Chapter 754 Waffen SS

On November 12, 1943, when half of the entire Southern Army Group of the Eighth Army Group of the German Army Group occupied a large part of Kharkov with troops from Romania, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Finland, France, Slovakia, Ukraine and Croatia, the entire Kharkov was even more covered by the increasingly fierce and dense artillery fire of the German army, and the bombing of the bomber group became a large ruin-like city, which was shocking.

The Soviet army stationed here was also annihilated. Although the Soviet army and the air force aircraft coming to the outside world were carrying out rescue operations frantically, they were eventually greatly widespread by the German army because of the gap in strength and combat effectiveness of weapons and equipment.

This prevented the Soviet army from immediately rescuing the small number of Soviet troops trapped and leaving Kharkov.

They even let their own troops fall into the increasingly fierce peripheral war in Kharkov.

At this time, the German army led by Manstein, reorganized by the Southern Army and the Central Army, united with part of the Northern Army and the 2nd and 9th Army forces of the Kharkiv area; a huge force was gathered.

This unit is the 20th Infantry Division of the Southern Wing, the St. Latzlo Division, the 4th Hungarian Army, the Viking Division, and the 1st Armored Division of the German Army.

The northern wings are the newly built 11th Army in Ukraine, the newly formed 3rd Armored Division in Romania with the assistance of the German army, and the 5th Armored Division in Hungary, the 3rd Armored Division in the German Army, and the 503rd Heavy Armored Division.

Half of the forces of the Southern Army in the North Wing, SS First Armored Army, the 22nd Mountain Army of the German Army, and the 69th Infantry Army; the 6th Infantry Division of the Croatia, the 13th Italian Armored Division, and the 20th Infantry Division of the Slovakia, which was newly reorganized and formed by the German army.

The "Blue Division" of more than 10,000 Spanish infantry in the East Flank, the 6th SS Armored Army, the 298th Infantry Division, the 2nd Cossack Division, the 90th Infantry Division, the 66th Infantry Division of Finland, the 27th Mechanized Force of France...

On the periphery of these main attack troops that gradually occupied Kharkov were the Central Army Group commanded by Manstein himself, a large number of elite armed SSs.

Among them, SS's first Adolf Hitler Guard Banner Armored Division, 502 Heavy Armored Division, 45th Imperial Grenadier Division, 58th Infantry Division, SS Hitler Youth Group Armored Division, Second SS Armored Division, Sixth SS Mountain Division, Seventh Volunteer Mountain Division (Prince Eugen), Ninth SS Armored Division (Hohenstaufen Division), Tenth SS Armored Division (Flensburg Division), and Eleventh SS Volunteer Armored Grenadier Division (Northern Division) formed a powerful peripheral attack formation to fight against more and more Soviet troops coming to rescue.

Half of these newly added armed SS units are Germans, one quarter are German foreigners, one quarter are foreigners, they are from Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Bosnia, Poland, Finland; Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Belarus, Norway, Bosnia, Hungarians, French, Romania, Bulgaria and the Soviet Union, as well as Germans from various Eastern European countries.

Chen Yanlong, the total strength of the armed SS, has expanded to more than one million troops and formed 50 divisions. However, there are only 23 divisions of the armed SS that have a certain combat effectiveness, and most of the remaining 27th divisions are new recruits, and the real German local training is underway.

However, these 23 armed SS divisions were transferred to the Eastern Front and fought against the Western Front.

There are 10 armed SS on the Eastern Front and 13 on the Western Front.

Because there were large troops of Manstein and Model on the Eastern Front, as well as a large number of national defense forces and vassal troops, Chen Yanlong transferred more armed SS to the Battle of Casino, which was in the process of war, to carry out strict defense and a large amount of practical training.

Moreover, in order to enable the strength of the Romanians who are more loyal and combat-effective, as well as a large number of Ukrainians who voluntarily invest in the battles on the Eastern Front, the mechanized troops and armored troops can be greatly improved.

So Chen Yanlong gave the Romanian and Ukrainian troops other than 600 armored transport vehicles, 60 assault guns, 26 No. 3 tanks, 36 No. 4 tanks, 16 No. 4 destroyers, 12 No. 4 tank destroyers, 36 Leopard tanks, and 30 heavy anti-tank guns to the Romanian and Ukrainian troops during World War II.

When the troops from these two different countries obtained half of their weapons and equipment, they were also very happy.

Because the more advanced weapons and equipment they can have to participate in battle, the more secure their lives will be.

Although Chen Yanlong now gave these more advanced weapons and equipment during World War II, they are not as powerful and advanced as the super-era weapons and equipment used by the German army today.

However, the Romanians and Ukrainians still like these weapons and equipment very much, because the German weapons and equipment they obtained were much more advanced than the domestic weapons and equipment they usually used, and the destructive power of attacking the enemy and killing power were much stronger.

The most important thing is that these weapons and equipment are provided free of charge by the German army. As long as they use these relatively new German weapons and equipment to fight the Soviet army in a desperate battle, as long as they can kill 3 or more Soviet troops, then this SS soldier can immediately choose to withdraw from the battlefield, return to his hometown to reunite with his family, and live a peaceful life without having to go to the battlefield again to get war days with bullets.
