Chapter 488 Cloning

The two Peter Parkers had been fighting for more than ten minutes at this time, but they were still indifferent. The two were incredibly physical strength. After playing for so long, they kept ridiculing each other in new ways, and they did not show any fatigue.

Suddenly, a rapid figure fell from the sky and suddenly landed between the two of them. Before they could react, they were grabbed by each hand and lifted up, pulling each other apart. Eric suddenly fell from the sky like a moment of movement, and picked them up one by one, saying, "Don't rush to hit you first, fists can't solve any problem, gentlemen Parkers."

Both of them stopped, and one of Peter asked, "Eric? Do you know what's going on? Who is this imitation guy? He imitated it very realistically, I have to admit it."

Another Peter said, "Ha, are you still talking till now?"

"You can calm down for a while," said Eric. "I'm not very clear either, but... well, I brought a clear guy, but you might not be happy to see him."

The two Parkers turned around together. One of their most hated enemies, Otto, had stood aside at some point, wrapped his hands, and said leisurely: "It's really interesting to see two spider boys fighting. I've never thought about it before."

"Otto!" the two Parkers shouted in unison, probably the only consensus they had since met, "Shouldn't he be in jail?"

"Otto escaped from prison earlier," Eric said, glancing at Otto, "and now the only reason I haven't sent him back is that he says he can explain it."

This sentence was a bit threatening. Otto was not angry and smiled and said, "It's really ironic. You wanted to break me up when we met last time, but now we need my help."

"This is not asking for help, Otto." Eric said coldly, "You have no choice. Now, you can repeat what you just explained."

Otto said: "I know that there are new forces in New York City recently. They seem to have developed potions that allow ordinary humans to briefly gain the same power as you spider boys. Something I have done before... to help Sky Eye create superpowered spider soldiers, so you seem to think it has something to do with me... I have to admit that it may be part of my genius."

"Stop talking nonsense," Eric interrupted, "just get to the point."

Otto smiled and said, "When I applied for a job for the super soldier who was responsible for building spider abilities, I was actually not the only one invited. Another person was also invited, but he refused, that was the 'Jugan'."

"It sounds like an animal," said one Peter, "Does he not have a formal name?"

Otto shook his head and said, "My understanding of him is limited to the information in the Sky Eye Society, but I know that even the Sky Eye does not know his true identity. I only know that he is a genius in genetics, especially for you - Spider-Man, and he has a very in-depth research. Even I have to admit that he is more competent than me in cloning your project."

At this time, the two of them had already come over: "You mean, one of us is a clone."

"Yes, you may all think you are real, but it may be that you are real, or it may be the memory given by the jackal, which makes you think you are real. So the question is...who is?"

Everyone was quiet for the time being. The two Parkers looked at each other but stopped talking. Of course, they both believed that they were the real one, but if what Otto said was true, how would you know that this belief was not the hallucination that the guy named Jackal had injected into him?

Although the two Peters looked exactly the same, they had different clothes, so it was not difficult to distinguish them. Gwen walked to Peter who had pulled her to escape and asked, "You said something very dangerous is approaching. You asked me to escape quickly. What are you talking about? Is it related to these?"

Peter hesitated for a moment, then nodded, and said, "Yes. I remember that I seemed to be caught by someone. When I woke up, I was already in a cloning base, and all of my clones were there. I was locked up there for a while, and almost tried my best to escape. After I came out, I learned that during my disappearance, there was another place where I had replaced me! I thought no matter who did this, he knew that I was Spider-Man, and all this must be directed at me. So I felt... I felt that I had to keep people who were important to me away from all this before things were too late."

"Interesting statement, if you are telling the truth, then the location you are talking about is probably the base of the Jackal. If someone told me that he had cloned a large number of Spider-Man with his own strength, I wouldn't be surprised at all." Otto said, pausing for a moment, and then said, "But the question is, how sure are you who are you talking about?"

This Peter frowned: "What does it mean?"

Otto said, "For example, do you remember where you were and who caught you from that base?"

Peter was stunned, thought for a while, and shook his head and said, "I don't remember much...it may be the side effects of the experiments they did on me."

"So, you should remember when you wake up and escape from the base, right? Can you describe in detail the location of that base? Or how did you escape? What kind of people intercept you on the way? How did you deal with them separately?"

Everyone's eyes were gathered on Peter. He frowned and thought hard. Every time Otto raised a question, he seemed to be even more painful. Finally, he knelt on the ground with his head in his arms and said, "I...I can't remember...but I'm really Peter Parker..."

But at this point, everyone had basically no doubts. This seemed to be a cloned version. Otto sneered proudly: "It is quite interesting to make a clone think that he is the real Parker to disturb him. It's a pity that Jackal's trick is not worth mentioning when he meets me Octavius."

Seeing the pain on his face, Gwen felt a little pity, and walked up to him and patted him on the shoulder, and said softly: "It's okay, it doesn't matter if you can't remember..."

"If I really can't remember, I have a way." Otto said, holding his chin. "Maybe his memory has been tampered with, but it must have traces, but it is hidden in a deep subconscious. You are very lucky that it is not difficult for a genius like me to awaken such deep memories. Take him back to my lab and I can let him say everything he remembers."
