Chapter six hundred and ninety fourth belongs to the willfulness of the actor

The third-party guarantee system is an important part of ensuring the normal operation of Hollywood. Actors and other jobs will also use this system to protect their own rights and interests.

In order to protect their rights, celebrity actors will not be foolish in trusting the producers completely. They will advocate third-party payment or third-party guarantees to prevent the producers from being unable to pay and delaying their performance pay for various reasons.

When a celebrity agent negotiates with a producer, investor or an unstable financial institution, he or she may be required to obtain a third-party guarantee for the full salary of the actor before the actor's work begins.

In this way, by providing guarantees to increase the reliability of the producer's compensation, the producer can deposit all the actor's salary into the bank and then use the deposit basis as a guarantee to provide better protection for the actor. With such guarantees, the actor can naturally perform his work wholeheartedly.

However, setting up a third-party guaranteed payment account like this will increase the cost of the producer. If the actors were not taking the initiative, the producers who were eager to seek talent would not use this method to express their sincerity.

Also, even with various guarantee systems, there are endless examples of Hollywood filmmakers tampering with each other.

This is actually a game process. Whoever can get the initiative depends entirely on the market's supply and demand relationship. Stars like Leonardo or Tom Cruise will occupy a very active position when facing most crew members and put forward many unexpected conditions.

For example, ban crew from using people they hate.

Yes, you read that right, many Hollywood big-name stars have such terms in their contracts!

Hollywood stars will write such a demand as a "right to recognize". For example, they will negotiate "reasonable recognition" means that they can do it in conjunction with the promotion of the performance film, but the specific implementation should be approved by their prior consent. If they encounter someone they hate to host or participate in the subsequent promotion activities, they can refuse to participate in the event.

For example, if they encounter a talk show host hosted by their annoying hosts, they can claim not to participate in the recording of the program based on such terms.

Similarly, such recognition and decision-making power can be used in scripts, stills, and stand-in actors... As long as they have enough status, they all have discussions.

Hollywood has never been a place of goodness and simplicity. This is a battlefield without gunpowder.

Here, countless actors fight openly and secretly to win a place, and the signature contest is also one of them.

Moreover, unlike the American Screenwriter Association agreement, the Actors Union agreement does not provide detailed regulations on the signatures of actors in the films involved. Therefore, smart actors and their agents will fight for the best position that actors can get on the ‘top lling’, from position, size, and format to the production company.

They tirelessly agreed on various complicated terms for this, such as requiring the actor's name to appear first in the "not displayed subtitles" and that the number of signs that appear in the same scene shall not exceed two.

This rule seems strange, but simply put it, I want the most conspicuous position. I want the order of the front row, and I want the audience to see my name at a glance, especially those A and A stars, whose names sometimes appear before the title page of the video.

There is also a more pretentious statement that whenever a director appears, the actor must have the same size, same position and same font signature as the director's name.

Of course, it also depends on the director's status. No one is too stupid to make such pretentious demands for directors like Duke, Spielberg or James Cameron.

This is an extremely complex industry. You can stand out by simply acting your own role and filming your own videos. That is just a wishful thinking. If you want to get what you deserve, including actors, you must strive for it with all your efforts.

Although no one in this industry is irreplaceable, the appeal of celebrity actors is not a bubble.

The term equality is not commonly known as ordinary people, even in Hollywood, it is only possible for some celebrity actors with certain status to use.

After the filming of the film is completed, the producer may produce some paid advertisements or audios to promote the film, and will use portrait photos or names of influential movie stars as a means of publicity. Such publicity is mutually beneficial to the film and stars. The big-name movie stars participating in the filming of the film will of course not miss this opportunity. They will propose equal rights during negotiations to include the photos of their portraits in the same size in any advertisements in which other actors' portraits or photos appear.

Anyway, the producers cannot leave them behind when there are benefits, after all, they also have a certain value. It is precisely because of the value of celebrity actors that the producers have to consider making such rights agreements with the other party in the contract.

No matter it is any video, an advertisement or audio is just that big, it is impossible to put too many people on it.

For the sake of maximizing interests, the producer must want to put the most topical movie stars as a selling point, so he will rack his brains to politely reject the actors' requests.

For example, when a producer promises to sign an actor in paid advertisements, he will exclude some scopes according to convention, which may include public board advertisements, other outdoor advertisements and printed advertisements smaller than the specified size. In many cases, the scope of the excluded scope is too broad, making the producer lose its meaning to provide the actor with the signature.

However, this is not a problem for those celebrity actors and their agents. They in turn agreed with the producer that if other actors are signed in the "exclusion advertisement", they should also be signed, but only mentioning the congratulations or nomination advertisements of the honoree are reasonably excluded.

Decades ago, producers occupied an absolute dominant position in Hollywood. It was not uncommon for sand auditions and various forced transactions. However, after years of exhibitions in Hollywood, forced transactions have become less and less. Situations like sand auditions have become rare, and it is even more impossible to be forced to be born in the big-name stars.

Nowadays, transactions are all in your own mind. In the past, when passionate scenes could make big-name celebrities take off their clothes and auditions, they basically don’t even think about it. Apart from the extremely chaotic movie circle, if you want to let celebrity actors take off their clothes in mainstream production, the producers will have to pay a considerable price.

There are always nude scenes or bed scenes in Hollywood movies. For such special scenes, before, during and after the shooting is completed, there are corresponding contract terms in the industry to protect the interests of producers and celebrity actors.

The Actors' Union has a relevant agreement on this, requiring these actors or stand-in to sign a "Nude Waiver Statement" before performing these scenes. This statement is not only a pre-declaration of an actor's voluntary performance of nudity and bed scenes, but also must contain a description of the degree of nudity or physical contact, ensuring that the filming will be carried out within the scope of the actor's acceptance in accordance with the agreement reached by both parties in the subsequent filming process.

If the actors repent after signing the statement and are allowed to withdraw their statement, the producer will directly send a substitute to the stage. Without the actor's consent, even the substitute cannot be played casually.

** Or because of its special nature, in order to avoid being used by others and spread to the actors, the actors will also strictly stipulate the procedures for these scenes during filming. Except for the main actors and staff, the scene shall not be disclosed to any parties.

No one is prohibited from taking stills of these scenes without the prior written permission of the actor. Sometimes, in order to prevent the producer from using nude or bed scene performance clips in other places, experienced celebrity actors will use prohibited clauses during negotiations to dispel the producer's wishful thinking, so that they are not allowed to use these clips outside the main film. Even if they are used in the main film, the actors themselves need to enjoy the right to review the ** when the sample is played.

Becoming a big-name star actor is no longer as simple as being a Hollywood actor. They are completely part of it that can be classified separately.

During outdoor shooting, front-line actors usually have a dedicated premium RV. They will require the RV level of the same level as other actors of the same level, and enjoy the best treatment in both size and equipment. The facilities that must be equipped in the RV include a private bathroom, stereo, TV, Internet, fax machine, vr, refrigerator, oven, bed or sand, heating and air conditioning.

Some celebrities require specific food and beverages in the refrigerator, or other special requirements, and within the jurisdiction of the production company, celebrity actors will also require an upscale powder room equipped with the above-mentioned first-class customized facilities.

The power that Hollywood big-name stars have on the crew is beyond the imagination.

Before filming, they will watch the script, especially confirming the role they play. Some actors will insist on having the right to confirm the substantial changes in their roles during negotiations. After all, changes in roles may affect the actors in many aspects, and some actors may even require the right to confirm the current script.

In addition to the need for script confirmation, some female stars and high-level male actors will also require the right to confirm makeup and costumes to ensure that they can appear in front of the audience in the most perfect posture.

These are the most normal powers for celebrity actors in Hollywood.

After all, in Hollywood, more top actors have the right to directly decide on the actors and directors to cooperate!

This right is the willfulness of actors who do not want to cooperate directly. The producers generally do not otherwise request this because they themselves represent huge market appeal.

It is also based on this that the upcoming project "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" has been dysfunctional. (To be continued.)
