Chapter 3 It turns out to be waste wood
Phil held an old magic wand in his hand and shouted at the open space: "Firewall!"
"Huh!" A row of burning fire appeared on the ground, but Phil shook his head in dissatisfaction, because this was not a successful firewall technique. The rising flame was less than half a meter, and it was obviously impossible to form a "wall".
"This kind of firewall can only be used for barbecue! It is impossible to block the enemy." Phil sighed lightly.
According to the records in the book, the firewall technique must be at least two meters high, so that it can be considered successful. The firewall technique used by Phil cannot even meet the passing standards.
"I am a junior magician after all, so I can't release a firewall technique and chant it! Try something else..."
Phil brewed magic, then waved his wand and shouted at the open space: "Earth Wall Technique!"
The next second, a row of mounds rose from the ground. The height of the mound was probably impossible to stop even a dog. It was obvious that Phil's earth wall technique turned into "mound technique".
Phil looked at the mound with a pale face and said to himself: "It's not a good deal. For the junior magician, earth wall technique is not difficult. Is it really like Harry said that my magical talent is relatively mediocre? The reason I learned it quickly before was because the content was too simple."
The old servant Harry walked over with a basket, and Phil didn't realize it until he approached him.
"Young Master, it's time to have lunch." Harry walked over and sat on the mound. While taking out the food from the basket, he kept nagging: "The last time I saw the young master practicing magic so hard was three years ago!"
"I used to be very hard-working?" Phil asked.
Harry smiled kindly and then continued, "The young master is obsessed with alchemy and has never been very concerned about the study of magic."
"That's why my magic level is so bad? Even a terrestrial wall technique can't be completed?" Phil pointed to the mound under his butt.
"Is this earth wall technique? Young Master, your earth wall technique has regressed again." Old Harry said very directly.
"Harry, don't ridicule me. I have decided to practice magic hard. Is there any way you can help me?" Phil asked.
The old servant Harry thought for a while and said, "Master, you also took a lot of notes when you were in the magic school. I will go back and look for it, and maybe it will help you."
"The notes in class must be the focus of the teacher's lecture! This is a shortcut." Phil rekindled his confidence.
...
Harry appeared in front of Phil with a pile of thick notebooks.
"I still remember a lot!" Phil took the top one casually, and before he could open it, a transcript fell out of the notebook.
"Is this my transcript? Pass, fail, pass, fail... Why do I have so many subjects that fail!" Phil said angrily.
"Well, there are always students in every class who are not good at studying." Harry spread his hands.
"Okay, I'm the poor student... Hey, I have excellent grades in one subject, it's alchemy!" Phil said in surprise.
"Master, alchemy is an elective course." Harry reminded.
"I failed the compulsory courses, but the elective courses are excellent. What did I do when I was in school?" Phil said with some anger.
"Young Master has always been obsessed with alchemy. When it comes to living expenses you give you, most of the living expenses you spend on buying alchemy materials. You always say that as long as you can study the legendary technique of making stones into gold, it is worth it." Harry said.
"Direct stones into gold? Has anyone done this?" Phil asked.
Harry shook his head: "Directing stones into gold is the ideal of every alchemist, but no one has succeeded, so this is just a legendary technique."
Phil nodded, he roughly understood his personality.
The down-and-out nobles have no magical talent, do not study hard, and are still very optimistic about being a human being. They spend all day engaging in illusory things like "turning stones into gold", dreaming of getting rich overnight. The useless attributes possessed by the second generation ancestor were basically collected by him!
"I didn't expect that I was a useless person who achieved nothing!" Phil smiled self-deprecatingly. For a successful entrepreneur, he was once a winner in life, and his personality was so ironic.
The old servant Harry next to him put the notebook on the table and said, "Master, when I was looking for notes, I also found some of your achievements in studying alchemy. Do you want to go and see it? If it is useless, why not throw it away!"
"I still have the results of alchemy? Well, let's go and have a look." Phil put down the notebook in his hand and followed Harry out of the room.
There are several large wooden boxes outside, and there are all kinds of strange things in the boxes, some bottles and jars, which contain some unknown substances, some materials that cannot be named, and some products that have been made after alchemy. As for gold, there is not a gram.
"Young Master, I've actually planned to throw away these things for a long time, but you have spent a lot of money on these things over the years, so I didn't dare to deal with them without authorization." Harry said.
Phil picked up an irregularly shaped cube, pinched it hard, and then put it on his nose and smelled it.
"Is this the product of the failure of the alchemy experiment? This thing feels so much like rubber!"
Phil picked up another piece of unknown substance, which was a little light, like plastic, and a piece of cut solid next to it looked like resin.
"It seems that the alchemists in this world are like chemists on Earth. In the process of studying alchemy, many new materials have been born. Unfortunately, what the world needs is great magicians, not great chemists!"
...
Phil accepted reality again. He was not a magician with outstanding talent. With his magical talent, it was difficult to become an intermediate magician, and it was impossible to become a great magician.
"The road to becoming a great magician has been blocked. If I want to live more nourishing in this world, I have to think of other ways."
Phil was thinking about how to move forward in the future. The old servant Harry appeared quietly in front of Phil with a cup of coffee.
The two of them exchanged a few greetings, and then Harry asked, "Master, I see that your health has recovered. Are you planning to go back and continue your studies next?"
"I almost forgot if you don't say it. I'm still a student from the Kingdom Magic Academy, where I have been learning magic for ten years." Phil responded.
"Young Master, since you were injured before, I helped you with the leave of absence. Now you are on leave and you don't have to pay the tuition fee. But if you want to go back and continue your studies, you have to bring the tuition fee for the next semester." Harry continued to explain.
"Is the tuition expensive?" Phil asked.
Harry nodded: "Master, if you want to continue to go to school, we can only sell the tavern. But this is the last property of the Knight family. If we sell the tavern, we will only have this house left."
"Since it is the family's last property, it must not be sold easily." Phil replied.
"Young Master, you have never hesitated to sell your family industry before you were injured. You have been saying that as long as you can develop the technology of turning stones into gold, no matter how much property you sell, you can buy it again..." Harry said with relief.
"This second generation ancestor is really a puppy and doesn't feel sorry for selling his land." Phil sighed lightly, then changed his voice and asked, "Harry, is the business in the tavern good?"
The old servant Harry sighed helplessly: "It's not very good, especially a year ago, a new tavern was opened in our Luoye Town, and our business plummeted."
"Then take me to the tavern to have a look." Phil said.
Harry was stunned for a moment, and then he said, "Young Master, you never paid attention to family business in the past."
"That's the past." Phil smiled slightly and continued, "What's more, doing business is my strength!"
