They follow the trend and intervene in it, only looking at the surface. Most people can't figure out what they are doing.
First, we need to start with the reincarnation of the Mahayana Heavenly Vow. Let’s first introduce the difference between the fruit of Buddha and the achievements of Taoist Golden Immortals. It is hard to say which one is higher or lower. However, the conditions for achieving the Bodhisattva’s fruit are more special than seeking to achieve the achievement of the Golden Immortals.
When you have reached the level of cultivation, you will have the vow to go through the heavenly tribulation of the transformation of the spirit platform and have the achievements of opening up the spiritual platform. This is what Taoist calls the achievement of the Golden Immortal, which is simple and clear. However, if you seek to realize the fruit position of the Buddhist Bodhisattva, you must save the great wish that has saved people, and only after you have completed your practice can you succeed. If you want to say the difference, the achievement of the Golden Immortal may be just practicing on your own, but achieving the fruit position of the Bodhisattva is not a matter of one person.
The cultivation of Mahayana Heaven has achieved similar achievements as the Golden Immortals. The so-called "Mahayana Heaven" is an immortal world that he extended and opened up in the Pure Land of the Buddha Kingdom. It is both a temple and a Dharma name. However, this kind of cultivation is different from the Taoist Golden Immortals after all. The Mahayana Heaven Immortal World is just his exclusive spiritual platform. Others can enter but cannot build a place of practice, and they cannot extend and open it together. This kind of fruit position is called "Each Heaven" in Buddhism. Thinking about Wei Tuotian and Mr. Xiong who were back then, there is also this kind of cultivation level.
The Mahayana Heaven wants to attain the Bodhisattva fruit, and the great wishes made is that Buddhism is great practice in the Middle Earth, which is of course impeccable for Buddhist monks. The time he chose the land was very coincidental, just when Li Tang established the country and conferred Taoism as his ancestors, and Taoism became great practice in the Middle Earth. This planted the seeds of disputes among various sects, but it did not attract everyone's attention at that time.
It is difficult for the masters of the fairy world to simply say whether they have a fighting spirit, but there must be a discriminating spirit. On the one hand, they can become friends to verify the similarities between practice, and on the other hand, there is indeed a difference in the final destination of practice. What people in the world believe in seems to have no impact on the fairy world, but in fact it is quite involved.
After the practitioner transcends the cycle of life and death, he has opened up the earthly realm, such as the Heavenly Court. With the achievements of the Golden Immortals, he can open up a fairy realm by himself, and transform it with the spiritual platform's wishes and heart. However, the Golden Immortals are also limited by magic power and "seeing and knowing". Most Golden Immortals do not separate the world from heaven and earth, but come to the vast fairy realm that has been opened. On this basis, it extends to open up the fairy cave heaven and connect it with the original fairy realm.
As mentioned in the previous article, there are two great benefits to doing this: one is to be able to appreciate the creation of the immortals in the fairy world, to make up for the shortcomings of their own knowledge in their own practice, and the other is to be able to make up for the connection between immortals and to share things that cannot be created in the fairy world. The original master of the earth's immortal world was also very happy. The immortal world was originally transformed from his spiritual Taichung, and others extended it on this basis with their magic power. Everything created was also imprinted into the spiritual platform of the master of the fairy world, which was equivalent to extending his spiritual consciousness and knowledge, and was beneficial to each other.
The largest immortal world in the world is the Heavenly Court. The Heavenly Court is based on the Lingxiao Holy Realm, and the creation of many great masters, Jinxian Lingtai. In addition to the caves opened by each golden immortal, there is also a vast space, which is suitable for immortals to practice in the immortal world. Although the immortals in the land without the Golden Immortal Realm have no excuses for opening up, they can establish caves and various immortal scenes in the existing immortal world. If the Taoist traditions of these immortal masters decline in the world, it means that there are fewer and fewer disciples who ascend here to build the scene of immortals. If there are fewer and fewer people who practice and achieve Golden Immortals or the golden Immortals no longer come here, it means that the scope of the shared fairy world that continues to open up is becoming more and more limited.
Whether the Taoist tradition is inherited depends on whether the Taoist laws are suitable for the world and whether there are materials that can be made in the world. This should have been natural and cannot be forced. In the cycle of sentient beings in the world, you save your disciples, and I enlighten my descendants. Usually there is nothing to argue about. But if a sect is prosperous, bullying the world's trust, and excluding other people's inheritance, it will affect the fairy world.
Both religions want to "majorize" and compete for status similar to "national trust", which will inevitably have potential conflicts, and even involve the heaven and the Buddha's kingdom.
There are various objective reasons for the introduction of Buddhism into the Middle Earth. However, there is still a place where Buddhism has never been popular. It is the Kunlun Fairyland where monks from various schools are scattered.
Kunlun Fairyland is a place where people have been born in the world since ancient times, and there is no trouble with the world and earthly affairs. The Buddhist practice of "sentient beings are suffering" cannot become popular here. Even if there are such a monk like Guanzhou who has established a temple in Longkong Mountain for more than 1,600 years, attracting thousands of people through the Naihe River, the Buddhist heritage in Kunlun Fairyland has been declining, and there are few Buddhist monks.
However, in the Kunlun Fairyland, an anomaly appeared, which was Zhen Yuanzi, the ancestor of the earth immortals. He also noticed the widest influence of Xuanzang's journey to the west to seek Dharma in the future, and felt that this was an opportunity to take advantage of.
Zhen Yuanzi was the first person in Kunlun fairyland to become an immortal since the prehistoric world. Ascending to become an immortal was still before the Queen Mother of the West. After becoming a golden immortal, he stayed in Wenzui Mountain and did not go to the Heavenly Court to open a fairy cave. More than 1,200 years ago, Zhen Yuanzi opened the Wanshou Mountain fairyland, independent of the Heavenly Court and the Buddha Kingdom.
As the ancestor of the earth immortals, Zhen Yuanzi certainly hopes that Wanshou Mountain can be on par with the Heavenly Court and become another place for ascending immortals. However, Wanshou Mountain has been operating for thousands of years, and it is only a place where his disciples' ascension will be ascended. No other golden immortals will work together to open it up, and no immortals will ascend to this place to settle the cave, which is far from comparable to the Heavenly Court. This time, Taiyi Tianzun did not go to the realm in person, but sent another golden immortal, Jiuling Yuansheng, to Qianyuanshan. Just like that, he also recruited Qianyuanshan Dharma Assembly after the Wenzui Mountain Dharma Assembly. This is the purpose of the Jiuling Yuansheng.
After hearing this, Mei Zhenyi felt a sudden realization and understood why many inexplicable things happened at the beginning. He smiled and said, "We came so coincidentally, just as the predecessor of Jiuling Yuansheng held a lecture. We must use this blessing to hear the wonderful Dharma of the immortals."
Nine Spirit Yuansheng laughed and said, "Actually, with the cultivation status of the two, it doesn't matter whether this kind of Golden Immortal Dharma Assembly is listened to or not."
Mei Zhenyi said in confusion: "What do you mean by this senior? It's rare that the Golden Immortal is speaking, doesn't matter whether it's not important to listen or not?" Jiuling Yuansheng explained next, but he suddenly realized-
The Golden Immortal holds a Dharma Assembly in the Immortal Realm. It mainly refers to those scattered immortals who have realized their own cultivation and practice ascendant. These people do not have the inheritance of the ancestors, or the ancestors have limited cultivation and cannot guide their practice after becoming immortals. The content of the lecture is nothing more than the cultivation of the immortal world and the strange interest in the human world, how to build a scene of immortals and a place of practice. More advanced content may also involve the transformation of heavenly tribulation and the achievements of the Golden Immortal.
This kind of large-scale public teaching cannot be one-on-one instruction, nor will it openly teach this secret method. It is just a guide to the perception of practice. It may be very useful to some people, but may be meaningless to others.
If you run to the world to hold a meeting of Golden Immortals, the above content is inappropriate, because the audience is not a scattered immortal. For example, you have almost no meaning to explain the rhythm of poetry and lyrics. So what should you say? You can only talk about "the benefits of literacy". Specifically for the situation in front of you, that is, "the wonder of becoming an immortal", and it is just to strengthen everyone's wish to cultivate immortals.
For those scattered cultivators and mountain demon kings without guidance from immortal masters and without complete Taoist inheritance, it is also very beneficial to listen to it, because they may not have understood it before. They just couldn't see the direction clearly in the fog. When they heard this kind of Dharma Assembly, the prospects pursued by practicing became clear. But for Mei Zhenyi and Zhiyan, there was indeed no need.
An open Dharma Assembly will not teach this sect's secret methods, but involve profound content. It is just some experiences in practice. If it can be verified with one's own practice, you will also gain something when listening, especially for disciples of this sect or those who practice similar methods.
For the many casual cultivators in Kunlun Fairyland, it is not necessary for Zhenyuan to go to Wenzui Mountain to hold a Dharma meeting in person, and it is enough for the head Qiao Sanren to give a lecture. Since it is not necessary, why does Zhenyuanzi still come and persevere for 60 years? There are other purposes.
Taking advantage of the name and influence of the Ancestor of the Earth Immortals, attracting disciples from the Kunlun Fairyland and even disciples from other sects to Wenzui Mountain can not only spread the reputation of the Wanshou Sect, but also attract as many cultivators to join the Wanshou Sect. For example, Qiao Sanren, the head of the Earth Immortal Sect, came here more than 400 years ago. This is good for strengthening the Wanshou Mountain Immortal World, but on the other hand, the disciples of the Wanshou Sect in later generations are inevitably of varying quality.
