Chapter 235 Mussolini's Decision

"Prime Minister! Something big happened!"

Just as the Battle of Sicily began, in the villa of Mussolini on the outskirts of Rome, Italy. Lachio, one of Mussolini's accomplices, rushed into the villa in a hurry, and quickly rang out the room where Mussolini and his mistress Claret Petac were, and shouted loudly and anxiously.

"What's the matter?"

Mussolini said lazily.

"The British and American Airlines is carrying out large-scale bombardment in the city center of Rome, Milan, Venice, Turin, Naples, Florence, Genoa, Bologna, Palermo, Cagliari, Taranto, and Mexico! Please issue combat instructions immediately!"

Confidant Lachio said loudly in panic.

"What! Why is this big thing? No one reported me immediately! No wonder I just kept hearing what was happening in the city center, and it seemed that something was constantly exploding! It turned out to be the bombing of British and American air forces!"

Upon hearing this bad news, Mussolini immediately jumped up as if he was shocked, and said in horror.

"I don't know why no one reported to you! Prime Minister! But now British and American troops not only bombard our major cities, but also they are airborne and landing in Sicily!"

Hearing Mussolini's response, his confidant Lachio continued to report the bad news in panic.

"What!"

Mussolini roared in anger and frightened as she opened the door.

"What I said is true, what should we do now? Prime Minister!"

Confidant Lachio said in panic.

"Have our air force gone out to meet?"

Mussolini asked immediately without thinking.

"We launched an attack early in the morning, but now most of them have been annihilated by the British and American Airlines team! There are less than 80 air force pilots left and 100 aircraft! In other words, our Italian sky has now become the world of the British and American Airlines team!"

"Our air supremacy has been completely lost. Now even the anti-aircraft guns in our major cities have been destroyed by the British and American airlines. Therefore, our citizens were killed and injured in this sudden British and American bombing!"

Confidant Lachio replied in panic.

"How could this happen? Our Air Force has not only a few pilots, but also airplanes. Didn't Hitler send us a new type of aircraft off the previous time? How could it make the British and American Airlines team fight so miserably and lose so quickly?"

"Isn't our air force the most powerful in the world? Why is it so vulnerable now!"

Mussolini also said in fear.

"This...I don't know either! Prime Minister! I only know that didn't Hitler exchange a large number of pilots for us? Is it because of this reason that there are so few pilots in our country?"

Confidant Lachio also recalled with horror.

"Damn Hitler! Call me quickly and ask him to send an air force to support us! Otherwise our country will be in trouble this time!"

"Yes! Prime Minister! And there are British and American troops in Sicily, how do we deal with it?"

Confidant Lachio agreed loudly.

"How many people have British and American troops sent to land in Sicily?"

Upon hearing this, Mussolini immediately asked nervously.

"I don't know yet! Because the battle over there has just begun! I only know that the British and American troops have deployed more than 10,000 paratroopers to airborne and dispatched more than 2,000 aircraft to attack to assist those paratroopers to successfully airborne!"

Confidant Lachio thought for a while, then told him what he knew.

"Hiss! So many planes and paratroopers? Then won't their army troops be even more?"

"It's over! This time I'm done. It seems that Sicily will definitely be captured. Our Rome and the entire Italy will be trapped in local wars!"

After hearing this, Mussolini said in horror.

"But don't we still have a lot of troops stationed in Sicily? There are also two German divisions here! They should be able to drive those British and American troops into the sea!"

Confidant Lachio also said timidly.

"We know what the quality of our army is! If they were strong, they would not have lost the entire Africa! And even the Battle of Tunisia surrendered more than 100,000 people!"

"What's more, the British and American troops are coming in full force this time. The army must be under the brink of the border and are well prepared! Otherwise, they would not have dispatched more than 2,000 planes to attack Sicily, and sent more than 10,000 paratroopers to conduct airborne operations!"

Mussolini said with a wry smile.

"Then we really can't handle their invasions? What about those Germans?"

Confidant Lachio said in fear.

"German army? Only the German troops of the two divisions in Sicily are stationed in Italy. With such a small number of people, how can they resist the British and American troops?"

Mussolini became more and more discouraged and at a loss.

"Then what can we do now to turn the situation around!"

Confidant Lachio's face turned pale in fear and his whole body trembled.

"How to do it? Hahaha! I want to know too!"

"Or we can only solve the bombing of our major cities now!"

"By the way! How many planes did the British and American troops dispatch to bomb us this time?"

Mussolini said anxiously.

"More than 4,000 aircraft, and they are from new fighter jets and bombers. This is the message sent back by our air defense department!"

Confidant Lachio looked ugly and replied in fear.

puff!

After hearing this, Mussolini almost sprayed out an old blood and fell into a coma.

"This time, the British and American troops are going to kill them all! Sending so many air troops to bomb us is our life!"

After fear, Mussolini was afraid that he had no will to fight.

"Or why we have peace negotiations with the British and American forces! Prime Minister!"

Confidant Lachio suddenly came back from his horror and boldly suggested.

"This...will the British and American forces accept our negotiations?"

After hearing this bad idea, Mussolini also reacted from fear and thought hesitantly.

"We'll know if we go and try it!"

Confidant Lachio continued to pluck his courage to propose.

"I'll call Hitler for help first, and then think about it! Because this matter is related to the safety of our lives and our people! Of course, our regime and interests!"
