Chapter 27: Large-scale air raid orders from the Soviet High Command

The Supreme Soviet Army Command, Chairman Stalin, Vice Chairman Molotov; other members include Temusinggo, Budonni, Voroshilov, Shaposhnikov and Zhukov.

While Chen Yanlong flew to the German front-line battlefield with a nervous mood, they were also discussing how to completely avoid strategic air supremacy; and undermining the fascist German army's concentration of troops in the direction of Kursk, and combat policies.

"Comrade Zhukov! You are now the marshal of the Voronezh Front, who commands General Vatukin and General Konev's Grassland Front! So I want to hear your opinions on how we should launch a full-scale attack on the broad front."

"I don't want to give the Germans a chance to breathe. At the same time, I hope you can quickly resolve the enemy of Ukraine and Donbas on the left bank, and seize the landing grounds on the right bank of the Dnieper River."

Chairman Stalin stared sharply at Marshal Zhukov who was standing up slowly, and asked while smoking his pipe and calling out.

"My personal advice on this issue is to avoid strategic air supremacy first!"

Zhukov stared at everyone and responded in a clear voice.

"I listen and continue talking! Comrade Zhukov!"

Stalin nodded slightly and responded.

"Yes! Leader!"

Zhukov also nodded.

"The aviation army of all fronts now has more maneuverability and flight speed than the German Messerschmitt-109 fighter jets."

"So I suggest we can carry out a large-scale air attack on Germany, which will severely damage the German major aviation group! Let us completely control the air supremacy of the entire Kursk!"

Zhukov said his suggestions in full.

"This proposal is good! Keep talking! Comrade Zhukov!"

Stalin nodded in agreement.

Zhukov smiled happily and nodded gratefully to Stalin in response.

"First of all, we carried out a sudden attack; the goal was to send German airfields in areas such as Sesha, Orel, Bryansk, etc., and blow up these airports and the German aircraft inside them, and the main groups of German air force were hit harder than ever before!"

"And when we have completely obtained air supremacy, our aviation forces can also provide strong cover for the defense and counterattack of our army units!"

Then, Zhukov continued to finish his conception strategy in one breath.

"Okay! I like your suggestions very much! So when do you think we can act immediately to completely hurt the German air force's main group, or all disappear into the airspace on the Eastern Front?"

Stalin said with his eyes shining and his spirited and excited.

"The attack orders can be issued now, because our aviation troops have made all pre-war preparations, and the most important point is that our German army's flight work rules, work and rest time are also clearly aware of the reconnaissance!"

Zhukov was confident and smiled knowingly.

"Okay! Then I agree with your suggestions now. At the same time, I also hope that other comrades in the Supreme Command will agree with Zhukov's good suggestions!"

Stalin patted his palm and looked around all the members of the Supreme Command beside him with a sharp look.

In an atmosphere of Stalin's agreement, all members of the Supreme Command immediately agreed with Zhukov's proposal to raid the main German air force.

Because none of them want to be left with a bad impression by this famous leader who launched the "Great Purge" movement; thus making them likely to be cleansed one day.

Therefore, as soon as the meeting ended, the Supreme Soviet Command immediately issued combat orders to the Central Committee, the West, Bryansk and the South and other front military committees; requiring all Soviet air forces to do their best to eliminate the German aircraft parked at the airport and combat in the air.

In addition, it also strictly required all Soviet air forces to blow up in large quantities and destroy all German transportation lines established on the Eastern Line.

At the same time, in order to ensure the safety of the aircraft participating in the war, the commanders of the air force also received an order from the Supreme Command: "At the moment of launching air combat, a large aircraft group must be used to carry out a sudden attack on the German airport; and a certain number of fighter aircraft groups must be dispatched to destroy the German anti-aircraft guns and their fighter aircraft group's counterattack!"

"It is necessary to destroy all German air forces in the Kursk area within 10 days and fully avoid air supremacy."

Within the next hour, the First Air Force Group of the Soviet Western Air Force, the Bryansk Air Force and the 15th Air Force Group of the total, quickly followed the orders of the Supreme Command of the Soviet Army to carry out large-scale air battles against the German army and acted efficiently.
