Act 365 Soul(1/3)

The stars disappeared.

Another scene has been changed in the endless space, as if it is the scene after the end of the world. The earth is divided into pieces, mountains and rivers are spreading, the oceans and rivers are evaporated without a trace, and the places where you see are full of traces of magic raging.

There was only scorched earth left on the cracked plain, full of devastation, and the wreckage of machinery stacked on each other.

Looking at the bloody setting sun, Friston's expression was calm. He turned around and smiled, "You failed again."

In front, the dark creatures descending from the starry sky, the nightmare furnace structure flooded the last line of defense of the square pluck component.

But Fang Yu looked at this scene without any frustration:

"But it has actually been successful."

He replied.

He guarded this final line of defense alone, but he was not the only one in this world. The annihilation of one line of defense was exchanged for the mortal army to launch a counterattack on many fronts at the same time.

The horn has been blown, and it is already the last offensive of the Star of Fortune.

"Indeed," Friston nodded slightly, "for personal purposes, it is almost impossible to defeat the Star of Misfortune, but the legacy of Gerdham and Helinwell was not left to one person. If you bring them here, you will be destined to that result."

"The future is certainly not so simple. The tower cannot simulate the situation when the disaster star arrives, but after mastering such abilities, the future of mortals will have infinite possibilities. The road to victory may still be difficult, but the future has revealed a corner for us, and it is at least no longer hopeless."

The genius let out a long breath, walked back slowly, sat down against a gray-white rock, and the other party said, "Listen to me to tell you a story."

Without waiting for Fang Yushun to answer, he spoke: "Once upon a time, there was a young man who fell in love with a sincere, kind and beautiful girl, but that girl, as the noble princess of the empire, had already lived another person in her heart."

"In order to get the love of His Highness the Princess, the young man competed with his companions, but there was no winner in this competition. His Highness suffered from a strange disease after a trip."

"As a last resort, the two young geniuses had to let go of the dispute and try their best to save His Royal Highness the Princess's life. But everything was destined to be in vain. When the black flame burned along every inch of the girl's skin, burning out her life and starlight, they could only watch her pass away without any help..."

"After that, the young man had questions about the passing of life and the origin of the black flame."

That was destined to be the beginning of a genius who came to know the misfortune star seven hundred years ago.

Later he embarked on another path. Since life withered like plants and trees, if a person's life is just a short moment, why don't we find a way to keep it from the hands of the god of death?

The young man invented an alchemy technique that can record human soul information in crystals. Then, he resurrected the dead and returned the dead. However, his first experiment encountered setbacks, because of the immaturity of technology, he allowed his sweetheart to stay in the dark underground forever.

Friston said:

"As he had no choice, he chose the second experimental item as himself. Because he was worried that an accident would occur in the experiment, he left two lowest commands in the soul information engraved in the crystal at the place of the experiment-"

"One is love for the princess."

"The second is to persist in this technical route."

As long as both are indelible, the wish he left will extend along this path until it is successful.

Fang Yu listened quietly and naturally understood everything that this story told - who the young man was, and His Highness the Princess didn't need to go into details.

And that young genius did not give up on the Soul School later. He had just left everything in that experiment. Since then, his shadow has been in every era, and he is active in the history of the empire.

It may have taken him a long time to reshape his body, and then he returned to human society a century or two later.

He approached the center of power little by little and eventually reached that high position.

Until most half a century ago, under the guidance of his former emperor, Friston began to lead the revolution in alchemy.

Fang Zhu was silent. In that story, the black flames represent the shadows of the shadow man. It turned out that they had appeared in the history of the empire seven hundred years ago. It was so lingering that it was always uneasy.

But Friston only told that story, "Actually, I expected things to change, and before everything was done, I was fully prepared."

"I returned to the Winter Solstice Tower and left all the records here. I was worried that the future would be biased from my plan, so I left a insurance here. And that's why, you'll see me here."

Fang Yu raised his head, "Mr. Friston, what are you worried about?"

Friston was silent for a moment, "You are too young, kid."

Love will turn into hatred, and the unforgettable hatred for the source of all disasters.

Faith and persistence will turn into paranoia.

"Since you have seen Gerdham and Helinwell, you know that what I do is just walking on the edge of danger," he said. "They have warned me more than once that those who walk on this line will one day cross the line."

He shook his head, "I can naturally see everything they can see, and I personally preside over it, and I know the risks. Therefore, I always guard that boundary with caution, but hatred and paranoia will cross the line-"

"Do you know what's the most dangerous part of this plan?"

Fang Zhu shook his head.

"My plan is to save those who have passed away. If they are to die, why don't we keep them. But the result of the soul will lead to an unbiased future, and people will realize that this will lead to an obvious path-"

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! "Eternal."

"Alchemists know that eternity is the enemy of the world. When the starlight is permanently solidified, the underlying cycle of the world is declared to end. It is the beginning of all collapse, but the path that shadows have taken."

He shook his head, "There is no eternal thing in this world. Even if the world will die, the starlight will be silent."

Fang Yu was terrified when he heard this. He could almost imagine that possibility. Who could tolerate the temptation of immortality?

If anyone can walk in this world forever.

Can you still endure your short life?

The short-lived species are inherently jealous of the long-lived species.

He suddenly thought of the Dragon Worshipers' promise to the bewitched people, and a trembling thunder passed by his body.

Friston smiled slightly when he saw him, as if he had relaxed a lot since he had seen that future. "You and Gerdham reacted exactly the same. They also looked at me like this, as if they were looking at a lunatic, exactly the same."

He shook his head again, "But your personality is not strong, it's more like Helinwell. No, you're more like the two of them combined. If Geldum had you half rational and Helinwell had you half 'reckless', maybe it would be much more successful than now."

Fang Yu coughed lightly and compared him with the two peerless geniuses. He felt a little embarrassed.

"It's a surprise?" Friston saw his thoughts, "How many people can enter this door?"

He spoke with pride, "I don't know how many people I can get out of the door afterwards, but you are the first one who can push it to see me. And there is no one who passes the test except you."

The 'President' sighed long: "I have watched the starry sky and sunset here for seven hundred years. I have never seen a second person. Seven centuries later, I waited for a descendant to come here."

He turned around and stared at Fang Yu with a strange look, "Do you know why I told you this?"

"You think the other yourself has gone the wrong way, Mr. Friston?"

"That road is not going to work," Friston replied. "Have you seen that future? He is still walking, and he will eventually become paranoid. You might as well talk about what I am doing?"

“Since many years ago, he has been carrying out an alchemy revolution.”

"Under the Empire?"

"Under the leadership of the empire." Fang Zhu nodded.

"Is it going well? Are there any opponents?" Friston asked.

Fang Yu was stunned for a moment. The empire has achieved a lot of results to promote the alchemy reform. With the blessing of the technological revolution, the empire of the Ausshu people once gained a leading advantage from the second world.

The reform was carried out incredibly smoothly. As for the opposition, the Seven Magic Family did not seem to be a real opponent of the change. At best, it just wanted to dominate the role of the cake. Looking back now, there were indeed no people and forces in the empire who clearly stood on the opposite side of the alchemy reform.

Even if there is, it is just a trivial noise.

"I guessed roughly what happened, don't you think it's incredible?" Friston smiled. "The empire is not an empire of a certain person. There are large and small interest groups in the huge and complex organization. There are still irreconcilable contradictions between the owners of the manor and the urban handicraftsmen. How could a change involving all aspects of productivity development have no noise at all?"

"Is there really a reform involving changes in core interests that will not harm the interests of any party, and the reform is completed so smoothly, as if it is like Angina's blessing. In this change, everyone and every family are appropriate and everyone is happy. Young man, do you think there is such a fairy tale?"

Fang Yu fell silent.

"We have led the same plan," he said, "but that plan was a complete failure. The magic emperor abandoned the second half of the plan and put everything in a dusty file. The plan now seems to be a chaos, with a few gaining benefits, and most suffering. In the years of resting after a war, no one is willing to lose his own interests for the disaster that will only come centuries later."

"Don't say a thousand years, even in a month, there will be many people hesitating," Friston shook his head. "That's how people are. Unless there is a benefit that is within reach and close to everyone, and that makes everyone have to be moved, they will be united. What do you think?"

Fang Yu had actually guessed the answer.

"But it's all just your guess," he said.

"It's also your guess. You've guessed it. I want you to stop myself, but you seem a little hesitant." Friston said to him with a smile.

Fang Yu was stunned. How could he not hesitate?

Even if what Friston said was true, could he stop the empire?

Is it publicized everything he saw in the tower? Not to mention the incredible things that he himself would believe in. Will the nobles and family, who are directly related to the core interests of the empire, win his belief in his one-sided words?

This may even include His Majesty the Emperor.

During the half-century reform, there were countless related interest classes formed in the empire. As Friston said, would these classes give up their interests today because they were just threats of tomorrow?

There may be rational individuals, but class must be blind.

Isn’t it the same drama that was staged in the Principality of the Deterrence twenty years ago?

Although he was a summoner and was not an imperialist, the support of the Kaolin royal family for him and Silweid was very small, and it was extremely likely that he would have to abandon them at critical moments.

As the leader of the Qihai Brigade, shouldn’t he consider the safety of every member of the team?

He is naive, but not stupid.

Will the world really come to an end after the Star Gate? But that will happen a hundred decades later. It is unknown whether it still exists in this world or not. Even if the Star Gate is really closed, what does it have to do with the other world?

Everything is just going back to the past.

But as soon as he closed his eyes, Miss Tata's calm expression immediately appeared in front of him, and the conversation between him and Faref and Atush in the Silver Tower.

"But what should I do," Fang Yu looked up and asked, "I am just a person, but my opponent is an empire, and I can't give anyone eternal life. How could His Majesty stand by my side?"
