Chapter 5 Transactions and Quotations(1/2)

The Qihai Traveler quietly sailed into the port. There was no light in the port, only an old sailboat from the Port Authority passed by. The other party used the lights on the ship to signal to them, and saw that it was a ship of the Saint Selected, so he no longer cared about it.

Under Catherine's instructions, they slowly entered a private dock. According to the smuggler's lady, the port belonged to her "old friend", but she was ridiculed and could not tell whether it was true or false.

But here is indeed more remote, more concealed, and more convenient for unloading. Those people wouldn't mind - this is what she said.

"who are they?"

"Some of my competitors may be more willing to see me in the mouth of a sea monster or fall into the hands of the Oshu people. Of course, I would be the same, but if there is a business coming, these guys are happy to cooperate."

"The relationship between you is really... a bit unique..." Tianlan blinked his big eyes.

The group was leaving the port and walking along a dark alley. The sailor was still on the boat, and Miss Tata did not come. Silvede, Xiesta, Miss Miya, Luo Hao and the box were also left on the Qihai Traveler to adapt to the situation.

The dense steps lined up side by side, and the road quickly turned upwards. On both sides were some residents, surrounded by small courtyards with white stone walls in the dark, with flower beds and vegetation on the top of the walls. There was no light, and everything was dim and unclear.

There is only a little fire from afar, floating and uncertain.

Catherine turned around and looked at Tianlan, pretending to be malicious and smiled: "This is the law of survival for us, cute little girl, actually I am the same. Don't let your guard down just because I stand by you. Everything on the sea is not fixed. Pirates are bloodthirsty and cruel, and smugglers are greedy and ruthless. For those of us who are on the edge of the law, only the offer is appropriate, and the criteria are just a joke."

The sky is blue and a little hairy.

"But you won't betray us... Sister Katherine?"

"I owe you a favor and a life. I will try my best to help you complete this business, but that's all."

Fang Zhu shook his head gently. Although Catherine deliberately said it was creepy, they were not unprepared.

"Where are we going?" he asked.

"A friend's place," Katherine replied in a slightly sincere tone: "We will find a place to stay first, inquire about information, and do not rush to deal with those people. Patience will give us the upper hand. Even if time is tight, we cannot let the old vultures see it."

Fang Zhu nodded.

The distant light is a hotel, with lights covering the dilapidated storefront, the door is covered with a layer of moss and erosion marks, and a black panther is painted on the sign.

They quickly walked closer. Catherine looked around and then walked up and knocked on the door. Soon, a lazy voice came from behind the door: "It's full, look for something else."

"Stop talking nonsense, open the door, Edward."

The door suddenly opened, but a narrow light first pierced from inside. Fang Zhu's eyes were fast and he recognized it as a dagger. However, Catherine reacted faster than him. A thin sword appeared in her hand, and used the cage handle to hold the blade of the dagger downwards, and then pushed it aside.

A long spark was unleashed in the darkness.

The spark reflected the man's face, and Fang Zhuan saw clearly the scene inside the door - a man with one leg was wearing a greasy coat, missing one eye, wearing a black leather eye mask, holding a dagger in his hand, and coldly blocking everyone outside the door.

"Yo," the other party whistled: "Isn't this Sister Catherine? You are not dead yet? What wind has blown you here. Are you planning to owe me money?"

"Stop bragging, let's talk about this when you can get rid of me. Edward, prepare a room for me, and ask me what the Imperial Army is like outside. I want to do business with those old vultures. Are they on the island now?"

"Why?"

Katherine threw several Imperial Eagle-headed gold coins over, "I'll pay cash this time."

Edward's expression eased a little, and he looked at Fang Yu and his group, making a joke: "Are these people?"

"My client, ask less questions, Edward."

"Your 'customer'?" Edward looked at them strangely as if he had heard some funny joke. "I've never seen a 'customer' like you, Katherine...I mean, uh, such a free and easy 'customer'?"

Catherine glared at the other party with annoyance: "Shut up, Edward."

Edward seemed to be smiling, but he didn't say anything more. He let half of his body be allowed to enter. When the naturalist Miss passed by him, he tried to reach out to take advantage of him, but Catherine grabbed his hand quickly and glanced coldly:

"Edward, if you don't want to die, just calm down."

Edward wanted to say something else, but Fang Zhu gently reached out to the sapphire on the neckline. In a bright blue light, a dragon hunter holding a single blade appeared silently. The former's eyes shrank and he subconsciously closed his mouth.

"A respected alchemist."

He covered his hand on the left collar of the coat and bowed his body.

Ji Ta was stunned for a moment, turned around, held his glasses and looked over with some gratitude.

Tianlan, who was following behind, gave the man a angrily rolls his eyes, pulls the naturalist lady and walks through him into it.

Edward stood up and his eyes met Alisa behind him. The cold aura on the beautiful Nightingale made him wake up immediately. After being stunned, he subconsciously took a step back and let the other party walk past him into the hotel.

Before Fang Yu entered, he heard the other party whispering to Catherine:

"Good, a high-level combat craftsman and a shadow dancer, where did you find these people?"

"I dare tell you the origin of these people, but do you dare to listen, Edward?"

"Oh, when I didn't say it," Edward raised his hands, "I saw nothing, I just paid, remember my interest, Kay-Ser-Lin-Mr.

Catherine walked over with a smelly face. Fang Zhu looked at the wooden staircase leading to the second floor - shaking in the dark - and the group stayed in front of the porch. Even May, who was not always picky, frowned slightly at the interior of the hostel.

Cui Xisi even wrote her contempt on her face, her brows squeezed together - can this place live in people?

"Okay, everyone, I'll just give it some," Catherine said, "It's not safe to live in other places. Most of the regular hotels are the Imperial Army's eyewitness. Only in this place, I can trust him."

"who is he?"

"Edward, a pirate... To be precise, the former Blood Shark Pirate, few people like him can "get off the boat safely, but he has this ability, so he can afford to open this hostel here... Smugglers and pirates stay here, and he has some connections in the local area, so he usually cannot check this place."

Fang Yu nodded. As he expected, the man's habit was obviously the one who had been hang out on the sea, either a sailor or a pirate. "Dropping off the boat" is a special term for pirates, which means washing hands without doing it. This term has a long history, but in order to prevent betrayal, there are often not many people who can actually successfully "droop off the boat".

Therefore, he chose to believe Catherine's words. The fact that a former pirate can establish a legitimate business here means that his identity is extraordinary. But she can recognize a Blood Shark Pirate, obviously there is a story in her.

Catherine remembered what Edward said before, frowned and explained: "If we, who are wandering on the edge, want to ask for food from the hands of the imperial people, naturally, all kinds of friends must know. In fact, I have been on the pirate ship for a while."

Fang Zhu nodded.

Katherine handed him a bunch of keys.

"Your room is on the second floor, at the end of the corridor, near the window, and there are several suites inside, which should be enough for you to stay and rest."

"There is a small wood behind it. If there is any emergency, it is convenient to escape. I specially asked Edward to free it. Remember to leave a room for me. I have advised Edward that he will not take the initiative to disturb you when it is okay."

Fang Yu took the key and asked, "Are you leaving?"

"I'll go out to inquire about the information and contact my 'old friends'. Our boats are parked on their territory and will be alert. I have to give them an explanation, inform them of their purpose, and find out their words."

She looked at Fang Yu: "If you can't trust me, you can send someone to accompany me, and two of you can do it."

Fang Yu shook his head, "No need, don't doubt people, don't doubt people, Ms. Catherine."

Catherine glanced at him a little surprised.

"I really don't know if you should be naive or bold."

“None are not.”

Fang Yu looked at her and replied, "It's just that the Imperial Army on the island and your 'old friends' can't keep us. In this case, I believe you will make the right choice, Ms. Katherine."

Catherine was stunned.

Then a look of appreciation appeared from her ambitious gaze. She couldn't help but look at Fang Yu up and down, and smiled slightly, "Very good. I like to work with such a partner. I will give you a satisfactory answer. Let's go, I'll take you to your room first."

Tianlan dragged her suitcase—the box was filled with her changing clothes, and there were three or two instruments—she said with some difficulty: "Sister Catherine... can you help me?"

Katherine readily agreed.

He took the suitcase with one hand and put the other hand on the back of the box, lifting the box.

The group came to their room, which was an ensuite with a huge living room. The facilities were a little old, but compared to the lobby, it was quite clean, with thick carpets in the middle and several cloth sofas.

The living room leads to three rooms, and the men and women are living separately, leaving the remaining one for Catherine.

Cui Xisi had a bitter face and patted the sofa with her hands. A layer of dust immediately floated up. Seeing this scene, Tianlan took two steps back and forth. Only Alisa silently laid a tablecloth on the sofa and sat down.

Parker walked aside and glanced out of the floor-to-ceiling window. He did see the woods - a small orchard. He quickly pulled the curtains on his hands and feet, then looked at Jita beside him. The naturalist Miss understands it and opens the magic book.

An invisible barrier enveloped the entire room. She carefully checked the surroundings before nodding to Fang Zhu, confirming that there was no surveillance magic.

Cui Xisi also released her fairy doll, "Azure Blue" and floated in the air to check whether there were any extra 'eye wire' in the house, but the direction where the silver thread was connected was a void, "there was no other component."

She looked at the one next to Fang Yu-except this one.

Fang Yu nodded, and couldn't help but think that this series of work was actually in charge of Luo Yu. When he thought of this long-lost companion, he couldn't help but feel silent. After a moment, he said, "What do you think?"

"I don't think she looks like a smuggler at all," Parker sat on the windowsill. "This place looks like a black shop. Maybe we will be surrounded by a group of pirates at any time. Look, its boss is a blood shark pirate."

"Just kidding, this is the territory of the empire, and it's not the pirates to surround us." Cui Xisi shook her head.

"But she does not look like a smuggler," Alisa looked at Fang Ling. "I have never heard of a smuggler coming out alone to take care of life. She said she came here on a ferry boat from the Hill of Giant Trees. What do you think, Captain?"

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Fang Zhu looked at Tianlan.

"She is indeed a native of the Hill of the Giant Tree. I just deliberately handed her the suitcase. Only the elves would carry their luggage like this, and some of the Sangshake nobles would do it. I have never seen anyone else carry their luggage like this."

Tianlan whispered: "And... I don't think Sister Katherine will betray us."

"She recognizes Minmeer and us. She does not seem to be someone who can do short-sighted things, but this lady's origin is indeed a bit mysterious. I feel that she is a person who makes a living at sea. Before getting off the boat, I specifically asked Baggins and Silweid," Fang said: "That's how they see it too."

"Will she have anything to do with the Blood Shark Pirate?"

"The Blood Shark Pirates won't act alone."

Fang Zhuo's final conclusion: "But anyone has a secret, and this lady is no exception. We don't need to investigate some issues. In short, we will stay in Guimana for a while first. I will ask Luo Hao and the others to pay attention to the ships entering and leaving the port. As long as there is no ship left the port, no one can pass on the information - from here to Freich, it will take about two days and two nights to go back and forth."

"So as long as there is a ship leaving the port, we'd better finish the transaction and leave within two days?"

"It depends on the answers of those people."
