Chapter 3 Horror Paper Figures

The human face on the windowsill was naturally the paper man chasing Yan Ning. When Yan Ning found it, half of its body had already penetrated into the house.

Yan Ning was panicked and grabbed a broken table leg and inserted it into the paper man's head. Unexpectedly, the paper man's head was extremely hard, and the table leg was broken in response to the sound!

"Damn, paper people can become spirits?" Yan Ning cursed angrily, throwing all the things he could hold into the window, but the paper people were unscathed. The only change was to slow down the paper people entering the house.

Soon, all the things that could be thrown in the house were thrown away by Yan Ning, leaving only the broken abacus on the table and the old account book.

Yan Ning gritted his teeth, grabbed the broken abacus, and used all his strength to smash it at the paper man. The abacus hit the paper man and it was immediately broken, but the paper man screamed in great pain and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

And the scattered abacus beads on the floor actually emitted a faint golden light.

Yan Ning's eyes lit up immediately, and he stepped forward and picked up the beads in a hurry: "Can these beads actually repel the paper man? Could it be that Ye Nianchun opened the beads?"

Yan Ning picked up all the abacus beads and counted them slightly, with only twenty-three. Yan Ning put all the abacus beads in his pocket in case there were evil spirits coming to chase him.

The calculator is so powerful, the broken account book next to it should have a lot of stuff, right?

Yan Ning locked the window and quickly returned to the table and looked through the account book. But to his disappointment, it was just an ordinary account book, with no strange things recorded until March 1999.

With curiosity, Yan Ning turned the account book to the year he was born. He casually searched it and found that the accounts of the day he was born were gone.

That page should have been there, but was torn away by someone. The tearing mouth was very uneven, which means that the person who tore away that page was in a hurry.

Yan Ning didn't know much about the grievances of the previous generation, but Yan Ning didn't believe that all this was a coincidence. There must be some ulterior motive secret in the dark.

Otherwise, why would the alchemist appear tonight? Why did Fan Wujiu arrest himself again?

Yan Ning couldn't figure it out, so he simply stopped thinking about it. There was still a terrifying paper man outside the door, and Yan Ning couldn't let it think too much.

At this moment, Yan Ning found a strange thing in the account book: the side of the account book actually wrote the word "intermittent" in a red pen.

When Yan Ning was a child, he followed his father to collect herbs for a living. He knew a little about the names of some Chinese medicines. This intermittent is the most mysterious medicinal herb. It is said that it is the introduction to the production of the Resurrection Pill.

Yan Ning put down the account book and used the faint light to search for the word "intermittent" on the medicine stand, but after searching it inside and out, it still remained unintermittent.

He returned to the account book in dismay, stomped his feet depressedly, and the decadent look on his face suddenly disappeared, and he said to himself:

"Ye Nianchun, indeed, is worthy of being a villain. I'm afraid there are secret doors everywhere in this room!"

It turned out that there was a secret wall at Yan Ning's feet. Yan Ning roughly lifted the wooden board, and there was a small sandalwood box inside, with the word "intermittent" written on it.

Yan Ning was happy and quickly picked up the box. Under the box, he found an ancient book called "Wumen Ghost Technique".

"Wumen Ghost Technique? Isn't it the magic that Fang Shitian used to deal with Fan Wuxue just now?" Yan Ning put down the medicine box, excitedly held the ancient book in his hand, and flipped through it, but before he could read it carefully, with a loud bang, Yan Ning looked up and saw that the door had been knocked open, and the paper man with an unrecognizable face rushed in!

Yan Ning quickly retreated, took out three abacus beads from his pocket, and threw them at the paper man hard.

The paper man is mentally prepared and flexibly avoids it, throwing all three abacus beads into empty space!

A strange smile appeared on the paper man's face, and the corners of his mouth were raised to a terrible level, and he walked towards Yan Ning step by step.

Yan Ning was panicked and knew that the abacus bead would not work at this time, so he had to put all his hopes on the ancient book in his hand.

He flipped it around casually, then smiled confidently inexplicably, and shouted: "Little bastard, die!"

The paper man didn't know where Yan Ning suddenly got his confidence, but he was frightened and stamped his feet and did not move forward.

Yan Ning cleared his throat and shouted loudly: "Angelica... twelve cents, red peony 10 cents! Salvia miltiorrhizae fifteen cents! Zelan ten cents... Damn, this is a cure for infertility!"

Yan Ning thought that the book was about magic to eliminate demons, but he didn't expect to turn to a page of real medicine and quickly said, "Error, mistake, wait, I'll look for it again!"

“Battle…”

The paper man sneered and flew towards Yan Ning. Two-foot-long nails grew on his pale hands, and they were about to pierce Yan Ning's head, but Yan Ning shouted: "The Tao follows nature, the universe is invincible, the imperial edict!"

Suddenly, a golden light emanated from Yan Ning's body. The paper man's nails touched the golden light and instantly turned into blue smoke and dissipated.

The paper man screamed, and a look of horror appeared on his face.

"You're scared! That's right! Let's go!" Yan Ning took the opportunity to take out two abacus beads from his pocket, and saw the opportunity, and slapped it hard on the paper man's head.

The paper man wailed in pain, and his body quickly collapsed. The next moment, he had already fallen with the wind and turned into an ordinary paper man.

After doing all this, Yan Ning felt relieved, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, and sat on the ground:

"Damn it, I'm scared to death. Fortunately, this mantra is useful, otherwise I would have died in the hands of this paper tonight... I thought that I, Yan Ning, had a reputation for my life, and finally died on a piece of paper. If this is spread, I will not be laughed at by someone!"

Yan Ning breathed a sigh of relief and picked up the two abacus beads. He found that the abacus beads had lost their luster and became extremely dim. It seemed that it had lost the effect of exorcising evil spirits, so Yan Ning had to throw them away.

Looking back on what happened tonight, Yan Ning didn't dare to imagine it, but now everything happened in front of him, subverting his worldview of eighteen years ago.

Yan Ning sat next to the paper man, stunned for a long time but couldn't recover.

At this time, a loud rooster crow sounded. Yan Ning opened the window and saw that the sky had turned white, dawn had passed, and day was coming.

He waited for the alchemist in the clinic for another half an hour, but he was worried that a neighbor would see the messy clinic, so he finally left quietly with the medicine box and the ancient book.

After leaving the clinic, he took the earliest shuttle bus, as if he was avoiding the plague god and stayed away from the town.

It was bumpy all the way, and he didn't return to his residence in the city until the afternoon, but he didn't expect that someone was waiting for him at home.

"Yan Ning! Are you stupid? Why didn't you go to the college entrance examination yesterday?! Are you crazy!"
