Chapter 1 The first job

Jin Muchen walked off the bus and took a deep breath. The morning sun shone on his face warmly. He clenched his fists hard and then walked towards the warehouse in front.

The warehouse is where Jin Muchen is going to interview for work today. The Costco supermarket chain is located in a distribution center on the edge of Brooklyn, New York City.

There are many large supermarkets in the United States, such as Walmart, Costco, etc. The geographical locations of these supermarkets are very different from those in China. In China, large supermarkets are generally located in bustling areas of the city, while in the United States, large supermarkets are generally located in the edge of the city, which of course is related to the living habits of Americans.

Working in the city center and living in the suburbs is the living conditions of many Americans, so large supermarkets generally choose residential areas far away from the city center.

The supermarket's distribution center will of course choose to be in a more marginal location. Just like the distribution center that Jin Muchen is going to interview today, it is located at the junction of Brooklyn and Queens, radiating to three Costco supermarkets in Brooklyn and Queens.

Costco supermarkets are a large wholesale type of supermarket. They are more suitable for a supermarket with multiple people to go to. The price is cheaper than Walmart, so this supermarket has many customers, especially in poor areas like Queens.

Because the supermarket business is relatively good, the work in the distribution center is also very heavy.

When Jin Muchen saw the job recruitment resume online, it was clearly written on it. This was a heavy physical work. The description of the job required that the limited goods be transported from the shelves to the truck within a limited time according to the employer's needs. To put it bluntly, it is a loader and unloader.

The work is very heavy, and the salary given is of course very high, $28 per hour, which is higher than many white-collar workers sitting in offices, and more than twice the minimum wage standard in the United States. This is very suitable for Jin Muchen, who is in urgent need of making money.

If it were a few days ago, Jin Muchen would definitely not have come to do this job. Although the salary is good, he knew that his body could not bear it. But now, especially after experiencing the strange thing that day, he has absolute confidence in his own strength.

Standing at the door of the warehouse, he was greeted by a strong white man of about 1.8 meters, as solid as a mountain of meat, about fifty years old. When he saw clearly that Jin Muchen was an Asian, his expression was a little surprised.

"Hey, are you Mu Chen?"

"Yes, it's me, I'm very happy to know you."

"I'm also happy to know you. I'm John, the supervisor here, your interviewer."

John reached out and shook Jin Muchen. His hands were very strong, and the skin on the palm of his hand was rough like the rocks on the moon's surface.

"Okay, let's start."

John was a straightforward guy. After a few simple greetings, he turned around and entered the warehouse with Jin Muchen.

Today, this Asian man is the first Chinese to come to find a job that John Old John met. In the past, those guys were all Lao Hei and Lao Mo. Those guys were all stout and had a good foundation, but they were lazy, especially those Lao Hei.

Generally, I can’t work for too long. I basically work for a month, save a few thousand yuan, and then stop and go out to have fun and come back when I have no money.

If it weren't for the shortage of personnel today, Old John wouldn't have agreed to the Chinese boy in front of him to give it a try. After all, although he is quite tall, he doesn't look particularly strong.

"I just arrived at the order, a branch in Queens. Where can I ask for the goods is 1,000 pounds of flour, which can be loaded in half an hour and delivered to the supermarket within one hour. If you can complete it within half an hour, then this job will be yours."

John took Jin Muchen directly to the front of a hill made of flour buns, pointed at the hill, and said to Jin Muchen.

This is not a light job. One thousand pounds of flour and more than nine hundred kilograms. Even a strong old man like a buffalo, he would not guarantee that he would complete the entire transport task alone within half an hour.

Jin Muchen looked at the flour mountain in front of him, then turned his head to look at John. He could see that the old man had more hesitation in his eyes.

At some point, a group of Lao Hei and Lao Mo who were watching the fun came around, talking nonsense next to him, as if waiting for him to make a fool of himself.

Jin Muchen was not angry, but just smiled slightly and said to John: "Okay, I'll give it a try."

After saying that, he took off his long-sleeved T-shirt and walked towards a flour mountain.

When Old John was stunned when he saw this guy take off his T-shirt, he saw that the muscles of steel cast iron were exposed. He couldn't tell that this guy was actually the type of person who looked like he was thin but had muscles all over me.

But his body may be quite big for ordinary people, but compared with the thick muscles here, it is not enough to see.

A bunch of Lao Hei and Lao Mo who were not alive at this time surrounded John and were chattering.

"Hey! John, do you think he can do it?"

"I think it's so bad... John, it's definitely a waste of time for him to test the work."

"Hey! Paul, shut your stinky mouth, I think he's still done!"

"Jim, I said, why do you like to argue? Why do we take a gamble?"

"Okay, bet if you bet, who loses the Red Pony Tavern treats you to the evening."

"Hey! Shut up, you guys see..."

"Oh! Oh my god, is this kid still human?"

"WTF, this guy is definitely a machine, he is not a human... Hahaha, Paul seems you are destined to treat him tonight..."

Jin Muchen reached out to try the 50 pounds of flour, and it was very large. He reached out and picked up a bag, put it on his shoulder, and then picked up another bag, stacked it on his shoulder. It was okay and didn't feel it was particularly heavy. This amount was not particularly difficult for him. With his current strength, he seemed to have enough spare...

So he fought four bags for the first time, walked down the hill where the flour buns were piled up, and then placed the flour on the shelf board on the ground.

After walking again, my physical strength seemed to be a little bottom. However, whenever my waist and arms were a little sore, a heat flow would gush out of my dantian and turn around in my body. Then the feeling of fatigue immediately disappeared, as if it was full of electricity, and my body was full of energy, which made Jin Muchen become more and more confident the more he fucked.

500 pounds were loaded in ten minutes. The flour wrapped in kraft paper must be taken and placed lightly. If you throw it hard on the ground, it will easily break. Therefore, you must be very careful when putting it down. This process is much more laborious than carrying a few bags of flour on your shoulders.

Usually, these rough-handed porters will accidentally break a bag or two when doing this job, and the more they go to the future, the more they lose their strength, the more likely they make mistakes.

After putting the flour bag on the shelf board, I tightened the pile of flour with plastic film, called the forklift, and directly sent the shelf board along with the stretched flour on it to the truck.

This job looks very simple, but it is really not that easy to do. However, Jin Muchen seemed to be a clockwork robot. Every move was accurate and accurate. After a few strokes, he did not breathe or sweat a few times. He looked like he was slight, but he was shocked by those Lao Hei and Lao Mo who knew the difficulty of this job well.

It took only twenty minutes for the kid to spend 1,000 pounds of flour.

Such quick hands and feet made Lao Mo and Lao Hei stunned the group of Lao Mo on the shift. Even Old John, who had worked for decades, was a little unbelievable.

I think even when he was young, he couldn't do this kid's hand and footsteps!

"Good boy, this job is yours, thirty dollars per hour, I'll count for you for forty minutes that job just now."

This job is a salary for timekeeping and piecework, but it is difficult to find such a young man who is quick-witted and not lazy now. Giving him ten more minutes is a small reward. Anyway, the company pays money, so why don’t you do it yourself?

Old John hammered Jin Muchen's shoulder. It was really good that this young man was as strong as a calf. He was really misunderstood just now.

"By the way, after get off work in the evening, don't rush home, Paul treats guests at the Red Pony Tavern..."

"Oh, NO, guys, you can wait for Friday, but today isn't the day to pay your salary?"

The big old man Hei Paul, who lost the bet, raised his hand and stroked his forehead and wailed, but what he waited for was a whistle around him.

"Shut up, Paul, you still have a credit card..."

The coworkers around him laughed and said, and Jin Muchen just lowered his head and smiled.

John took Jin Muchen to the simple office where he converted a container next to the warehouse, added a bunch of forms, and then brought him a hard hat and work clothes. Jin Muchen officially started working that day.

At six o'clock in the evening, the shift where Jin Muchen was finally finished, and everyone started to clock in and get off work. However, before leaving, John called everyone to another simple warehouse next to the office that was converted into.

"If you like something, just take it."

After saying that, he turned around and went out. A group of Lao Hei and Lao Mo cheered and walked towards the damaged goods. Jin Muchen also followed him.

Those things are accidentally broken when workers are transporting goods during the day, such as broken bacon in the packaging bag, or deformed iron cans, as well as broken beer and beverages in the packaging.

This is the second reason why Jin Muchen found this job. The first reason is that the salary here is high and there is no requirement for education. The second reason is that these goods are processed.
