Getting advanced foreign equipment can at best point out a way for the country's scientific and technological development, proving that it is right in this direction, and can strengthen R&D determination and accurately invest R&D funds. At the same time, the appearance and mechanical structure of parts can also help domestic scientists reduce R&D time, that's all!

The experiments that should be done must be done. If you don’t do them, you cannot master the design parameters of the entire machine. Without these parameters, even if someone’s things are 100% restored, the other party will be confused by it if you make a little modification - you don’t understand why you need to modify them like this, there are no formulas or parameters.

It was finally copied and you released an improved version. The internal structure has changed. Isn’t this a trick to us?

Therefore, even if it is a copy, you must repeat the research process of others to collect complete information. After encountering the other party improving it, we can immediately understand why and whether it is useful based on the collected design parameters.

Moreover, after you have truly learned a technology, perhaps the other party has not made any improvements, but we can come first and make new products with better performance. This is the advantage of latecomers. Blindly imitating and copying can only harm others and not benefit oneself, and it is meaningless.
