Chapter 16 Lesinsky

April 6, 1703, Danze County, sunny.

A few wisps of smoke rose up, and in a village by the sea, a group of soldiers with live ammunition were having dinner. Strictly speaking, the place where they were is no longer the original area of the Gdansk Free City, but in Poland, and has even penetrated more than ten kilometers deep.

From their uniforms and outfits, we can see that this is a group of soldiers from the east coast, with a population of about twenty, almost a platoon. If you know anything about current affairs, you can even know that they come from a unit with the number 4th Mixed Regiment. The leader of the regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Yang Chengdong, has been frequently commenting in newspapers recently. He is a very active officer who is in charge of Gdansk Free City. Well, now he has changed his name to Danze County and has the power of life and death for tens of thousands of residents.

All 5,000 people from the Fourth Mixed Regiment came to Danze County, including the artillery that was particularly strengthened before leaving. The reason why they were so cautious was mainly the offensive remarks made by Polish King Lesinsky. Poland needed an estuary, but he was supported by the Swedes. It is impossible to say that going to the Swedes to have an estuary. Fairly, the Kingdom of Sweden is probably the country with the longest coastline on the southern coast of Poland, and most of them are just a small narrow and narrow territory along the coast, but it blocked other countries from obtaining the estuary, which seemed very eye-catching and very cheap.

Lesinsky did not dare to make demands on his master, so he could only find a way to get the free city of Gdansk. Once this matter was successful, the Polish Lithuanian Federation could not only obtain an outlet, but also have great economic significance. The Lesins basics could also obtain huge political capital, and the throne could be relatively stable. Many Polish nobles still had patriotic enthusiasm. They hated the vulgar Russians. It was obvious that you have always bullied the Russians for history. They hated the pagan Turks, the barbaric Swedes, the capricious villains Prussians, and in short, hated all those who caused harm to them. Now, the East Coast people were added to this list, a new continent country that snatched their only outlet.

There is a reason for the Poles to hate the East Coast people. It can be traced back to the large number of Polish slaves captured by the Crimean Tatars, and for this reason the two countries once cut off trade ties. And don’t forget that the East Coast government has supported the Turks and Tatars who believe in the Green Church from beginning to end. Both countries have brought great pain to the Kingdom of Poland. Now there are new crimes, and they actually took away the only Polish estuary, Gdansk. How dare they!

Gdansk's "tragic situation" was also spreading to Warsaw and Krakow and other core cities in Poland, which aroused the anger of many people. The Gdansk Free City Council was brutally disbanded, and the citizens who opposed the East Coast were brutally suppressed. Nearly 100 people died under the butcher knife of the East Coast people (when they were spread to Warsaw, they had become East Coast people who massacred tens of thousands of Polish residents). This is not counting. After a few months of direct rule by Gdansk, the Fourth Mixed Regiment of the East Coast Army directly attacked, expanding east and south, occupying a lot of land, and directly expanded their controlled area from more than 100 square kilometers to more than 300. Many Polish nobles ran to Warsaw crying and asking King Lesinsky to uphold justice, because the East Coast people disbanded their private armed forces and declared that this was the East Coast territory, requiring them to pay taxes and obey the laws of the East Coast.

Lesinsky was furious when he learned the news. Before he could come to trouble the East Coast people, the East Coast people actually started to mess with them first! Now the king of Poland is me, you are really bullying! So Lesinsky did not care about the fierce battle and resolutely assembled a noble coalition, and then, he went to consult his father. As a result, the Swedish father had just sold a section of the coastline from the Gdansk Free City to the west bank of the Vistula River to the East Coast people in exchange for 10,000 flintlock rifles and fifty artillery. In this case, Charles XII naturally would not allow Lesinsky to cause trouble at will, and asked him to rectify his troops and prepare for a war with August.

Lesinsky was naturally very angry. He returned to Warsaw and discussed with the nobles and his staff for a while, but in the end he was still timid. The Swedish father couldn't afford to offend him, and his throne was still given by Charlie Twelve to charge for phone bills. Uh, no, he was given by defeating August. If he was evil about the king of the Shang Kingdom because of the East Coast people, it would be really not worth it.

However, not seeking revenge on the East Coast does not mean that Lesinsky will not make small moves in private. He first found the nobles and military officials who fled from Gdansk, gave them weapons and funds, and asked them to find ways to recruit people and fight against the East Coast people. The amount of funds and weapons is large enough to arm thousands of people. In Lesinsky's view, it is enough to give the East Coast people a pot.

Of course we all know that this is Lesinsky's imagination. In fact, these rush-armed Polish troops were very naughty. Although they had the advantage of familiarizing themselves with geography and people's conditions, they were defeated after fighting with the Fourth Mixed Regiment: In November 1702, more than 2,000 people led by Pavelciko were defeated on the banks of the Vistula River, and the desperate Poles jumped into the river, with heavy casualties; in January 1703, Vischeko led more than 1,000 troops in a village more than ten kilometers south of Gdansk.

When the camping of Zili, the East Coast Army came to the snowy night, and was wiped out after a bayonet attack. In March 1703, Olesinsky led more than 2,000 people across the Vistula River and attacked the farms built by the people on the East Coast who seized the land of the fleeing nobles, but was intercepted by the Fourth Mixed Regiment. After a war, the entire army was wiped out. It is worth mentioning that in the above three wars, the losses of the East Coast people were minimal, and the number of casualties was only about 200, and the damage to the Poles was not on the same level as the Poles.

Lesinsky was also very surprised at the combat effectiveness of the East Coast people. This old man had never fought with the East Coast people. He used to think that the Turkish army was already a powerful army in the world. Later, when he encountered the extremely brave Swedish army, he immediately knelt down unconditionally. Now he found that the East Coast army was so capable! He actually defeated three troops in a row, totaling 6,000 troops. Although most of them were second-rate troops temporarily recruited (with some veterans), they could not compare with the "elite" he had in his hands, but they could win such a series of great victory without exaggerating the enemy's casualties (you know, exaggerate the enemy's casualties to avoid being too embarrassed). It is enough to prove that this is a strong combat force and cannot be easily provoked. Lesinsky was once again cowardly.

However, he did not dare to negotiate peace with the East Coast people directly, which would shake his political foundation. So, after thinking about it, he decided not to send large players to count Gdansk, and instead let the local nobles contact the Poles living in Gdansk, and asked him to provide information secretly. Then, with dozens of people (at most no more than a hundred people), they quickly entered and exited, and attacked local East Coast officials, technical talents, merchants and even ordinary immigrants.

It should be said that Lesinsky's move was quite effective. He correctly played his own advantages and minimized the losses. At the same time, it also made the East Coast army exhausted and the security situation finally turned irresistible. The East Coast Army, which was cooking in this village, was chasing a group of Polish bandits. The group of people looked like more than 30 people and attacked a farm run by the Danze County Government, killing and injuring four Indian workers working in the fields. After hearing the news, the nearby army outpost quickly dispatched, killing several bandits, then biting the group all the way, and killing several more people until the remaining bandits fled into the desert meadow that was taller than people.

The platoon leader who led the team was in trouble and simply led his troops to withdraw. During the battles along the way, they did not kill one person, but killed seven Polish bandits, which was enough to make those people feel better. But he also knew that these people were actually endless and could never be killed! Unless you face the source and destroy the pseudo-government that destroyed Warsaw, yes, it was Lesinsky's pseudo-government. The East Coast people always believed that this was a puppet of the Swedes to facilitate Charles XII's army to exploit Poland.

But it is not a simple matter to destroy Lesinsky. The number of thousands of people in the Fourth Mixed Regiment alone is not enough. When we go to Warsaw, we are mostly flat on land, which is conducive to the Poles' cavalry driving, and is not very beneficial to the East Coast people. Moreover, the Fourth Mixed Regiment cannot attack the entire army, and at least more than 1,000 people must be left to guard our hometown, right? The force is a bit too large. It is best to have another regiment of troops, which is almost stable.

The reinforcements of this additional regiment cannot be the Sixth Mixed Regiment, which has also had a good combat mission. It can only be the first Mixed Regiment that has almost left the local area at this moment, which is commonly known as the "Yane Regiment". Only when they arrive at Danze successfully and the two armies are united, can they draw thousands of troops and attack Huanglong and completely lie down the clown Lesinsky.
