Chapter 7 The Fallen Ranger
The name of this book is "The Wonderful Legend of Wisteria Valley".
Wrapped in green leather, carefully burnt leaves and vines are placed in the cover corners on the front and back.
The title of the book on the front of the cover is treated as a golden relief, but there is no author's signature on the outside or inside the book.
This book is six inches wide, nine inches high and one inches thick.
The thick cream-colored book pages emit a faint fragrance of flowers and plants, and the handwriting is neat and steady, and each line is written in skillful calligraphy.
Although the design of this book is simple, the quality of workmanship and materials are top notch.
There is no doubt that this is a magic item.
After reading the contents of the book, Brian learned about it.
The Wisteria Valley in the magical semi-plane is actually the name of a village.
It was originally located along the Taisha River in the north of the Komanso Forest of the Material World, which is west of Santir Fort, the headquarters of the Santallin Society, and was destroyed more than ten years ago.
Dov Hawk Hand, the elector of the Magic Goddess, and her only son, Azara was fostered in Wisteria Valley since she was a child and spent a complete childhood carefree life.
The book tells that Azara is a boy who likes to tell stories. He inherits the blood of his Ranger's parents and gives him an excellent talent for hunting.
Azara helped her adoptive parents on the farm during the day and performed in the tavern at night, making all the villagers happy.
When Azara was about to become an adult, a lord from Santir Castle, the cruel Rasmore, came to the Wisteria Valley and asked the villagers for drinks, food, and a place where he and his entourage could be placed.
Because the lord did not like the hospitality attitude of the villagers of Wisteria Valley, he burned the village and carried out a tragic massacre.
However, Lord Rasmore only let Azara live as a witness to the massacre of the villagers.
But before that, the cruel lord used a crystal dagger to cut Azara's face.
This incident changed Azara forever, and he vowed to overthrow this ruthless lord and would not let him hurt anyone anymore.
Azara used her ranger talent to follow Lord Rasmore's footsteps and came to a busy city called Taysway.
The young ranger didn't know how to continue, so he began to inquire about the city.
A wizard finds him and tells him that she comes from a secret organization that wants to bring down Lord Rasmore and other evil-destroying people.
The wizard invited Azara to join the secret organization, and he agreed and became a member of the Harpists Alliance.
With the help of the Harpists Alliance, Azara disguised herself as a performer and sneaked into the estate of Lord Rasmore at a banquet, exiling Rasmore once and for all.
Although he had completed his revenge, Azara still believed in the fact that there were many other evil-corrupted people on this land, and only people like him and the Harpist Alliance could stop them.
As time passed, Azara, who inherited her parents' ranger's talent, gradually became stronger, and used his magical skills and spy talents to single-handedly take down many corrupt lords and evil mages within the Santalin Society's domination.
Although Azara is a legendary character both inside and outside the Harpist Alliance organization, he remains humble to protect others as his duty.
Any accident happened.
Azara is fighting a great wizard who is devastated by the ancient crystal touched by the evil god Cirick in Santir Castle.
Although Azara killed the evil great wizard, his long-term contact with the crystal actually corrupted the ranger who had reached the legendary realm, making him think that his previous allies were too powerful and must be destroyed.
Before finding a cure, the Harpist Alliance came up with a solution to prevent Azara from harming others, which was to exile him to a magical semi-plane.
Wisteria Valley is a half-plane created by the elf wizard Slinxi.
There is only one purpose of putting Azara in the semi-plane: imprison him here before they develop a way to cure his decay.
Everything described in the books on Wisteria Valley is bright and colorful, tailored to make Azara feel comfortable and happy.
The weather here is always clear and warm, with plenty of rain to cultivate crops.
Wisteria flowers always bloom among the green leaves, and the air is filled with the soothing sounds of nature, from the chirping of birds to the chirping of crickets, to the breeze blowing the leaves.
The story of the book ends with a short monologue of the wizard of the Harpist Alliance, who met Azara many years ago, saying that although Azara's final fate is still unknown, one day, the Light will drive away the darkness.
In order to reverse the fall caused by corruption, his parents asked the Harpists Alliance to create a dagger injected with several purifying magic.
This magical dagger is carved from a piece of amethyst, with leather wrapped around the hilt, and tiny runes inlaid on the plane of the blade.
When the light hits the dagger, the blade of the dagger seems to emit light from the inside out.
This dagger looks very much like the one that left a scar on Azara when she was a child.
To activate the magic inside the dagger, the weapon must pierce the flesh and blood of a specific target. After the purifying magic is released, the dagger will lose its magical properties.
Unfortunately, before the plan was implemented, Azara's parents died in a sneak attack in the ghost princes ambushed in the mist valley.
The magic dagger fell into the hands of the storm and was eventually handed over to Brian.
The purpose of Brian's magical half-plane "Wirantia Valley" was to find Azara, and stab the magic dagger in his hand into his body, purifying the soul of the legendary ranger.
In this way, after the reformed ranger Azara returns to the material world, he can call back his mother's soul wandering in the mist valley through his perception.
Therefore, Brian can use the silver fire energy of Dov and Storm to complete the fusion of the Ao Energy Source and Ao Fire and enter the legendary realm.
After sorting out the clues of this mission, Brian studied the book while patiently waiting for the arrival of Santira, a girl from the Drow.
In fact, he originally intended to go alone, but the harpist leader claimed that this magical semi-plane was very special and once in, the only way to leave the semi-plane was to destroy it by healing or killing Azara.
Besides, a group of eye demon tyrants broke into it.
So, to prevent accidents from happening, let Santila follow him.
About ten minutes later, the beautiful figure of the Zoer girl appeared in the room.
As usual, Santila sports travel boots, dressed in Drow's popular skinny leather pants and silk tops, as well as a fine chain armor vest and a elves cloak draped over her body.
Of course, the most eye-catching thing is her unrestrained, wild and thick gray hair, and her azure blue eyes that are full of aura.
"Bryan, where are we going?" Santila came to him happily, lay on the table, and asked curiously.
"Go to a half plane." Brian did not look up and carefully studied the contents of the book.
This book was obtained by Storm from Dove. She didn't know how to open the semi-plane, but only knew that the method of opening was hidden in the content of the book.
In this case, he had to study it himself.
"Half-plane, I haven't been to a place outside the material world yet." Santila's eyes lit up, she stretched her neck to the book, and said with anticipation, "That must be fun."
"We're going to save people, not to play," Brian said, looking up at her.
"You can also save people and play at the same time." The girl Drow said indifferently.
"It's all the time to play, but little princess, you have to know that saving people is a very serious matter."
Brian emphasized in a slightly serious tone: "And whether the rescue will be successful this time is related to whether we can defeat the Ghost City. So, I don't want you to regard this adventure as a flashback."
He said something justified. If he succeeded in saving people, not only would there be one more ranger in their camp who had reached the legendary realm, but he could even advance himself.
Invisibly, two legendary pros directly appeared.
"Don't call me a little princess, I've long been separated from the city of the ancient Orence and the family." Santila stared at Brian and said in a dissatisfied tone, "I won't go back after finally leaving the dark area."
"But don't worry, Brian, I will protect you." Then she straightened up and patted her full chest with confidence, assured him.
Brian ignored her and continued to search for clues in the book.
"Oh, by the way, Brian." Santila's little hands were bored around her hair hanging on her chest, as if she had remembered something, and then started chatting with him, "Do you remember the stories you told me when we were in the dark? It sounds very interesting. Tell me a few more."
"Miss, haven't you seen that I'm busy?" Brian raised his head and looked at her in anger.
When he saw the cute look of the girl who was so aggrieved that she was about to cry, he knew that the other party was pretending on purpose, but his heart still softened, and then he quickly smiled and said to her, "Let's talk about it when I find a way to enter the semi-plane."
"You haven't found a way yet. Do you need my help?" Santila made a face at him and smiled and leaned over to her side. Her thick white hair fell down, blocking his vision.
Brian reached out and pushed away the hair that was lingering in the girl Youxiang, and finally found a strange word in the content of the book: We hold up the light, the secrets are gone, and the darkness will be expelled forever.
Santila also noticed this sentence, her eyes lit up and immediately said to Brian, "This is a puzzle that requires a literal explanation of the motto. The harpists in Shadow Valley like this kind of divine thing. I have seen it many times with Teacher Storm."
She snatched the book in Brian's hand and said, "The meaning of this sentence is to hold up this book, face the light, and let the darkness disappear."
After saying that, the girl Zoer came to the window with her books and met the bright sunshine.
Brian got up and walked over, looking at Santira's actions curiously.
In fact, when he saw this sentence, he thought about it for a moment.
As the sun shines on the pages, Brian immediately sees a phrase written in magical ink that emerges at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"The Harpist Alliance is with the Light!" Santila reads the words emerging to the books in the sun.
When she said this, the books trembled into the air, the pages flipped automatically, separated from the binding, and then rearranged to form an oval magic portal.
"Brian, have you seen it? The answer is solved." Santila walked up to Brian and said happily.
Brian smiled and rubbed the girl's thick white hair, and stepped into a portal made of pages with her.
After the two passed the portal, the pages were automatically arranged in their original form, and returned to a book and appeared in Brian's hands.
When Brian opened his eyes, he found himself in a deserted and dilapidated world. The gap between him and his imagination, "wisteria flowers always bloom in the green leaves, and the air is filled with the soothing sound of nature. From the chirping of birds to the chirping of crickets, to the breeze blowing the leaves," the gap is not an ordinary big deal.
"Where are we going now?" asked Santira on a desolate gravel path.
Suddenly, thunder clouds rolled in the dark sky, and the surrounding space suddenly became pitch black, and silent lightning continued to flash in the clouds, as if a heavy rain was brewing.
In the blink of an eye, the sky returned to clear, and nearby objects suddenly lost their color and turned into a single gray and dull color.
This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Feeling strange phenomena happening one after another in the space and the weather, Brian knew that this magical semi-plane was likely to be ruined by the Eye Demon Tyrant.
He looked around thoughtfully and said to the vigilant girl beside him, "This half-plane is not big. Let's first find a place called 'wisteria valley', and then make a decision after learning the details."
"Is there still a living here?" Santira looked at Brian and asked like a curious baby.
"That's right." Brian nodded slightly and explained to her: "However, it is not a real life form, but a constructed creature."
Let him know the specific situation about the semi-plane explained by the storm.
In order to enrich the population of the semi-plane without endangering any innocent people, the wizard in the harpist created a construct to play the villagers with a wooden mannequin.
Magic makes them look like flesh and blood, and these constructs are convincing real humanoid creatures, living only in the wisteria valley.
Detecting magic spells does not reveal their true nature, as each construct is protected by a spell that makes it appear to have no magic effect.
Although these artificial villagers can interact physically with their surroundings and have long conversations, there are still some clues that reflect their true nature.
The purpose of making the construct is to simulate a real world for the fallen ranger Azara, trying to enable him to gradually regain his true self in this peaceful and peaceful life.
"If the scope is not large, it will be simpler. Let me help you locate the location of the village." Santila pondered and volunteered to Brian.
Then, she closed her eyes, opened her jade lips lightly, and quickly recited a series of magic spells.
Flashes of light green aura spread out from Santira's body at an extremely fast speed.
After a while, the girl Drow slowly opened her eyes, as if she was recalling the scene that appeared in her mind.
Brian knew that the other party was using the ranger's magic "Earth Vein Detection", which allowed her to accurately detect rivers, lakes, villages, or some cave nests within 50 kilometers nearby.
"From here, about 15 kilometers southeast, there is a forest, through which we are our destination: Wisteria Valley." Santira said to Brian.
Brian handed her an admiring look and walked in the direction she pointed out.
At this moment, a ball of flesh with tentacles suddenly appeared from the nearby pile of rocks, floated to the two of them, and grinned and screamed:
