Chapter 163 Unprecedented career

Chapter 163: An unprecedented career

Chinese people have been working hard to join intercom for a long time. Although the slogan of the Internet is equality and freedom, the United States has always opposed China's accession to the Internet.

Every route connected to Beijing's exports must be carefully inspected, and the United States also restricts the export router to China. Because the US government is worried that China will grab a large amount of information and technological achievements from the Internet, it put forward harsh conditions to prevent China from connecting with the United States. After the dedicated line was opened, the US government only allowed this dedicated line to enter the US energy network on the grounds that there are many technological information and other resources on the Intercom and cannot be accessed by socialist countries. It is not allowed to connect to other places, to distribute viruses, and to use Intercom in the military and commercial fields.

Despite this, this 64k dedicated line is still the first dedicated line connected to some intercom in China, and hundreds of scientists were able to use emails in China.

Taking the opportunity of connecting the NCFC project to the Intercom international dedicated line, China and Intercom have a full contact. In May, China's Internet connection was completed, the government expressed its recognition of Intercom's entry into China, and the Chinese network domain name was finally confirmed to be CN.

In fact, before this, China's contact with Intercom was in progress. In October 1990, Professor Qian Tianbai registered my country's top-level domain name CN on behalf of DDNnic, the predecessor of the International Internet Information Center, and since then, he launched an international email communication service using China's top-level domain name CN.

However, China's CN top-level domain name server has been placed abroad, and it was not completely changed until this year, May 21, 1994. On this day, Professor Qian Tianbai completed the setup of the national top-level domain name (CN) server at the Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

However, Fan Wubing also received a message, that is, the Ministry of Posts and Communications reached a consensus with the US Department of Commerce and had signed an agreement with the US company to commercialize the intercom network. The specific operation should be that the State Administration of Telecommunications establishes two 64k dedicated lines, which are set up in Beijing and Shanghai respectively.

"It's better not to be late! It seems I have to hurry up!" Fan Wubing calculated that although the Postal and Communication Department was slow, the network would be pulled up next year, so he should do it earlier.

Fortunately, the Internet is just a meaningless new thing for ordinary people now, and there are very few people who know how to use this thing. If it is just used to send emails, it is really useless. The reason why the domestic government introduces this project is because other countries have it, so it can't be without it. How shameless is that?

Judging from the situation in the United States, although everyone is very enthusiastic about intercom, its utilization is limited to sending and receiving emails and bbs chatting. After all, it is in the www.piaotian.comdows system, which is crucial for network applications.

Although the US government is very optimistic about the application prospects of the Internet, their expectations will not occur in a large-scale application ten to twenty years later. No one expected that the Internet boom would appear in less than a few years, and it would drive the rapid development of the new economy, thus bringing mankind into the information age.

At present, Fan Wubing is concerned about two aspects. One is to keep a close eye on the actions of the Post and Communication Department, and be sure to make his actions one step ahead of them. The other is to keep a close eye on the actions of Microsoft and watch their www.piaotian.comdows95 system appear strongly, and then the Internet era will truly come.

When Fan Wubing thought of this, he immediately called Boss Zhu, saying that he wanted to go to Beijing and talk about establishing an Internet service company.

"I have learned about this. Currently, the education and scientific research networks and commercial networks are under construction, but there are very few users, all government agencies, and there are very few people who understand this. They are basically in a poor and poor stage." Boss Zhu obviously has already understood this situation, so hesitantly asked Fan Wubing, "But the investment in establishing a new network is huge. Are you sure you want to do this by yourself?"

"Well, this thing must be done. At least I need this thing in branches in various provinces. At the same time, I can also provide access to the network to other individuals or enterprises in need." Fan Wubing replied very affirmatively, "And there is also an advantage, that is, I intervene in intercom in the name of enterprises. Americans will appropriately relax restrictions. Some things are easier to solve. For example, some resources that the government cannot access now may be opened to us."

If the government cannot handle things, private enterprises can handle them? Boss Zhu was a little puzzled by Fan Wubing's proposal, so he asked him the reason for this.

Fan Wubing explained, "In the United States, the intercom network was originally used for military purposes. Later, Americans felt that this thing had development prospects, so they opened up network standards and allowed networks from all over the world to join them. His purpose was very obvious, to unify the world network standards to achieve the goal of controlling the global information industry."

"As you say that, it's better not to join the intercom network system?" After hearing Fan Wubing's words, Boss Zhu suddenly hesitated, "Will the network controlled by Americans have hidden dangers to the information security of our country? If they use this channel to obtain domestic economic and military intelligence, wouldn't we be in trouble?"

"This risk exists!" Fan Wubing did not deny this issue, but affirmed it, but he then added, "But there is one thing that goes, barefoot people are not afraid of wearing shoes! With our current economic and technological strength, do you need to worry about the Americans stealing our information?! To put it unpleasantly, the comprehensive national strength of the United States must be more than 30 years ahead of us. In this case, even if we have stolen any information, we will take advantage of it! What's more, you won't leak important military and economic intelligence so easily, right? As long as resources are not online, what can Americans have the means to steal from the Internet?"

"This is right!" Boss Zhu nodded, thinking that what Fan Wubing said was also very reasonable, and finally said, "Then you have to work harder and come to Beijing. I'll find some people to talk to you and implement this matter."

"Okay!" Fan Wubing agreed.

Fan Wubing brought a lot of people here. Among the senior executives at the headquarters, Davis and Shen Manhua were brought, and more than a dozen technicians were brought. Together with several staff members from Fan Ting's company who had been exposed to network technology in the United States, they formed a 25-person working group and went to Beijing in person.

Boss Zhu also attached great importance to this and found more than a dozen experts who planned to build domestic information networks, including Deputy Minister Ye Mingxuan, the head of the Ministry of Posts and Communications, Director Zhang of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission, and others.

At present, the qualitative issue of the Internet in China is not clear. Generally speaking, this thing always relies on telephone lines for signal transmission at this stage. Therefore, the Ministry of Posts and Communications believes that it has jurisdiction and pricing power, and all things transmitted based on telephone lines should be controlled in its own hands.

The State Council does not have a clear understanding of this. Since the Ministry of Posts and Communications believes that this new thing should be under their jurisdiction, it is normal for this business to be allocated to them. After all, others do not have the same understanding of network technology and communications technology as the Ministry of Posts and Communications.

But doing this will not be in line with Fan Wubing’s interests. What he needs to do is to have control of the grassroots service network. If he needs to act as an online enlightener similar to Yinghaiwei’s back then, and finally act as a cannon fodder first, what benefits will it be for him?

The Ministry of Posts and Communications only needs to make a price change, so that the Internet building that it has worked hard to collapse in an instant and becomes a yellow flower of yesterday.

Fan Wubing is absolutely impossible to let this happen, so what he had to do first was to correct everyone's ideas and transform the control of this new thing into pure commercial, rather than a ban on the Postal and Communication Department.

Boss Zhu took the time to attend the talks and introduced the participants from both sides, and said to everyone, "The Internet is a new thing. Whether the mine array or diamond mine is in front is unknown now, but from the perspective of investment, it is very difficult to popularize it among the people now. As the government, I also hope that someone can stand up and try this new thing, so Mr. Fan came out. He hoped that he would invest in building the backbone network of key domestic cities and contact the United States in a private identity to relieve the current Americans' online discrimination against us. Today, on this issue, we will hold a symposium, and let everyone talk about any ideas."

After Boss Zhu finished speaking, everyone's expressions were the same, and no one wanted to be the first to be the first. After all, as Boss Zhu said, no one could see clearly what was in front of him. If he took over rashly, the impact on his future will be difficult to estimate.

If things are done, you are a hero, and if things are defeated, then you are a stinking shit.

Everyone has a certain status and status. Is it worth taking that risk?
