If you design the cabin capacity a little larger from the beginning, you don’t need to be much larger, just put down the replacement ugt-25000/da-80 gas turbine.

The size of the ugt-25000/da-80 gas turbine is larger than that of the lm2500 gas turbine and is several tons in weight.

But there is no ugt-25000/da-80 gas turbine yet. It will not be designed and finalized until the 1990s. It will not be able to buy this gas turbine from Ukraine in the early 1990s.

Considering that the ugt-2500/da-80 gas turbine will be used to replace the lm2500 gas turbine in the future, Yang Fan suggested, "Director Kuang, can we design the power chamber larger?"

Increase the size of the power cabin and expand the capacity of the cabin?

Kuang Wei said puzzledly: "No need, the power system of the 052 ship is very clear. It uses diesel-roasting combined power, using two lm2500 gas turbines and two mtu-20      v956       tb92 diesel engines as power. We have calculated it many times. At present, such a cabin capacity can completely accommodate two gas turbines and two diesel engines."

Upon hearing this, Yang Fan felt bitter in his heart.

It is precisely because of this that everyone thinks that the power plan has been decided, so they tailored the power cabin for the power system of the 052 ship. There is no redundancy, which makes it impossible to replace the lm2500 gas turbine with the ugt-2500/da-80 gas turbine in the future.

How to convince Kuang Wei?

"Director Kuang, what do you think if we increase the capacity of the power cabin, such as adding 1500 mm in length, increasing the width by 1200 mm, and increasing the height by 600 mm."

Yang Fan is very clear about the sizes of the ugt-25000/da-80 gas turbine and the lm2500 gas turbine. If the 052 ship can install two alternative ugt-25000/da-80 gas turbines in the future, the length and width of the above size must be increased.

Seeing that Yang Fan didn't seem to be telling lies, Kuang Wei also said seriously: "The length of the power cabin increases by 1500 mm, the width increases by 1200 mm, and the height increases by 600 mm. Then the overall size of our 052 ship will be increased, which will affect the whole body with one blow."

Since the general hull diagram of the 052 ship has been released, although it is just a sketch, for this sketch, the comrades in the overall design room must have gone through a lot of calculations. If the power cabin is expanded and the total size of the 052 ship is increased, all their calculations will be in vain.

Because of this, all cabins try to squeeze and squeeze as much as possible, and pursue as small as possible. The equipment of the 052 ship is large and small in size. If the speed, range, etc. are not considered, the displacement can be designed to be six or seven thousand tons, rather than more than four thousand tons.

Yang Fan is a person who can't even pull back even ten cows once he makes up his mind. Since he plans to do this, he must convince Kuang Wei.

In history, the 052 ship has undergone continuous updates and replacements, and the size and displacement have also increased.

For example, the captain also increased from 146 meters to 154 meters, then to 155.5 meters, and finally to 157 meters. The standard displacement also increased from the initial 4200 tons to 5200 tons, then to 5900 tons, and finally to 6000 tons.

The 052 ship has undergone many major improvements, and the manpower and material resources consumed are immeasurable, while the time consumed is even more impossible to use money content.

Of course, this has a lot to do with the weak technical foundation at the beginning and the lack of experience to learn from, and everything needs to be continuously searched and moved forward. Such multiple changes are helpless.

But Yang Fan is a time traveler. With his 30 to 40 years of prescient awareness than others, he has taken fewer detours in the 052 ship-based development process. This should be what Yang Fan should do.
