57. Hurricane Eye

In a swamp cabin surrounded by dangers, it is difficult to fall asleep peacefully.

Lu Li forced himself to sleep to regain his strength, but it was difficult to actually fall asleep, and he was always half asleep and half awake.

The sound of heavy rain hitting the wooden house, the sound of wood being added to the fire, the sharp whistling sound caused by the wind blowing through the cracks, the sound of paper turning, the sounds coming from outside the reality are intertwined with the bizarre dreams, and they blend into a strange and confusing sound.

An indescribable thing that makes people dizzy.

The wind outside was gradually increasing, and the entire swamp was covered by the roar of the wind, and the wooden house seemed to be trembling in the wind and rain.

While resting, Lu Li turned around unknowingly and faced the warm fire. The noisy and sharp whistling wind gradually made Lu Li frown, until an illusory hand brushed between his eyebrows, his brows became soothed, and Lu Li calmed down again.

Having the courage to smooth Lu Li's eyebrows, Anna floated back to the fire, picked up the diary that she had read once, and searched for any clues that might have been missed, doing her best.

The diary was quickly read, and Anna could not find any new useful information in the diary.

A large group of branches or shrubs and other debris blew past the wooden house, causing an uncomfortable friction sound. Anna worriedly looked at Lu Li opposite, but he just frowned and was not woken up.

The fire showed signs of dwindling down, and Anna picked up a piece of firewood - although she could pick it up directly with her telekinesis rather than reaching out unnecessarily, she preferred the illusion of pretending to be able to touch the object.

She grabbed the firewood with her transparent palm and stretched it towards the campfire. She put her hand down into the flames and quietly put down the firewood before taking it back again. During this process, Anna secretly glanced at Lu Li again to make sure that he was not disturbing his rest.

The wind and rain outside the wooden house were becoming violent, and the thin walls made an overwhelming sound. The door swayed slightly, but Anna moved the table to stop it.

Anna was worried, and the wooden house struggled to stand in the strong wind.

I don’t know how much time has passed, maybe a long time, but the wood that was reported earlier was almost burned out, and the apocalyptic howling wind outside finally began to weaken.

The suppressed sound of rain began again. Gradually, the sound of wind and rain became smaller. The storm outside seemed to be receding. In a trance, Anna seemed to see the clear sky lighting up outside.

Anna floated up and planned to go outside to take a look, when a familiar voice sounded next to her.

"How long have I been asleep?"

Anna turned her head and saw that Lu Li had opened his eyes, his black eyes were looking at her, and he sat up.

"Uh... it must have been a few hours..." Anna felt a little guilty, and she didn't pay attention to the time issue at all.

"I didn't hear the wind." Lu Li said. He touched the woolen windbreaker underneath him. It was completely dry and was emitting the same warmth as a fire.

Anna gave a heavy hum: "Yeah! The storm seems to have subsided!"

Lu Li put on the same dried trousers and coat and walked to the door. Anna moved the dining table behind the door and opened the door.

The strong earthy smell blew towards his face, bringing with it a hint of coolness. Some insignificant raindrops fell into his messy black hair. Lu Li looked around the clean and empty wooden house that looked like it had been looted. His eyes focused on the woman who was still kneeling on the ground and had not been blown away.

The master paused for a moment, raised his head and looked at the sky.

Dark clouds enveloped the entire sky. But above the Shadow Swamp, the clouds broke, and fluffy clouds surrounded the eye of a hurricane that looked like the eye of the sky. The sunlight behind the clouds tore through the darkness, and broken golden light poured down.

Under the sunlight, the quiet and dark swamp jungle has a touch of sanctity.

This was the second time Lu Li saw the light hidden behind the clouds in this world, and he was just as shocked as the last time.

"What a nice view……"

Next to her, Anna murmured in a daze.

After watching for a while, Lu Li beside him suddenly returned to the wooden house and put on the short boots that had not been completely dried.

"Are we leaving?"

"And fast."

Lu Li buttoned up his shirt, put back the holster, and put the items back into the kettle.

They are in the center of the eye of the hurricane, and there will be a brief period of peace here, but once the eye of the hurricane leaves, violent storms will reappear in this swamp.

Anna stared blankly at Lu Li packing his belongings. When he came to his senses, Lu Li had returned to his original appearance and walked out of the wooden house with his cane and oil lamp.

Lu Li filled the last few pieces of firewood into the fire, which might be needed on the return trip.

If the eye of the hurricane has not moved away by then, they can escape to the swamp road. If it is too late, they can return to the cabin to take shelter.

The prerequisite is that Lu Li won't get lost in the swamp.

Lu Li would not miss this opportunity if it was not necessary. Having been targeted by the swamp, he may not have the chance to enter the depths of the swamp next time.

The only thing that puzzled Lu Li was that this hurricane, which he thought was a storm, came without any warning. Lu Li had not heard any news about it in the newspapers before...

Suspiciously closing the wooden door, Lu Li turned his head and said something to Anna, and walked quickly towards the bloody tentacles above the jungle under the sky.

Lu Li and Anna's backs were hidden in the jungle, and the area around the forest house became quiet again. The broken beams from the eye of the hurricane shone on the dark black moist soil, bringing a sense of peace to the place.

The solidified corpse of the hostess of the wooden house knelt down in front of the wooden house, like a sculpture, standing here unchanged from eternity.

At a certain moment, the sculpture's fingers trembled silently.

The hurricane caused great damage to the swamp.

The scattered branches and bare dead trees on the ground speak for themselves.

If the Swamp Mother is the consciousness of Shadow Swamp, it may be angry because of the devastation of the hurricane and has no time to estimate Lu Li.

This hurricane brought trouble to Lu Li, but it also brought convenience.

Lu Li was running in the swamp jungle.

After a rainfall, the swamp became more swampy and swampy, but Lu Li's speed became faster. The fallen dead branches allowed Lu Li to distinguish where was the ground that could be passed through and where was the swamp and water bubbles of unknown depth.

While racing against time, Lu Li was quickly approaching the landing point of the bloody tentacles.

The surrounding scene changed as Lu Li went deeper. The dead trees became thicker, and the ground was covered with snake-like dark green vines. Before the hurricane, they should have been hanging on the branches, forming part of the dark swamp.

The bloody tentacles in the distance seemed motionless, staying in that position without changing.

The host of the bloody tentacles seems to be hiding there.

A few minutes later, Lu Li, who was running all the way, was very close to the bloody tentacles. He touched his waist, ready to fight and wanted to fight quickly.

But the reality is often more bizarre and incredible than expected.
