***************
Before, Jin Muchen hadn't paid much attention to the top of the jade pillar, because before, I could see that there was a layer of soil yellow jade skin at the top of the jade pillar. Jin Muchen thought it was the jade skin specially left by the carving master.
In addition, the light was dim at that time and the reflection of the box containing jade was not clear whether there were carvings on the jade skin. At that time, he focused more on the main part of the jade pillar.
But now after seeing the seal engravings under the jade pillar, he stopped thinking so.
Turning the jade pillar over, illuminating the yellow jade skin on the top of the jade pillar, I saw the pattern carved on the jade skin.
I saw the word "gan" in the middle of the yellow jade leather, and the two sides were double dragon patterns that were homophones with the word "long".
Jin Muchen looked at the pattern carefully and felt that it was basically correct. Then he took the jade pillar in front of him and began to look at the main part of the jade pillar. Under the irradiation of the strong light flashlight, he saw a line of engraved poems on the main trunk.
"From ancient times, the emperor said that the eloquent title was not right. That is, the six ceremonies were still happy, and they were both ashamed of the two words. I asked myself why I established virtue in my life, and I always said that the ropes of the ropes will continue to be the best. I read the inscription on the windows and the inscriptions of the West, which is perfect for love at any time."
At the end of the poem, the words "Appointment of the Treasure of the Emperor of the Supreme One" are also signed.
Seeing this, Jin Muchen had basically concluded that this is clearly recorded in Qing history. After Emperor Qianlong abdicated and became the Supreme Emperor, he made the last jade seal for himself: the Supreme Emperor Seal!
In the 60th year of Qianlong's reign, the 85-year-old Emperor Qianlong summoned the princes and grandsons, princes and ministers, and announced the establishment of the fifteenth son of Prince Jia as the crown prince. In the second year, he also issued an edict: "After I return to power, I will use the first name of Xi to engrave the treasure of the Supreme Emperor. I will soon carve the seal of the imperial "Ten Complete Old Man's Treasures" as the book of the Supreme Emperor, and use Sheng Rui of the Zhangxi Dynasty."
So he used a piece of Hetian jade raw stone that flowed from the Western Regions that year, and the "Treasure of the Supreme Emperor" carved from the No. 1 jade treasure of Xi'an, 22.5 cm square. It was the largest imperial treasure of the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty and also became the last jade seal made for himself by Emperor Qianlong.
The poem engraved on the theme of this jade pillar was written by Qianlong for the newly-made "Taishang Emperor" seal one month after Qianlong became the Taishang Emperor.
Especially the last two lines of the poem express what Emperor Qianlong thoughts at this time. In the self-note of this poem, Qianlong also specifically mentioned that he became the Supreme Empress and abandoned the routine red tape of adding honorary titles. It is just a "Treasure of Emperor Qianlong's Treasure" as a commemoration of this important turning point in his life.
According to the book "Qianlong Baoshu" collected in the Forbidden City in the capital, before Emperor Qianlong abdicated, he asked the craftsmen of the inner palace to make more than 20 square meters of imperial treasures of different sizes of the Supreme Emperor with different materials.
This "Taishang Emperor Seal" is the most distinctive one. This seal is carved with warm and pure white jade, and the whole is cylindrical, with a yellowish color on the upper part, making it look simple and solemn.
Moreover, this is the only jade seal with a round seal in Qianlong's "Taishang Emperor Seal". The seal surface of this "Taishang Emperor" is carved in seal script with four characters "Taishang Emperor". The four characters "Taishang Emperor" are consciously carved into a cross-shaped layout.
This layout started with another seal of Emperor Qianlong's "Love God" and whenever there was a major event, it often imitated it as one or two directions. Such as "Son of Seventy", "Five Blessings and Five Dynasties", "Eighty-year-old grace", etc., thus forming a series.
And this "Taishang Emperor" round seal is the last one in this series.
As one of the important seals during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, this square seal is often sealed on calligraphy and paintings collected by the inner palace, such as the "Five Ox Pictures" by Han Huan of the Tang Dynasty collected in the Palace Museum in the capital, the "Mid-Autumn Tie" by Wang Xianzhi of the Jin Dynasty, and the "Tea Tasting Pictures" scroll by Tang Yin of the Ming Dynasty collected in the Palace Museum in the Baodao.
In addition, you can also see some ancient artifacts in the palace. For example, there are inscriptions left by this jade artifact on the Neolithic Age to the Xia Dynasty in the Forbidden City of Baodao.
So this round jade seal is definitely the most important treasure of the country back then. It’s a pity that his final lost experience is also quite a pity.
In 1900, Empress Dowager Cixi went crazy and declared war on the whole world, and then the Eight-Nation Alliance entered the capital.
The old bitch Cixi, who was carrying Guangxu's children in a hurry to flee. The Eight-Nation Alliance entered the capital, burned, killed and looted everywhere, but in the end, she didn't even let the palace go. Not only did she scrape the ground three feet away, but she also poked the ancestral tomb of the Aisin Jueluo family. At that time, the jade seal was obtained through tomb robbery.
The French naval captain Pierre Lotti recorded the situation of these Qianlong imperial seals in his diary: "October 1900, on Tuesday, the capital,... in the lattice in the box, in the hidden double-layer base, were wrapped with a whole piece of agate, jade or gold. Any situation in his life and any decree during his reign required these heavy seals. These priceless jade seals, no one touched them again after the emperor was buried, and had been sleeping here for two hundred years..."
The round seal of the "Supreme Emperor" was later taken away by the French general De Jesse, who was only 28 years old at the time.
At that time, a group of sailors obtained the box that specially held the Qianlong jade seal, and the young general took several imperial seals from it without hesitation.
Later, the records of the seal were interrupted. Some people said that De Jesse brought these seals back to France and kept hiding them in his home.
Some people also say that these seals disappeared in World War II because the German army occupied France and looted them freely.
Anyway, no one has seen these seals since then.
Jin Muchen didn't expect that today he actually found such a seal again in the ghost market in the United States.
If this were the ghost market in China, Jin Muchen might have doubted whether the jade seal in his hand was fake, but this is the United States, but the Americans have no time to forge the jade seal of the Chinese emperor. Besides, this jade seal has a strong yellow light shining across the body, which cannot be hidden from Jin Muchen's eyes.
These yellow lights seemed to be constantly reminding Jin Muchen that this seal was real.
"Man, how do you sell this thing?"
Jin Muchenqiang suppressed the ecstasy in his heart and asked the man in black. This guy was wearing black jeans in his lower body, a black pullover in his upper body, and a black scarf on his mouth, which was definitely a typical standard match for a man in black.
"Five hundred thousand US dollars!"
The man opened his mouth and said a price, but his accent was a bit strange, and it sounded like English was not his native language.
Jin Muchen looked up at the man, then stretched out his hand: "Document!"
The man looked at his hand and had no intention of shaking hands with him. Jin Muchen smiled a little awkwardly, and then withdrew his hand.
Then he pulled over the suitcase with a password lock behind him: "How to pay the bill? Here, or find another place?"
The man walked out of the shadow of the big tent next to him, then turned around and looked at Jin Muchen in a low voice, saying, "Come with me."
After saying that, I collected the stall on the ground and retreated into the darkness behind me. I had a 500,000 US dollars in all cash transactions. This is not a small amount. In such a crowded place, as long as I don’t have a broken head, I will definitely not trade here.
Jin Muchen was not afraid. He relied on his supernatural powers and had a gun in his arms, so he carried the suitcase and followed the man closely. The man was very familiar with the situation here. He turned around for a few turns in front, avoided the crowd, came to a black small truck, and opened the door.
Jin Muchen followed him into the car. The man put down the things in his hand, then took out the jade seal that Jin Muchen had just seen, handed it to him, signaling him to check it out, indicating that he had not dropped the bag.
This guy was quite authentic at that time. Jin Muchen laughed in his heart, but he still held the jade seal in his hand according to the rules. After checking it, he carefully put it away and then opened his suitcase.
Looking at the piles of green bills inside, the man in black suddenly expanded his pupils and his breathing gradually became rapid. It took him a long time to recover. It seemed that this was the first time he had done such a big business.
Jin Muchen signaled the man in black to find a bag, and the guy pulled a large travel bag from the passenger seat in front. Jin Muchen directly counted 500,000 from his suitcase and threw it into the man's travel bag.
The man took out the banknote detection machine and started counting and checking the banknotes. After he finished checking and confirmed that there were no counterfeit banknotes, the transaction was completed.
Jin Muchen was relaxed and reached out to his arms. Unexpectedly, the guy sitting opposite him seemed to have been stabbed in his butt by a needle. He suddenly jumped up from the seat, took out a gun from his arms, pointed at Jin Muchen and shouted loudly: "What do you want to do? I advise you not to play tricks?"
Jin Muchen looked strange: "Man, don't be nervous, I just want to smoke a cigarette and celebrate."
As he said that, he slowly took out a pack of cigarettes from his arms. The man saw the cigarettes that Jin Muchen took out, and then he breathed a sigh of relief and put down his gun.
Jin Muchen took out one for himself and lit it, and then threw one for the man. This time the man was not polite, so he took off his face towel, and then used the fire handed over by Jin Muchen and lit cigarettes.
It was at this time that Jin Muchen had seen this guy clearly for the first time, with dark hair, square chin, and huge hooked nose. He looked like a typical French look. Based on his accent, Jin Muchen probably had guessed his origin in his heart.
“From Quebec?”
Jin Muchen asked tentatively. When the man heard his question, he was stunned at first. The blue eyes swept back and forth several times before he nodded slowly.
