Chapter 186 Christmas Gifts and Holidays

"Oh, don't tell me-" Hermione lamented, "Are you encouraging Harry to violate the school rules and go to Hogsmeade Village? Don't forget that there is another Sirius running around! It's not safe outside..."

"Don't be stupid, Hermione," said Fred.

"Sirius would not appear in Hogsmeade Village. Don't forget what Professor Lyle just said, there are dementors everywhere in the place." George said with a wink.

"And I think Harry is good to go to Hogsmeade Village now. He will fall in love with it. Think about it, if you go through the normal path, you will have to wait for two years!"

"Oh, you can't, you can't do this..." Hermione's uneasy little hands pulled the corner of her clothes and bit her lower lip tightly. She wanted to stop them, but she was sad to find that she had no position at all and could not occupy the moral high ground. The last time she and Lyle went to Hogsmeade Village, she happened to be caught by the Weasley twin brothers.

Forget it, since Lyle didn't say anything, don't meddle in other people's business. The little girl thought indignantly, but she obviously didn't feel much willing to see her expression.

"By the way, it seems we need to play Quidditch before the holiday, right?" Fred suddenly interrupted, "The opponent seems to be from the Ravenclaw team, but the ball seeker seems to be a newcomer... Wood hopes that we will take some time to train a few times in the past few days... What Wood just told us."

"Oh my god, Wood must be crazy..." Ron looked at the heavy snow that had just fluttered outside the window, couldn't help but shrink his neck and approached the fire.

Lavenclaw's new goalkeeper? Pei Chen's heart moved slightly and remembered someone's figure.

...

...

Time flies, after all, the net has been cast, and the next thing is to prepare to close the net without doing too many actions.

However, the quiet before the storm came was simply a joke, because something happened one after another—

First of all, the day before the Quidditch game, two more students were attacked, but I don’t know if someone deliberately manipulated it or something. They both escaped and saved their lives due to some very coincidental reasons, but they were petrified like Professor Lockhart. Mrs. Sprout didn’t say anything about this. Anyway, there was not much difference between one medicine and three medicines.

It won't be much heavy in terms of workload.

Some of the Dementors were hungry and broke into the court during the Quidditch game, causing panic. Harry fell off the broom and broke his calf bone. Gryffindor lost to Ravenclaw, and even widened the score gap by more than 100 points.

Originally, this game was pretty sure to win, because the Ravenclaw team's goalkeeper was a new girl. Yes, it was Qiu Zhang. Because time was tight, they obviously didn't get into it well. Even Ravenclaw Academy itself felt that it had no chance of winning, but I just hoped that the score would not be pulled too far, but I didn't expect that such a thing would happen, and the roundabout way would happen.

This made Wood kneel on the court in despair and humiliation for more than an hour before being knocked out by the twin brothers and dragged him back. A big bag appeared on his forehead. Professor McGonagall expressed his gratitude for their attack on his classmates. Although she also felt that it was really annoying that Wood was stupid in such weather, she still fairly punished the twin brothers to go to the hospital to clean the chamber pot.

However, the atmosphere in the castle was indeed panicked, and everyone started to be in danger. Not to mention girls, even boys had to go to the bathroom in groups to dare to set off. It is conceivable that they were scared.

By the way, when Harry fell down, the flying broom was almost blown to the beating willow in the middle of the Forbidden Forest by the strong wind. If it weren't for being intercepted by Professor Frieve, I'd be afraid that the 2,000 light wheel would have been crushed on the spot.

After hearing this news, Pei Chen was just a little surprised and stopped caring too much. After all, in his eyes, Harry was covered with various detection magic, location magic and guardian magic traces, which shows that Harry was almost always under Dumbledore's surveillance or even control, so how could something happen?

Pei Chen even had reason to suspect that this accident was manipulated by the old fox.

...

...

"Merry Christmas, Harry!"

When he woke up the next morning, the first thing Harry saw was a small pile of packages at the foot of his bed. Ron's red furry head was right in front of him, and he blessed him with sleepy eyes.

"Merry Christmas." Harry mumbled, then fumbled out of bed and put on his dressing gown.

"Come and have a look, I have received a few gifts!"

"What do you think you'll receive? Cabbage?" Ron said, making a joke, then turned to his own pile of packages, which were much larger than Harry's. Apparently, Ron's friends came with more than Harry's.

Harry was happily preparing to start removing the gifts, and for a moment he even forgot the frustration of Quidditch's loss in the game. You know, he had been depressed for a long time before, and even his calf bone was broken without much attention.

Harry picked up the paper bag on the top. It was wrapped in thick kraft paper on it, and the words "Hagir to Harry" were written in a flying wind. Inside was a flute with a very rough workmanship, which was obviously made by Hager himself. Harry blew it a little—the sound was a bit like an owl.

There is a note in the second small paper bag—

"We have received your letter with a Christmas gift to you. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Penny"

And what was glued to the strips with clear tape was a fifty-pence coin.

"It's quite friendly," said Harry. However, Ron seemed to be fascinated by the Muggle coin. Harry simply handed over fifty pence to him, which made Ron feel a little ecstatic.

"Terminated by Hagrid, given by Aunt and Uncle - So who gave these?" Harry pointed at the remaining packages with some confusion, a little confused.

"I think I know who gave this one," Ron said, blushing slightly, pointing at a bulging paper bag.

"It's my mom. I said to her, you don't think you're going to receive a gift--oh, terrible," he moaned, "She knitted you a sweater that's unique to the Weasleys."

Harry pulled open the paper bag and saw a thick bright green hand-knitted sweater and a large box of homemade cream fudge. "She's so good." Harry said, tasting a cream fudge, which tasted very sweet.

Next was a pair of glasses given by Professor Lupin. There was nothing visible on the outside, but it was very sturdy and extremely clear in the view. It also applied many constant effects of spells such as "waterproof and moisture-proof" because when Harry fell down on the broom before, the original glasses broke.

Hermione sent a large box of horseshoe-shaped chocolates, and Ron also had them.

Ron said jealously: "You don't know. Hermione had already gone out just now. I saw her in the common room... You would never have thought that she had received any gifts - Professor Lyle actually prepared her a whole month of travel vacation in European countries! No wonder she had to go home, but in the end she changed her mind and stayed. She turned out to be planning to go out with Professor Lyle..."

Seeing Ron's eyes red with jealous eyes, Harry laughed a few times, wisely not saying anything, just asked, "Don't you take off the gift? There are some more, maybe Professor Lyle gave you some valuable gifts?"

"How is it possible? Professor Lyle and I are not familiar with each other..." Ron waved his hand in a bad mood, no longer interested. The thing he feared the most was comparison. Compared with Hermione Granger's gift, the gifts from others were nothing. But the gifts still had to be opened. He dragged them for a while and then went to unpack them.

"Huh? Who sent this? Why didn't there be any note?" After Harry opened the box, he found that a slender black leather box had fallen out of it, with a line of silver words printed on it: Feitian broom repair tool box.

"Wow, Merlin is on!" Harry whispered, unzipping the box and looking at what's inside.

Inside is a large jar of Fretwood brand highly perfect broom polish, a pair of silver-glittered broom twig shears, a tiny brass compass that can be worn on a broom for long trips, and a "Flying Broom Care Manual".

"It's strange. Who sent it, there wasn't even a note." Although Harry felt that his mood had improved completely in an instant, he had doubts about who was the one who gave the gift. Could it be Professor Lyle?

But just as this thought arose in his mind, he saw Professor Lyle's gift. After opening it, he found that it was the same flying broom repair tool box, which was very exquisite.

"Okay, it seems not Professor Lyle..." Harry shook his head and looked at the last package. Harry picked it up and touched it. It was very light. Just as he was about to take it apart, he suddenly heard Ron's ecstatic scream, and his hand shook, and the paper bag fell off.

Something like liquid, silver-gray thing slid down to the floor, gathering into a pile, shining.

...

...

"Let me see what you gave me..."

After Pei Chen opened the gift packaging with a smile, his expression instantly solidified.

Hermione held back her smile and looked at him with expressionless expression on her face. Not to mention anything else, if she was an ordinary person, if she ate all the chocolates in this amount, she would have to grow at least two pounds of meat to match that calories.

"But I really have very few friends, just a few..."

Pei Chen glanced at the package on the ground and suddenly said something like this.

"No, isn't this a lot?" Hermione looked at the pile of gifts that were high in hills, and she didn't understand what definition he said was "many friends". At least it must be a gift that is close to three-digit numbers!

"Ha, Hermione, you're still too young. Could it be that someone gave you a gift and that's a friend?" Pei Chen shook his head and smiled, "Most of the gifts here are courteous. I really want to say how much they have...tsk tsk."

Pei Chen said, picking out Dumbledore's gift from it and quickly unpacked it. As a result, there was only a slender, fiery red tail feather inside, with a faint but clear heat coming out of it, which was obviously the feather on Fox's body.

Regardless of Hermione's surprised eyes, Pei Chen despised Lao Deng's behavior of pursuing flowers to respect Buddha.
