Chapter 02 The Blue Enchantress
When the lion woman's eyes swept through the forest, behind a dense bush a few miles away from the orc camp, several pairs of eyes were also staring at every move in the camp.
"It's really rare for women from the lion clan!" A strong man spat the four-leaf clover in his mouth on the ground.
The man squatting behind the bushes was wearing a gray cloak that looked worn and a worn half-legged armor covered with scars. His short golden hair, a beard, and a long scar that reached the corner of his mouth to the bottom of his eyes made him look fierce.
The leader of the "Blue Ape Mercenary Group", Cairns, is a mysterious man. Five years ago, he and his mercenary group seemed to appear out of thin air in the border area of the Isaac Kingdom, and they grew from the lowest level of G-level mercenary group to the B-level mercenary group in just five years. It was rumored as a miracle within the Mercenary Union of the Belland Continent.
The level of a mercenary group depends entirely on the points of the mission, and the more it goes, the more difficult it is. During the non-war period, a newly formed mercenary group will be promoted to the ranks of advanced mercenary groups above the level C level. Nowadays, mercenary groups above the level B level in various human countries are almost all old mercenary groups with a history of more than decades, except for Blue Ape.
"Boss, have we posted this time?" A small man lying on the ground beside Cairns asked in a low voice.
"We should be lucky in the Blue Virgin. I didn't expect that this kind of C-level mission would happen to hit an orc tribe. Eat them and we will have no worries about eating and drinking for a year." Cairns also looked excited.
"Are you two crazy? There is a small orc tribe below. We only had more than thirty people this time. Once discovered, these orcs swallowed us up." A cold voice poured a basin of cold water on Cairns.
The person who spoke was a woman in a black hooded robe behind the man, and a silver hexagram at the collar of the robe showed her identity as an intermediate magician.
Magicians are rare professions on the Belland continent and are the targets of various kingdoms and large forces, while female magicians above the middle level are even rarer.
The female magician is in her thirties, with long flax hair, blue eyes, a high nose bridge, and a soft face. Perhaps because of her years in the wild, her skin looks a little rough.
Cairns turned around and grinned at the female magician, "Don't worry, Adelin, our brothers in the Blue Evil are all elite mercenaries, and hunting orcs is the best. Even if there are twice as many orcs, they can swallow them."
"I don't agree, it's too risky." Adeline's tone was still firm.
"I am the leader of the regiment, you can just obey the orders. Then you will get one more share of the spoils."
"I am also the deputy leader of the Mercenary Group. I also have to be responsible for the safety of my brothers. You are doing it recklessly!"
"I also appointed you as the deputy leader. If you were not promoted to B-level mercenary group and required that there must be intermediate or above magicians in the team, I would not have paid such a big price to invite you?" Keynes looked indifferent.
"If you insist on doing it recklessly, I will quit the group now!" Adeline did not compromise at all.
"Don't be so impulsive? Listen to me to explain it to you." Keynes took the lead in compromise.
He used all his skills to invite Adeline to join the mercenary group, and the combat power of an intermediate magician team was directly improved to a higher level, so he naturally couldn't bear to leave Adeline.
"You don't know them even if you deal with orcs. Orcs usually form tribes based on ethnic groups. For example, there will never be orcs from other ethnic groups in a werewolf tribe. There is only one possibility for orcs from the lower camp to live in, that is, the tribe of high-level orc nobles. Only nobles can recruit orc warriors from other tribes to serve themselves." Cairns pointed to the orc camp below and explained patiently.
"Did you see the cubs and female orcs in the camp? This shows that they are a fleeing orc noble tribe who was crippled. They appeared here by chance for special reasons. The number of real orc warriors in the camp is very small, and their real combat power is not even half that of ordinary orc tribes."
Adeline's admirational gaze was unnatural, and she had long discovered that the man with a rough appearance in front of her was actually very thoughtful. For example, now, he inferred the origin and combat power of the orc camp below from a distance only from a long distance observation.
Seeing Adeline's shaken expression, Cairns continued: "Orc martial arts, rare materials, weapons and armor, golden herbs, an orc noble camp has more wealth than you imagined! You know that the mercenary group needs money now, and I owe half the reward I promised you? What we mercenaries do are adventure professions. If we don't dare to fight to the death, how can we support women and children?"
Adeline nodded and finally stopped objecting.
"Boss, after doing this, you should change your equipment, right? Our Blue Magician is also a dignified B-level mercenary group. Because of your equipment, other mercenaries always laugh at us as a countryman." The small man muttered in a low voice.
Keynes hit the little man heavily on the head, "Tony, you know nothing! My leather armor is an excellent enchanted leather armor, and it can't break the defense even if it attacks. This cloak is a dragon-skinned person. You guys who don't know anything!"
"Dragon skin? Let's brag, how many years have you not seen the shadow of a dragon on the mainland?" Tony curled his lips in dissatisfaction.
The bushes suddenly made a slight sound.
The two men immediately stopped bickering. Cairns placed one hand on the hilt of the big sword behind him. A fireball instantly formed in Adeline's palm. Tony rolled to the side and disappeared into the bushes.
A thin man in hunting suit showed his figure. His eyes were bright and sharp, and he had two neat beards on his upper lip.
Keynes withdrew his hand on the hilt of the sword, "Angus, how is the situation below?"
Angus said slowly and slowly: "The number of orc warriors is no more than fifty, most of which are low-level orcs at level one and two, including the female lion and her two guards. I found five middle-level orc warriors, but no higher-level orc warriors existed."
Keynes waved his fist excitedly, "It's true that I guess!"
Angusliu hesitated for a moment, "The only thing that is somewhat troublesome is that there is a team of wolf cavalry in the camp. I'm afraid that as soon as we get close to the camp, their wolf will smell it."
Cairns smiled softly, "Tony, it's your turn to come on, I know you have a solution."
"I went to the forest to find some wild chrysanthemums. The smoke produced by burning with the three-color mandala can smoke all the beasts." Tony's voice disappeared directly into the bushes.
"Okay! Let the brothers gather together, and we will take action when it gets dark." Keynes's eyes flashed with a strong murderous intent.
