426 Persistence

The Christmas holiday and the New Year's Day holiday are connected, which is a very leisurely and comfortable time for the British. Tolkien calmed down and sat in front of the desk in the bedroom, sorting out his writing ideas. His eyes were looking at the snow outside the window, the hot tea and the pipe were emitting fragrance, and the quill shook slightly in his breath.

In the small yard downstairs, the tall Ado is building a snowman. Tolkien doesn't know why Ado especially likes the cold winter and the beautiful scenery of heavy snow. He doesn't seem to be afraid of the cold at all. He just wears a thin mage robe and lies on the snow, allowing the snowflakes to fall and accumulate. Edith was worried at first that Ado would catch a cold. If such a big sneeze, would it be earth-shaking? As a result, Ado's nose was a little red. After rubbing it, he happily said "Ado" and nothing else was happening.

The snow scene reminded Ador of Winterfell, which was the scene of his familiar hometown. Compared with the heavy snow in Winterfell, the snow in Oxford is just a toy for comfort. He was going to build snowmen for all the familiar people, including Bran, Jiujian, Mela, Summer, Zhao Mai, Xiaohua, a reserve grain, and Dogian. He found that the snow was not enough, so he secretly took out his magic wand, covered it with his chest, and moved the snow from his neighbor's house next door. Now that the materials are sufficient, he can play happily again.

"I didn't expect you to be a wizard, and your magical sensing and control are good!" A voice suddenly sounded behind him, which scared him. Since he had not passed the ordinary wizard level test, he was not allowed to perform magic in the Muggle world. Zhao Mai scolded this rule as bullshit and did not have to abide by it. However, Ado simply believed that it was important to not cause trouble. He looked back and saw a handsome blonde man standing at the door of Tolkien's house. His clothes were the same as ordinary people, but there were dark marks of magic badges on his cuffs and collar, which meant that he was also a wizard.

"I'm here to visit Tolkien. I'm his old friend. Is he at home?" The man was polite and his tone was very adorable. Ador pointed upstairs, rang his fingers, and rang the doorbell for the visitors.

"Who is it? Oh, Gellert, what a rare guest! Please come in and come in." Tolkien warmly invited Grindelwald into the room, waved his wand, and tidied up the living room sofa. "Edise, can you prepare some tea for us?"

Grindelwald looked at Tolkien using his wand with complex eyes. In his eyes, Tolkien's spells were just right and there was nothing surprising about using magic, which made him a little disappointed. However, he also knew in his heart that Tolkien's ability was not in magic, but in other aspects.

Ado completed the snow statues of everyone, and was shaking off the snow outside the house and preparing to enter the house. However, his skills were really average, and no one could tell who those people were except him. Instead, the two dogs were vivid. After he came in, he changed his shoes, went straight to the kitchen to help Edith carry the plates, and ate two small biscuits.

"Go to roast the fire. You have been playing for too long and your body is almost frozen."

Ado smiled and obediently listened to the mistress of the house. He sat on the ground by the coal stove, reached out and placed it next to the chimney and sucked almost half of the heat alone.

"How are you doing recently?" Tolkien said enthusiastically: "It's snowing heavily. I thought there would be no guests. I didn't expect to meet you suddenly, which really scared me."

"I was shocked, too." Grindelwald said with a smile: "I met Mike in France, but I didn't expect his magic to improve so much! I thought of you after seeing him. We have not met again since we last met at Blackberry Manor in Luxembourg. It just so happened that I came to the UK to see how you are doing now."

"Thank you, I'm pretty good. Zhao Mai and I are both teaching at Hogwarts, but I'm far inferior to him." Tolkien said with a smile: "He did a sensational thing and graduated before he entered school! But it's a pity that it would have been better if there was no obstruction from the Ministry of Magic. By the way, he now has a funny nickname called the eighth grader. At first, every time he heard this title, the expression on Mike's face was worth a look!"

"His nickname will become louder and louder, I'm sure of that." Grindelwald said with some slight reference. "Tolkien, do you know what Mike has to do with that Barbara? I haven't understood it for a long time."

Hearing this, Tolkien was choked and coughed for a long time before he recovered. "Actually, it's quite strange. I think that little girl admires Mike and may also like her very much. But Mike has a girlfriend, she..." Tolkien thought for a while and said, "She is a demigod."

"Demigod? Did Mike learn the curse from her?"

"No. That demigod doesn't know any magic, but fighting is very powerful." Tolkien wanted to laugh when he thought of Diana and Mike's relationship, especially Mike with dark circles and pale faces. It's not easy to see that. "Mac's spell is his own efforts, and he worked a lot at that time."

"Yes, it's very powerful." Grindelwald nodded.

Power? Tolkien's heart suddenly broke out and heard something was wrong. Usually, because Mike felt that the ancient spell was not perfect and was worried about causing unpredictable consequences, he rarely used spells. Tolkien believed that this was Mike's "conspiracy theory" and "worrying about nothing" and that he had committed another problem, but considering that even without the spell, he could solve all magic problems, so he would let him continue to be awkward. Of course, Tolkien also took time to help him organize the ancient spells, hoping to restore the entire language as soon as possible.

Zhao Mai is not the kind of high-profile person, at least he will not show the "power" of the curse in front of Grindelwald. "Did you two conflict?" Tolkien asked when he thought that Zhao Mai had always been suspicious of Grindelwald.

"Yes, we fought, I was defeated, and I lost to his strange spell. Don't worry, he has nothing to do, he is still lively in France." Grindelwald said frankly: "I thought about it afterwards. The magic he used was still the spell of a wizard, but he used another spell language. If anyone in this world can sum up a new spell, it must be you. Tolkien, can I learn this spell?"

Since Grindelwald has come to the door with the ability of reasoning, it doesn't make much sense to deny it anymore. Tolkien thought about it and shook his head and said, "Mac thinks that language is not perfect, and no one can use it except him. I actually tried it, and it has no effect, which is indeed incredible. I don't think you really need to waste your energy on it."
