the Earth Vein Maze of Deep Water City, so after he carefully studied it, he began to try to break the formation.
Who would have thought that he would have easily cracked it?
Then, he led Santira, whose little eyes were full of worship, to avoid this huge group of traps and go deep into the Eye Demon's Nest to spy on more dangers.
They soon came to a small hall, and its rough passage dome was penetrated by a thin belt composed of fluorescent stones. They penetrated a faint ruby-like light day and night, reflecting an ancient but seemingly comfortable armchair below, and several footstools beside it.
Brian saw the furniture being placed next to a side table in the alcove, where several ancient yellowed books were placed randomly on the table - mostly recording various terrible adventure stories, and a small number of such as the "energetic mage" - and a long strip of bookmarks decorated with human hair.
"Don't touch anything here." Brian looked at the inexplicable scene around him and subconsciously said to Santira, who was so scared that he quickly retracted his hand.
"This seems to be the end of the Eye Demon's Nest. Generally speaking, the lucky adventurer will mistakenly think that he has come to the end of the ruins and obtains his own spoils, and even keep wondering how it appears here and who is using it. If the adventurer is not lucky enough, or greedy and recklessly destroys anything here, his fate is likely to activate endless spells."
Brian glanced at the faint ruby-like light emitted from the ceiling.
His intuition told himself that if he dared to touch any item here, these ruby-like things would be activated instantly, emitting a lot of energy similar to the eye demon rays, drowning him and the others in it.
There is no doubt that this is a scene that makes him slightly familiar.
Without any hesitation, he took Santila cautiously and carefully to continue moving towards the secret passage.
As the two people's vision gradually expanded in the tunnel, they saw many human bones floating and hovering for a long time, as if waiting to loot and tear apart the next living creature.
They waited patiently, and once the invaders stepped into this territory, they became anxious and turbulent.
It is easy for Brian and Santira to deal with these skeletons. They cleaned them up with a few simple range spells.
At the same time, Brian also realized that they had arrived at the end of the nest and was about to see the Eye Demon Tyrant hidden in the deepest part.
These skeletons that were bombarded by them not only tried to use the human sea tactic to consume the adventurer's physical strength, but also served as a warning to the owner of the nest.
To be continued...
