Chapter 346 Director Lex Luthor

Somewhere, by the beach.

Another trouble related to our protagonist is quietly developing in an unknown corner, and Eric is still unaware of it. At this moment, he is lazily lying with Peter Parker on the lively beach with Peter Parker.

This is a beach trip initiated by the graduates of Midtown High School. In fact, according to the school’s practice, students who graduated in a few days will return to campus and freely celebrate the end of their high school career on campus in any way. But this year, someone proposed this traditional method and became a bit monotonous and boring, so they launched this beach trip.

An elegant figure emerged from the blue sea water, carrying a "rattle" white water wave. Today, Raven was wearing a bikini on the counter-site. Although she was completely black in her usual preference, her skin was as white as snow through the contrast. Through the layers of people, Eric's eyes unconsciously fell on the beauty of the water, and she also walked straight towards their place.

Peter leaned into his ear and whispered, "She is so hot, right?"

"What nonsense is it called purity."

As if nothing happened, Ruiwen walked to the side of the two and sat down, and asked, "Don't you go into the water?"

"No, we're talking about something." Peter said, "Well, I happened to ask something just now? By the way, Nick Fury - do you know he's not in charge of the business recently?"

"I've been not in charge anymore," Eric said, "You just don't know."

"Well, I'm not as informed as you," Peter said. "I met ASCHEUN last week while stopping a super-powered man trying to tear down a private enterprise... Then I realized that One-Eyed Dragon is out of business. Where has he gone?"

"I don't know." Eric shrugged, "Maybe he hid in some corner and changed his way to be a spy."

"To be honest, I'm actually quite afraid of this one-eyed guy." Peter said, "He always makes me nervous. Do you know he told me to consider working for ASCHEN when I grow up?"

"He really said that?"

"Yes. To be honest, I was really relieved after hearing that he was gone."

Eric smiled bitterly: "If you know the current director, you may not think so. To be fair, Fury is not bad-I know he once led an army to capture you from home, but he is not bad."

"Okay, I know, but it just doesn't feel good. Have you ever watched "Comprehensive Memories"? There was a little guy in it pulling up his shirt and there was a little monster hidden inside. I always wondered, if one day Nick Fury lifted his blindfold, would there be a little monster hidden inside suddenly say to me, 'Hey, hello!'"

Raven was so surprised by his imagination that he burst into laughter.

"So who is the new director?" Peter asked, "Do I know?"

"Do you know Lex Luther, the director of the Metropolitan Luther Group?"

"Damn! Of course I know it!" Peter shouted, "Mr. Luther is not only one of the most successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists in the world, but also among the most famous leaders in the scientific world, a sensational figure! Has he taken over that S.H.I.E.L.D.? Why isn't he written in the magazine?"

"Are you expecting the magazine to write such words as 'Lex Luthor, president of the Luthor Group, head of S.H.E.L.D.'?" Eric rolled his eyes, "Also, believe me, don't be fooled by his gorgeous resume. This guy is not a good bird... much worse than Furry."

ASUSD Headquarters, Sanfei Decoration Building, early in the morning.

The number of floors of the electronic display panel on the elevator slowly rose to the top floor. With the "ding" verification passes the prompt sound, Agent Colson, who has been wearing that black suit for many years, walked out of the elevator and came to his desk.

The one sitting behind the table facing him was Aegis, Lex Luther, the new boss of Aegis.

"I assume you came to my office early in the morning. There must be something urgent, Agent Colson?" Luther asked in a plain tone without looking back.

"In fact, I do have a little bit of a question," Colson said. "It's about a recent serial case, sir, I think you must have known it. An unknown person is attacking the superpowers one by one. Just last night, a factory employee named Hand Mivor was attacked. We had long suspected that he was a potential superpower, but because he was hiding very well, we never knew it... but even he was attacked."

"Hmm." Luther still didn't turn his head and signaled him to continue.

"This is a serial incident, no doubt. We know that so far, several superpowers have been attacked by the same person, because each victim has the same symptoms - no trauma, but the body is completely sucked dry, like an old battery with electricity drained."

"A pretty vivid description." Luther said lightly.

"This is not the point, sir." Colson said, "the point is - we have detected residual reactions suspected to be the sub-modrama virus at every site, right?"

“That seems to be what the report says.”

"Then why don't I take over?" Colson frowned and couldn't help asking, "So far, I have participated in the cases related to the 'Amodrama' project, and it has been like this since Director Fury's reign. Why is this exception?"

Luther finally turned around, with an unknown smile on his lips, looking at him with a deep and elusive gaze.

"No," he said with a smile, "maybe you just need to relax, maybe Director Fury's departure is also a signal that you can finally give yourself a small vacation. Don't think too much, Agent Colson, your work has been done well and it's all impressive. You just need to keep going. There will naturally be someone to worry about the unnecessary problems."

Colson frowned slightly, paused at the desk for several seconds, and finally turned around and left helplessly.

He had already discovered that since Lex Luther came to power, he had made it increasingly obvious that the group of people valued by former director Fury had been idle. In the past, Fury would hand over the most important matters to Colson, and the most secret tasks would be handed over to super agents like Hawkeye and Black Widow. Recently, Colson obviously found that the affairs at hand were much easier, mostly irrelevant trivial matters, and top agents like Hawkeye and Black Widow were basically treated as super thugs by Luther, and rarely handed over to them highly confidential tasks.

Lex Luther is cultivating his own confidants in the ASCHE, and even worse, maybe there are other abacuses.
