Chapter 3 The Traveler from the Church

"Dang, dang, dang." It was another peaceful morning. The distant bell sound spread from the distant central square of the commercial district to the surrounding area, and faintly spread to Fox Street, indicating that a new day has begun.

"Tao tread." The sound of running echoed on Fox Street. Just like every morning, Lily's youthful and lively figure appeared from the end of the street. Every time she passed by, she would take out newspapers and letters from the cloth bag behind her and stuff them into the mailbox at the door.

"I'll fight!" After passing by the door of the foreign restaurant, the little girl didn't even look up, and threw a small stone into the air. The stone roared over a few meters away, hitting Pannis' head accurately.

Panis was doing his usual activities every morning, squatting on the top of the gate while stepping on two sharp metal fences, and yawning in his pajamas lazily and boredly towards the sky. The flying stones hit him accurately on the top of his head, but Panis seemed to have no feeling at all, and continued to stare sleepyly at the empty sister.

"Hey, Uncle Monster, are you okay?" Lily asked tentatively with kindness, "Is something wrong?"

"I'm thinking about a problem." Panis's eyes were still staring straight ahead and said deeply: "The problem is very important. I must think it clearly soon, otherwise it will be too late."

"What's the problem? Do you need my help?" Lily approached a few steps and asked with her head tilted, "Although I'm not as knowledgeable as you professionals, what if I can help."

"I'm thinking..." Panis's eyes finally turned to the young girl, and hesitated for a long time before he said seriously: "What should I eat for breakfast? Should I bake a little bread and ham, or cook a little milk oatmeal? It's really hard to decide."

"I'll beat." Lily was shocked by Panis's question for a long time, and raised her hand and threw another stone at Panis. She shouted angrily: "Uncle stupid, you dare to tease me and beat you to death."

"The same trick is useless to me." Panis tilted his head, avoided the oncoming stone, and quickly reached out and threw it away. A black shadow flew straight towards Lily: "Not only is it useless, but I will also fight back, die a child."

"Pa", Lily stretched out her hand and just caught the black shadow thrown by Panis. She put it to her mouth without looking at it and took a bite. It was like biting Panis's flesh. Only after the black shadow was caught could she see clearly that it was a red pascia. The juice was overflowing with it, which was extremely sweet.

"Thank you, uncle fool." Lily stayed in front of the foreign restaurant for a while. She moved her limbs and gnawed the fruit in her hand. Then she smiled and carried her big backpack filled with newspapers and letters again, and waved to Panis: "I'll leave first, see you tomorrow, uncle."

"Who will see you tomorrow?" Panis said sadly and angrily: "Give me my fruit back, you robber."

"Haha, I won't return it." Lily smiled crisply, and the ponytail behind her was jumping mischievously. Gradually, she went away.

"Lily's family is not well-off. Her father has been dead for several years and she lives only by her mother's meager income. She also has a sister at home, and she can only take on the task of earning money to support her family at such a young age." Behind Pannis, Catherine began to stand there at some time and said quietly: "So you give her some children like food every morning by making noise?"

"How is that possible?" Panis said gritting his teeth: "I just want to smash her with something, this dead child is not cute at all."

"Puchi." Catherine couldn't help but cover her mouth and laughed: "You guy is always like this, Lily is not a fool. She had seen it a long time ago and was very grateful. She thanked me in private."

"What are you saying thank you?" Panis stared at his eyes and said angrily: "If you are grateful, don't hit me with a stone every time, bastard. Is your tradition in the capital of knowledge just to thank you with stones?"

"Why do I think you are having a lot of fun?" Catherine smiled and looked up at Panis and said, "Although you never do serious things, you lie on the roof of others every day, harass girls everywhere, secretly take other people's children to drink, often hanging upside down from outside the store to scare away other people's guests, picking the flowers raised in the middle of the night to send them to others, but you have never sent them out..."

"Hey." Pennis looked at Catherine squintly.

"Hehe, although you're making trouble for others every day, it seems that the neighbors on the street like you more and more." Catherine said happily: "I feel that everyone is happier than when you didn't come before. They say you often secretly help them, thank you."

"Nonsense." Panis turned his head and did not look at Catherine's eyes: "Who will help a bunch of fools."

"You know it yourself." Catherine was not angry, and continued to do physical recovery exercises, turned to the foreign house: "I feel that the recovery speed is much faster than expected. As expected, more injuries can speed up the recovery speed."

"Can you also speed up the death." Panis turned over and jumped from the top of the gate to Catherine: "I broke so many bones and walked in a crooked manner. I dared to run out and move on my own, and I didn't say I was preparing a crutch. You are not afraid of falling to death."

"What are you afraid of?" Catherine raised her lips: "Even if she really fell down, isn't there anyone else going to help me at any time? What's so scary?"

"Please wait a moment, two of you." The two of you were clamoring and just walked a few steps away, when someone shouted loudly outside the gate behind you: "Is this the base of Neli's adventure team?"

"Huh?" Catherine turned around in surprise. Outside the gate of the Western Palace, two people dressed in travelers stood. One of them was wearing coarse tights, a gray cloak covered with dust, and a pair of worn cowhide boots. The other was the costume of a monk. The monk's robe was covered with patches on his body, and barefoot was wearing a pair of straw sandals. Both of them were black and white on their faces, and they couldn't tell how far they had walked and how much hardship they had suffered.

"Yes, this is No. 6 Fox Street." Catherine nodded in confusion: "Is there anything you guys?"

"It's great, I finally found it." The two travelers were obviously relieved. The person who was dressed in a traveler wiped the sweat on his forehead: "If it's here, is Miss Ryan there?"

"Who is that?" Panis stared at Catherine and asked blankly: "Does there anyone here?"

"Yes, who is that?" Catherine was also stunned for a long time, and suddenly said with a sudden realization: "Oh oh oh, that's Lina. It's too long, I'm almost forgotten Lina's surname. Are you two looking for Helena? Lane, Helena, the travel pastor of the Goddess of the Earth Church, right?"

"Yes, Sage Helena." A smile appeared on the ascetic's thin and wrinkled face: "Is she here?"

"Yes, she lives here." Catherine nodded and said, "But it's too early now, she may still be sleeping. Is there anything you guys?"

"It's so, we are from the city of Deer Saren in the Federation of Neville." The monk's face was habitual and without any expression, but his body still bowed slightly politely: "The temple of the Church of the Goddess of the Earth, there are some internal affairs to ask for help from the Sage."

"Oh, then please come in." Catherine and Panis looked at each other, and there was a hint of doubt and worry hidden in their hearts. At Catherine's gesture, Panis quickly opened the yard door and let the two travelers into the yard, guiding them into the Western Paradise quickly. As soon as they entered the entrance, Catherine asked, "Please take a break in the living room first, let's call Lina down. By the way, in such a cold weather, the two of them arrived early in the morning. Do you need to drink some hot water and eat something first?"

"A cup of clear water is enough, thank you." The monk drew a square shape on his chest and said plainly.

Catherine looked at the other traveler, and after seeing him hear this answer, she smiled helplessly and said with a clear smile: "I understand, then please ask the two of you to do something, Panis, please call Lina."

"No need, I've already come down." A slight creaking footsteps sounded at the stairs, and Lina, who was messy with silver hair and a pastor's robe, walked down the stairs slowly: "I didn't expect that she was a second-level ascetic monk. Well, and this one should be the priest of which diocese. I wonder what you two have to come to me? First, I'm just a little pastor who is named in the church and has no interest in the affairs of the church."

"Don't worry, your sage is recognized by the goddess and will not interfere with your general church affairs." said the traveler, known as the priest of the diocese, "In fact, we have received the order from the Archbishop to ask you for help."

"Architect? What happened?" Lina's fist suddenly clenched, obviously not as calm as her expression: "It is actually a serious statement to ask for help."

"The Archbishop is very good." The monk said stiffly: "It's not that the Archbishop has something wrong, but that there are some problems in several dioceses under his jurisdiction. The Archbishop cannot solve it himself, so I hope you can help."

Lina's clenched hands slowly loosened her unknown hands and said calmly: "Is it the diocese of this priest?"

"Yes, it's my diocese." The priest sighed, took off his head and pressed it in his arms: "I am the priest of Mento, the Eastern Diocese of Neville, the lower-level temple of the Church. Recently, a few strange things happened in my diocese, which made the district bishop very distressed. After asking for help from the Archbishop of the General Temple, the archbishop Nishi said that you might have some ideas, so we took the liberty to ask you for help."

"Strange thing?" Lina asked in confusion: "What strange thing?"

"Sir, please see this." Mentuo handed Lina a memory crystal: "You will understand after reading it."
