Chapter 373 "Fearless Assault"

This film by Dimension Entertainment will tell the story of a film project that will tell the theme of the Chinese soldiers fighting terrorism in space in the near future, and has entered the preparation stage.

The crew is not in a hurry to build it. The first thing they have to do is definitely concept design and script.

In order to reflect the importance of the project, Fan Zhe personally did the concept design of this space film tentatively named "Fearless Assault".

In fact, this project was a bit special during the preliminary preparation process.

It originated from Van Zhe's own idea, and everything was displayed in an image at the beginning.

This means that "Fearless Assault" now has no story, and all of them are sketch settings.

As for these concept design drawings, Fan Zhe himself will continue to draw some of these concept design drawings, and will also throw the sketches to other designers, asking them to draw some designs based on the concept drawings of the sketches.

From these images, you can basically feel the aesthetic appearance of the entire work.

This is an era of the future, but not very far. Humans have already landed in space, but they cannot go too far. Some strongholds can be established on the moon, the earth, and some asteroids, and even immigration of a certain scale.

Soldiers and soldiers mainly rely on spacecraft and fighter planes to carry out activities, and have exoskeleton armor, so they can survive and fight in extraterrestrial environments.

The style of these armor and spacecraft has a completely different style from the Hollywood blockbusters you can actually see in the mainstream.

Hollywood science fiction films always like to make spaceships very high-tech, streamlined designs, and blu-rays with a strong sense of science fiction. This is very common.

However, this "Fearless Assault" is completely different. If it is similar, it is more like "The Wandering Earth", with large machinery, large armor, and rough appearance, but it looks very powerful and durable at first glance.

This is very similar to the style left over from the Soviet era. It seems rough and ugly, but practical. The practical and violent industrial style is nothing more than that.

In terms of space pirate design, they will of course make a certain difference from the regular army from equipment to appearance, but under Fan Zhe's brush, these things will be done as realistic as possible.

It’s not that you have to go against common science fiction blockbusters in Hollywood and be innovative. After all, many places have to learn from the success of a century. However, it is important to get out of your own style, and Van Zhe himself will also have his own aesthetic thinking about these things, and he is confident of making something different.

The importance of art in a movie is beyond doubt. Don’t simply regard art as equivalent to special effects. Everything reflected in the movie’s pictures is actually within the category of ‘art’.

From the use of the camera, the layout and composition of the scene, to the makeup on the actor's face, and even a simple accessories on his body, whether these things can match the story and spiritual core of the whole movie determines the success of a work.

A truly excellent movie, even a purely feature film, is absolutely considerable in the camera.

In terms of the style of making movies in Dimension Entertainment, there is never a need to worry about these art things. The most powerful dimension lies in the art aspect. In addition to the ‘dimensional’ system, the most powerful aspect of the company is that there are countless talented artists. This power is extremely relied on when the company produces any project.

If you have such a huge advantage, you don’t have to be a fool.

Even in film projects, the company's art department can even dominate in a sense - how to shoot movies, and the opinions of art are very important. Many times, if the storyboard is well drawn, the set, the shots, and the scheduling are strictly followed by the storyboard script, and the director actually does not play much.

This is why many more powerful famous directors don’t like to cooperate with Weidu Entertainment—there is no room for play! After a movie is made, the director has no sense of existence, which is quite difficult for some famous directors to accept—Du Zhengde is an exception.

Of course, the ultimate movie depends on the actors' performance, a complete design, and a good story to show, and art is not the only one.

In terms of the story, it depends on the screenwriter team.

The screenwriter team of Weidu Entertainment has been growing stronger over the years. Fan Zhe has always paid great attention to cultivating the screenwriter team, because most of their works are made from games, novels and other things, and the importance of screenwriter is very prominent.

Now, there are more than 60 full-time screenwriters serving Weidu Entertainment. Including outsourcing and cooperating screenwriters, there are probably more than 100 people.

There are newcomers who have just entered the industry, experienced industry veterans; there are well-known screenwriters who have been recruited from outside, and experts who have been trained by themselves...

They are no longer the small company they just established back then. They are quite confident that they can stay for talents, whether in terms of career development or salary, they are quite attractive. And for talents outside, their dimension entertainment is also very attractive.

And the work of these hundreds of screenwriters is of course a very important part of writing scripts.

Not only are projects being filmed, but also projects that are about to be launched, they will also write many other scripts. For example, write a script to the IP currently owned by Weidu Entertainment's copyright library; for example, write scripts to some heroes in the LOL series who have not yet been launched; and even many original stories...

These scripts may not be able to be used in the near future, or even not in the lifetime of life, but they must be available. The more reserves you have, the more calm you will be when you carry out projects in the future. Then, just take out the better ones from the script library.

When the project is about to be established, it is too hurrying to create scripts. It is too urgent. In the time of emergency, there is not much effort to polish it. The quality of scripts produced in this way will definitely be affected to a certain extent.

Of course, sometimes there is no way, such as the present.

The project "Fearless Assault" came too quickly. There was really no suitable script in the previous script library of Weidu Entertainment. It could only be written in the book that can be used directly.
