He may have stole the chicken from his neighbor when he was a child, but it does not mean that he cannot perform his duties to catch you. If he instigates you to continue committing sin, it is his unforgivable and forgiven crime.

Sheriff, why are you still standing there? Let this person interrupt my preaching with the voice of Silent Dan? Conduct your duties quickly and take him to your government office.”
