Chapter 1057 Academic Conflict
Li Zhi smiled and took the tea in his hand to look at me: "The arguments in "Theory of Heaven" are so insightful, it is really eye-opening. My father admires your book very much. And I also saw Jun Ge'er's theory in person, and I really feel like I'm hearing about the truth in the morning and dying in the evening."
"Okay, okay, don't flatter me. Doing this for my teacher is just to add another green yere to my Chinese culture and academic academics." I said this very modestly. In fact, we are using the academic theory of "Evolution and Ethics of Heaven" to promote the development direction of the wise men of the Tang Dynasty. He raised his hand and waved it at Bonahrjin. Well? When he turned around, you are the one who is the first to be a stylist. This guy raised his eyelids when Li Zhi came in, and then continued to fall asleep again. It really annoyed me. He kicked over: "The burned suckling pig is on the table, and he is still asleep?"
"I want to hind my legs!" Bonall jumped three feet high. When he widened his eyes, he noticed this young master with a black face and the prince who was smiling back and forth. Seeing that this young master looked bad, he naturally did not dare to stay for a long time. He laughed dryly and scratched his scalp: "Young Master, I will go down now, you must be hungry too. I will give you and the prince a fragrant roasted suckling pig to drink."
"That's great. By the way, don't forget to bake a little fatter. The crispy and crispy crust comes with oil. That taste is authentic." When Li Zhi heard this, his saliva almost rushed out, and almost forgot his purpose of coming here.
I turned around and glanced at the lazy prince. "I don't know why I handed over to you, such an apprentice. Alas..." I shook my head helplessly. Li Zhi didn't care about me and joked at him, and squeezed at me: "It's better not to take advantage of it. He pretended to say no, and he was panicking in his heart that he was a hypocrite, which really didn't meet the code of conduct of your teacher."
"...Oh. I have so many advantages in my teacher, why haven't I seen you learn it, but you have all the shortcomings you have done well, it's a bad thing!" I sighed to the sky, feeling helpless.
"My father has a saying, this thing is more beneficial than a great conflict with the theory of Confucianism. What do you think?" Li Zhi laughed dryly on the side. He didn't seem to want to continue to get entangled with me on the issue of his personality qualities. He flipped up a book on the table "Theory of Heaven" and read a few words in a pretentious manner, then looked up at me and asked.
I nodded: "Your father is worthy of being the wise ruler of my Tang Dynasty. This is not right at all. In fact, according to the teacher's opinion..."
Well, I really need to mention Confucianism. Since Dong Zhongshu yelled the slogan "Abolish all schools of thought and respect Confucianism alone" during the Wu of Han Dynasty, the function of Confucianism has been formed and strengthened at the social and political level, and at the same time, the role of Confucianism as a general ethical and moral cultivation and political ideal level has been weakened.
In primitive Confucianism, it inspired people to abide by moral norms and pursue an ideal society through moral education and ideal education. Therefore, Confucianism has great significance and role in the cultivation of literati and officials. However, when Confucianism was transformed by Dong Zhongshu and politically institutionalized some of the main contents of Confucianism, it became an external norm that must be followed regardless of whether you are conscious or voluntary or not. Therefore, its cultivation significance and role are greatly weakened.
In this way, the institutional success of Confucianism has become an opportunity for its moral cultivation function to decline.
By the end of the Han Dynasty, Confucian ethics, which had been institutionalized politically, became something that restricted and suppressed human natural emotions on the one hand, and on the other hand, it became a tool for hypocrites to gain fame and reputation, which aroused strong dissatisfaction among people. Metaphysics took advantage of this to reconcile the contradiction between famous religion and nature, and emphasized the basis of "nature". In theory, metaphysics also clearly proposed "to understand its roots and Confucianism speaks for its use."
Therefore, since the birth of metaphysics, although Confucianism still maintains its dominant position at the political system level, its function at the ideological cultivation level has been replaced by metaphysics or Taoism.
After the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and even during the pre-Sui Dynasty, Buddhist thought began to flourish, even surpassing the metaphysical trend, playing a certain role in the ideological cultivation of scholars and officials. However, in the Tang Dynasty, with the support of Taoism and suppression of Buddhism, and the strict control of religion over the years, Buddhism's influence on the scholar-official class became weaker.
That is, from the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties to the present, Confucianism only has those things reflected in political institutionalization, which continue to play a role under the maintenance of the ruling class. Although the research on Confucian literature during this period was not interrupted, works such as "The Justice of the Five Classics" compiled by Kong Yingda of the Tang Dynasty did not have much new ideas except for integrating and gradually unifying the views of Han Confucianism and metaphysicists. Therefore, Confucianism does not play much role in people's ideological cultivation.
After scattering my objective views and conclusions about Confucianism over the years, I made a summary speech: "As a teacher, I know that the point where Confucian masters such as Kong, Linghu and others criticized me is that the academic foundation of the "Evolution of Heaven" of Heaven is guided by Lao Tzu's theory, believing that heaven and earth are not kind and that all things are straw dogs, which is contrary to the foundation of the development of Confucianism in the unity of man and nature by Dong Zhongshu, the Confucian master of the Han Dynasty."
The basis of Confucianism is the theory of the induction of heaven and man. Dong Zhongshu believes that heaven is the supreme personality god, which not only creates all things, but also creates man. Therefore, he believes that heaven has a will, and like man, "has a spirit of joy and anger, a heart of sorrow and joy". Man and heaven are in harmony. This idea of "unity between man and man" inherits the theory of Si Meng School and the Yin-Yang Family Zou Yan, and develops it very refinedly.
But at the same time, it also limits the development of society, because Dong Zhongshu proposed theological theory of human nature in his ideological system. He believed that man was ordered by heaven, and human nature was obtained from heaven. The political purpose of his theory of human nature was to try to regard the feudal class and hierarchy as both out of heaven's will or the way of heaven. From the human nature of the destiny of heaven, it determines who should be ruled and who should be ruled; who should be higher and who should be lower; who should be educated and who should not be educated. He believes that this feudal order determined by human nature cannot be changed.
However, the academic basis of my "Evolution of Heaven" is based on the nature of biological creatures, and proposes the naked and chilling cruel reality of "the survival of the fittest and survival of the fittest." As the saying goes, the survival of the fittest cannot be adapted to the environment or society, and can only be eliminated by the environment or society.
The improvement of the imperial examination system in the Tang Dynasty, the establishment of the Royal Military Academy of the Tang Dynasty and the achievements in cultural knowledge learning, the establishment of the Qujiang Academy of the Tang Dynasty, and the establishment of the Weinan Hope Yixue, aren’t it a kind of erosion of Dong Zhongshu’s political thoughts? Isn’t this son touching and biting this bottom line again and again? What we have to do now is to see when it can be completely broken.
"Xiao Zhi, my teacher is right in front of you, saying something that should not have been said. The reason why the previous dynasty perished at the hands of Emperor Yang of Sui was because it followed the survival law of the survival of the fittest. Emperor Yang of Sui happened to think that this survival law was useless to him, or that he ignored this law and was even replaced by my Tang Dynasty. What does this prove?... Throughout history, the change of dynasties is actually because human society has regarded the prevalence of the weak since ancient times, but one thing to remember is that strength can be reversed, so you must always have a sense of crisis."
When I said this, I breathed a sigh of relief. I dare not write these words into "Theory of Heaven and Evolution". After all, no matter how wise Uncle Li is, he is also a dictator. I have been an example of the replacement of previous dynasties, and many things are just objectively commented, thus highlighting the political thoughts contained in my "Theory of Heaven and Evolution".
Li Zhi looked at me, and said a moment without saying a word. Then he sighed: "Every word of Jun'er is Zhuji, but it looks like a deafening thunder. I am really, I really can't find any words to praise you. Jun'er, let me tell you, the day after your book was delivered to my father, my father called the new Imperial College Priest Linghu into the palace. Do you know why?"
"I really don't know this. Let me tell you quickly and let me know a little." I was very interested, after all, I want to know all the measures to deal with Uncle Li's response to this incident.
