Chapter 655 Tang Wang Zhu Yujian
Chapter 655: King Zhu Youjian of Tang
After Zhu Youjian's imperial edict was issued, with the assistance of the Ministry of War, Haijiao and Tang King Zhu Youjian immediately began to prepare military supplies to Ryukyu. Since ancient times, the troops have been going before they move their food and grass. However, this expedition does not require the transportation of military supplies by land, and they can only load ships in Tianjin.
Haijiao loaded all military supplies, food and grass on sails and warships in Tianjin, and Tang King Zhu Youjian led his army to Fujian to join.
The Tang Dynasty King Zhu Youjian, whose courtesy name was Changshou, was the second emperor of the Southern Ming Dynasty. He was the eighth-generation grandson of Zhu Ju, the 23rd son of Zhu Yuanzhang, the 23rd son of the Ming Dynasty Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang. His grandfather was Zhu Shuohong, the King of Duan of Tang, and his father was Zhu Qiying, the son of Duan of Tang, and his mother was Empress Xuan Mao.
After Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself in Beijing, the Ming Dynasty royal family established the Southern Ming Dynasty in Jiangnan.
In 1644, King Fu Zhu Yousong established the Hongguang regime.
In 1645, Emperor Hongguang was captured by the Qing army and died. Zheng Zhilong, Huang Daozhou and others helped Zhu Youjian ascend the throne in Fuzhou and became emperor. The reign was changed to Longwu. Later, he was called Emperor Longwu, also known as King of Tang. In the same year, the Longwu Tongbao coins were cast.
In 1646, the Qing army entered Fujian, and Emperor Longwu was captured in Tingzhou and died on a hunger strike at the age of 44.
Emperor Longwu was a more capable emperor in the Southern Ming regime, but unfortunately his personal strength was not enough to change the entire situation.
There are many different opinions about the fate of Emperor Longwu: he died of a hunger strike, was shot to death by arrows, beheaded by Caishikou, and died in Tingzhou Futang, etc., and it is difficult to distinguish the authenticity.
The Qing army chased Tingzhou. Emperor Longwu, Empress Zeng, Chen and Chen were captured in Zhaojiatang. Emperor Longwu was later killed in Changting around the day he was captured.
According to the Qing Dynasty's records, General Dorobel Boro, the general of the Southern Expedition, entered Fujian and joined Jianning and Yanping Prefectures.
"I heard that the fake Tang King Zhu Yuzhao fled to Tingzhou and sent the guards commanders Ajignikan and Duerde to lead troops to pursue and head to the city. Our army rushed to the front, captured and killed Zhu Yuzhao and the fake Yangqu King Zhu Shengdu, the Xihe King Zhu Shengqi, the Songzi King Zhu Yanhan, the Xicheng King Zhu Tongjian merged the fake officials, the fake Bo and others, and pacified the Tingzhou... and captured nine fake seals, and the horse and mule baggage were incomplete."
Jiang Risheng's "Taiwan Foreign Records" says:
"Emperor Longwu died in Tingzhou Prefecture Hall, and on August 28, the third year of Shunzhi, all the records of the various families were written by Longwu and sent to Fuzhou to behead him.
But at that time, Lu Kunheng, a Jinyiwei, followed him and saw Emperor Longwu's empress in a small military hat, and was hit by Jipin. Kunheng took out a group of corpses and buried them in Luohanling, and erected his monument:
"Longwu and his mother, Concubine Guanghua, were named the tomb of the Empress Xu of Yingzhong Lieutenant. Later, Kunheng returned to Zheng and then became a monk. He was 80 years old and said it was an oral statement. Therefore, it was specially expressed."
The fate of Emperor Longwu was different in the records. Jiang Risheng refuted the claim of being taken back to the provincial capital Fuzhou to behead, which was knowledgeable, because such a major event was never mentioned in the Qing archives and records of people from Fuzhou.
There is another saying that the person who was killed in Tingzhou was Emperor Longwu's substitute, and he fled to Wuzhishan, Guangdong to become a monk.
According to folk legend, after Emperor Longwu fled to Hutou, he was afraid that someone would find out the news, so he settled down at the Miaofeng Temple on Miaofeng Mountain, cut his hair into a monk, and called himself "Southern Monk".
At first, the "Southern Monk" studied and practiced martial arts, and planned to lie on firewood and taste gall, and one day he restored the Ming Dynasty. But later, seeing that the situation in the world was clear and the general situation was gone, and he was discouraged and lost his will, he became a monk and finally ended up in the lake.
This statement is hard to believe, the reason is: First, Guangdong supported the Longwu court at that time. If Emperor Longwu could really escape to Guangdong, there would be no need to escape into a monk; even if he was said to be disheartened and saw through the world, it would be inconsistent with the legendary "the emperor sent an envoy to comfort his ministers."
Second, no one came forward to confirm this rumor; on the contrary, after the Grand Secretary He Wuzuo, who fled with Emperor Longwu, returned to Guangdong, he must have received quite accurate information and wrote a letter to the Zhaoqing authorities to establish a new king.
If Zhu Youjian was born in a peaceful and prosperous era, he might have been a wise king. He was very frugal and his character was rare among the kings of the Southern Ming Dynasty.
But unfortunately, he lived in the chaotic times in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and his troops were not enough to compete with the Qing soldiers.
He himself can be said to be the more capable emperor among the emperors of the Southern Ming Dynasty. Unfortunately, he chose the wrong power in the wrong place, which made him achieve nothing, and eventually the Longwu court's plan to restore the country failed.
Zhu Youjian's understanding of the history of the late Ming Dynasty in his previous life made him feel very sorry for Zhu Youjian. Since the King of Tang was the most capable of being among the many vassal kings, Zhu Youjian gave him the opportunity to show his abilities.
He began to prepare to let him go to Nanyang. Later, with the appearance of the brothers Zhu Cilang and Zhu Cijiong, Zhu Youjian gave the management power of Nanyang to Dingwang Zhu Cijiong.
Japan has caused great harm to China. Zhu Youjian will definitely take over this humble country. King Zhu Youjian of Tang is the best candidate for Zhu Youjian to manage Japan in his heart.
After receiving the emperor's secret order, the King of Tang began to recruit soldiers and horses. Although he only had two thousand men, these two thousand people were young elites in the Central Plains.
The target of the recruitment of the Tang King is not only strong in physical fitness, but also hard-working, has a strong sense of identity with the country and the nation, and also has a flexible mind and a sense of firearms.
He knew that it was not a time when he was holding cold weapons and was working hard to report to the emperor, asking for the appointment of military instructors to help them train new recruits.
After receiving the report from the King of Tang, Zhu Youjian not only asked Qi Jiguang to send ten Qi family troops and hundreds of households, but also sent five Jinyiwei to teach them the skills of close combat.
Now these people are all under the command of the Tang King. Under their strict training, the Tang King's two thousand troops have strong combat effectiveness and cohesion.
Some people may say that Zhu Youjian sent the Jinyiwei and the Qi family's army to hold important military positions under Zhu Youjian. Isn't the King of Tang worried that he was the eyeliner to supervise him?
To be honest, the King of Tang really didn't care. He had no idea of rebelling and didn't care at all that the emperor sent someone to control his army. It was originally the Ming army.
Although the army leader was sent by the emperor, as long as Zhu Youjian did not rebel, these people would obey the command of the King of Tang. No matter who they followed, they were only loyal to the Ming Dynasty.
After receiving the imperial edict, the King of Tang immediately assembled a team, each carrying only three days of food, brought a small amount of daily necessities, and boarded the horse and set off for Fujian quickly.
The Ming Dynasty's sea-road military troops were sent to the Ryukyu Islands, and Zhu Youjian did not intend to continue to sing and sing in the harem every night. He was preparing to set off the next day to rush to the northwest of the Ming Dynasty to check the drought.
Before leaving, Zhu Youjian also had to inspect the Ming Dynasty's Weapon Manufacturing Bureau. The future direction of the Ming Dynasty was closely related to this department, and it was also the department that Zhu Youjian paid the most attention.
When Zhu Youjian led Ah Qing and the Royal Guard to appear in front of the arsenal gate, the guards stationed here immediately stepped forward to greet him and quickly opened the door.
In the entire Ming Dynasty, only Zhu Youjian could enter the arsenal at will. He was turned away when the prince came last time.
Upon receiving the news of the emperor's arrival, Song Yingxing, Bi Maokang, Zhao Shizhen, Zixuan and others immediately ran out of the factory to greet him.
"See Your Majesty."
"Don't give me a gift, have the task I assigned you completed?"
