Chapter 52: Dancing with the Devil

The beautiful and neat campus is silent. A white teaching building stands in the campus. There are tall flagpoles in front of the building, and the star-striped flags and the bear flag representing California fluttering in the wind.

In the seat next to the window in a classroom, Carrie Mulligan subconsciously turned the ballpoint pen with his right hand, held up his chin with his left hand, and stared blankly at the flagpole through the glass. It seemed that the big brown bear on the state flag was more attractive than the handsome male teacher on the podium.

"It's so boring." She said to herself, "I don't know how Murphy is doing."

Leaving the crew, Carrie Mulligan felt like she had become a bird in the cage, and freedom and dreams left her again.

When will Murphy be able to save himself? This thought couldn't help but appear in Carey Mulligan's mind.

In an instant, the pattern on the state flag she was staring at changed, and the brown bear turned into a person, with short stubble, hard facial contours, deep eyes, tall and strong body... Oh, and a few faint scars on his face, which made him look so unique.

More importantly, he is understanding and passionate, and can always solve all obstacles and problems.

For some reason, Carey Mulligan felt that he wanted to fly to the northern basin of the San Fernando Valley, even if he took a look and came back.

"Carry Mulligan..." The male teacher noticed her abnormality, "Carry Mulligan!"

The girl was intoxicated by her fantasy, how could she hear the sounds outside?

The male teacher called out a few times, and a girl behind her stretched out her feet and kicked her chair hard. Carrie Mulligan came to his senses and stood up quickly.

"Uh..." Carrie Mulligan looked around, looked around, and was at a loss.

"Carry Mulligan," said the male teacher at this time, "please tell me the origin of the California state flag."

As a British man, how could she care about the origin of the California state flag? Her lips turned her back twice and she could only say helplessly, "I'm sorry."

Although the male teacher did not make things difficult for her, after sitting down, Carey Mulligan's face collapsed again, poking the textbook with a ballpoint pen, hating the school that bound freedom to the extreme.

"If this continues, I will definitely go crazy!"

She shook her head, looked down at the desk, and waited in pain for the end of get out of class time to arrive.

The ringtone finally rang. The male teacher had just left the classroom. The girl who reminded her from behind stood up and came here, and asked curiously, "Carry, what are you thinking? She has been distracted today."

Carey Mulligan threw the ballpoint pen on the table and said angrily, "Nothing."

The girl seemed to have a good relationship with her, and suddenly changed into a gossiping tone, "Can't it be... your first love has arrived?"

Carrey Mulligan was stunned.

Seeing her expression, the girl's gossip was even better. She grabbed her hand and asked hurriedly, "Who is he? How is his first love feeling? Where have you gone? Have you ever slept together?"

This series of questions made Carrey Mulligan not know how to answer. Fortunately, another classmate's voice sounded at the door of the classroom, "Carrey, someone is looking for you!"

Carey Mulligan quickly broke free from the girl's hand and ran out. In the corridor outside the classroom, agent Bill Roses was waiting outside the door.

When she saw the agent, she hurriedly asked, "When can we go to the crew?"

"I've asked you for leave." Bill Roses pointed to the classroom behind her, "Go back to pack up, I'll wait for you outside the campus."

The dying Carrey Mulligan instantly resurrected with full blood, screamed excitedly, and turned around and rushed back to the classroom.

The crew is the life she wants, there is her character, her soul, and a Murphy who is very, very good to her.

With Carey Mulligan back on the crew and Murphy's work back on track, he had finished all James Franco's separate shots in the previous few days, and the rest of the scenes are Hayley and Jeff.

The crew is running smoother. Although there are problems of one kind or another, Murphy can always find a suitable solution to the film's extremely small scale. Even if the setter and lighting master are mediocre, it is still possible to act as his assistant temporarily.

I have to say that James Franko. He is still very young now and his acting skills are far from reaching the level of future. However, it is enough to deal with such a B-level film. He can even be said to be the most stable part of the entire crew during the filming process.

Moreover, after Carey Mulligan returned to the crew, James Franco was always ignorant or unintentionally avoiding her except for working hours. It seemed that the last incident left a psychological shadow.

The entire shooting process was tortuous, but with the incentive of salary, everyone could surround Murphy and work forward together.

Murphy is also examining his employees. Although the success or failure of the film is unknown, he is also preparing for the possible next plan. Building a relatively stable team is an indispensable part of every director's growth.

The abilities of the lighting and the setter are really average. If it weren't for the limited time of funds and no choice, Murphy wouldn't have used them. These two people are not in the ranks of his cooperation again.

To be precise, besides makeup artist Jack Watson and active intern Paul Wilson, others will go back wherever they come from.

Unlike others who continued to stay in Hollywood, Jessica Chastain planned to finish the filming, so she temporarily ended her internship and returned to New York to complete her final studies at the Juilliard School of Art.

After several months of preparation and shooting, she has also accumulated some experience in film production, especially Murphy, who has seen many mistakes and has been constantly correcting herself, and has truly understood the difficulty of success in this industry.

The crew ushered in the filming of the last scene, and everyone else was excited, but Jessica Chastain stood calmly in the corner, watching James Franco, covered in plasma, beating the final torture by Carrey Mulligan, who was also plagued by blood.

Originally, she also had a role in the filming, but Murphy temporarily decided to cancel it.

The bright eyes blocked under the red bangs turned to Murphy who was photographing with the camera. There was a little bit of complexity inside, and it was difficult for Jessica Chastain to explain his mood.

In order to succeed, this person does everything he can to do as long as he does not cross the boundaries of the law.

Even, she felt that she was affected.

Fortunately, she will leave after getting her salary, and there should be no cooperation in the future.
