Chapter 272 The identity of Ruth

When the beta armor was forcibly removed, Eric saw Ruth's fair face and long silver hair under the armor, and was so surprised that he could hardly speak. But he could read from Ruth's expression that the other party was not as surprised as he was.

He quickly calmed down, Eric frowned slightly and asked, "So this is what you said to do in New York? Snatch beta armor?"

"No," Ruth admitted simply, "I came to New York to get this armor, and I need its strength no matter what."

"What are you going to do?" Eric asked, "Is it related to the brother you mentioned?"

"It has nothing to do with you."

"It may be, but it may not be true now." Eric said, pausing and asking, "Who are you?"

A brief silence.

Suddenly, she seemed to have unintentionally released the palm of her right hand. A small ball was pinched by her at some point in the palm of her hand and rolled down from her fingers.

The strong white light was released in an instant, and the retina was burned and painful. Eric subconsciously raised his arm to protect his eyes, and his helmet closed automatically, but his vision was temporarily paralyzed.

When the vision was restored, Ruth had already disappeared in front of him. Of course, the armor of Amodor Beta disappeared together.

Eric couldn't help but frown again, and the question came back to his heart.

Who is she?

So the weekend ended in a hurry, and it was a busy weekend for Eric. However, despite the late night of fighting last night, he still had to get up on time to go to school on Monday.

He was yawning all the way to school, not very awake, and even the part of his brain was filled with things about the girl named Ruth and beta armor, so that Riven, who was waiting for him at a certain intersection, didn't react for a while.

"Ah, sorry." Eric apologized when he finally noticed her, "I'm a little distracted, didn't notice..."

"What happened?" Riven asked.

"No."

"So...you just forgot to look at your phone?"

Look at your phone?

Only then did Eric realize that he had never looked at his phone for a busy night yesterday, and it was too late to fall asleep after he went back. He had not confirmed whether there was any new news on his phone until now.

He took out his cell phone and looked at it. Then he found that Ruiwen had called him several times last night and sent a text message asking if he had time to go to the house and agreed to have a midnight snack. Unfortunately, he hadn't looked at his cell phone since last night, so of course he did not reply to any message at all.

"Ah, I'm sorry." Eric quickly apologized, "Uh... well, there was something wrong yesterday, so I haven't had time to read the news..."

"I don't mean to blame you." Ruiwen shook his head and said, "Actually, I know every time you lie to me."

"Eh?" Eric was a little embarrassed and began to try to recall whether he had told many lies to her.

"But I know that if there is something you refuse to say, you must have your own reasons. But in fact, you don't need to hide it from me. I think you can share the burden for you no matter what it is, even if it is only a little bit."

Speaking of this, she paused for a moment, and walked forward on her own, saying, "But if you meet other girls you like, don't hide it from me. You saved me from the bound life, which is a very important person to me, but I don't have the right to force you to be with me for such reasons. I am very happy that you gave me such a life now, and trying to get more is my greed..."

These sudden words made Eric stunned, but her expression and tone were so plain that there was no fluctuation in the whole process, which made it a little difficult to digest what she said.

"Wait a minute, wait a minute..." Eric hurriedly stopped and asked awkwardly, "Do you think...I have found a new girlfriend?"

Raven didn't say anything, but it felt like he had made a default.

Eric sighed: "I really didn't expect you to think so...Okay, then I'll tell you what I'm busy with these two days."

So he told Raven all the stories about the beta armor competition these two days, starting from the first time he was stopped outside the base of ASCH in New Jersey the day before yesterday, and even the part that he met the mysterious silver-haired girl Ruth in the bar was explained.

"...it's probably all." When Eric finished speaking, the two of them came to the school gate. He finally added, "I didn't tell you that it was just because you didn't want these things to worry about you, and it was actually no big deal. There was another thing..."

He smiled slightly, caught off guard and kissed Riven on the cheek, and she looked at Eric in surprise.

"I'm a little confident." He gently hugged Ruiwen's shoulder, "I didn't choose to be with you because of some last resort. I've said it long ago, right? I like you, so I chose to help you at that time, and that mood has not changed yet."

Raven's cheeks turned a little red, and she lowered her head slightly: "Yeah, thank you."

At this time, Eric's cell phone that had just been withdrawn rang again, which was the ringtone of the text message reminder.

He took out his cell phone and glanced at the screen. He stopped and said, "Well, Sharon asked me to go to her office first. I think it was for last night. Then you go to the classroom first."

"Yes." Ruiwen nodded and walked away first.

When Eric pushed the door into Sharon Carter's office, the beautiful blonde agent was sitting at the desk in casual professional attire, but his expression was quite serious.

"Tell me if you have anything, I'm very busy." Eric threw his schoolbag on the sofa where he was entertaining guests, raised his legs and sat on the chair in front of the desk. He didn't look like the student invited by the teacher to talk to, but instead looked like the leader who came to inspect the work.

Sharon said seriously: "I have seen what happened last night in the report. We have also got a clue about the identity of the silver-haired woman who snatched the Armodor Beta armor."

"Oh? Who is she?" This is indeed the question Eric is most concerned about now.

"Her name is Ruth Wilson."

Wilson? Is this the last name Ruth said she didn't want to mention? It doesn't sound like a very distinctive surname. At least it can't remind Eric of who the bastard dad she mentioned was.

Eric's confused expression was obviously expected, and Sharon continued: "Of course, maybe you are not familiar with this name, which is normal. But you may have heard of her dad's name - Sred Wilson, international code name, Death Knell."

For a moment, Eric was stunned. If there was a mirror in front of him, he would have thought that his shocked expression in the mirror would definitely look funny.

Death knell!?This girl is...death knell's daughter!?
