Chapter 8 Intention

The data has been rising slowly recently, and I clearly think that the third volume is still quite compact (not understandable).

The white stone tiles in Liushui Palace can almost reflect the figure. There is no one in the spacious hall, only the captain of the guards leading them in front. The footsteps echoed in the middle, and the three of them were like an army moving.

The prince's wife has passed away, leaving him with only two daughters. He guarded a lifeless cold castle all day long. Leo could feel the chill and loneliness seeping out of the stone wall. It was wide and empty. This hall without any voice seemed to be able to fill it. Walking in it, the alchemist remembered his home on the other side of the sea. Although it was small, it was warm enough. He turned his head and looked at the female mage flying red hair beside him, and then he realized that he had not let go of her hand. He was embarrassed and didn't know what to do, and a cold sweat broke out in his palm. He had to speak and divert his attention.

"About the Night Witch," his left hand was extremely stiff. He swallowed unnaturally. "Is there anything else that can tell me? For example, some secret?"

"There is no secret." The guard captain said as he walked, "It is well known to everyone."

"But I have a few more questions."

"Ask. The prince told me to answer your questions." said the captain of the guard, "I will try to say anything."

"The Prince said that the Night Witch suddenly appeared."

"Yes, without warning, just one night seven years ago," said the captain of the guard. "She suddenly emerged from the grave as if she had fallen from the sky."

Leo did not believe the prince's speculation, and speculations such as "wizard's revenge" were particularly unbelievable. No strange things would happen without warning. "Has something happened before that? Something special."

The captain of the guard fell into thinking. "There are many wise men who have the same suspicion as you." After a moment of silence, he said, "Their views are often very different, and they are like this in many things. But it is rare to be consistent in this matter."

Li Ou smiled. "Have you found anything?"

"No one knows what happened. At least we don't know." The captain of the guard shook his head. "His prince is the ruler, not a secret goddess who spys on privacy. He cannot know everything. But there is only one thing that can be confirmed..." The captain of the guard glanced at the parchment in his hand and said in a strange tone of sympathy, "...The wise men say that this banshee is cursed."

Curse? Leo's body shivered uneasily. Rosie felt his horror and immediately turned her head. He forced a smile and prayed in her heart that she would not find anything because of it. A girl turned into a monster because of the curse? Why did that curse arise?

"This girl...banshee...does anyone know her?"

"If someone knows you, you will definitely not say it." The captain of the guard sighed.

"Where is the prince's magic consultant? Where is my colleague? What does he know?" Rosie interjected, "There are many magics that can detect lies."

"This is Qianhu City State, Miss Witch." The captain of the guard reminded her, paused, and he continued, "As far as I know, he knows no more than me. He is timid and cowardly, and he will never hide anything. But I suggest that you better not go to him."

"Why?" asked the alchemist. He had released his goodwill to them.

The captain of the guard first glanced at the door, then lowered his voice, as if he was worried that he would be heard by the person in the conversation. "I don't like him, and in recent days, I have hated him even more. Several times I have seen him casting spells in the attic. I can't pretend that nothing happened. I am a Valian, an alchemist, and I have never left here. You should understand my fear and hatred of magic." He looked into the alchemist's eyes, without any concealing his weakness. This is a manifestation of courage.

Li Ou nodded, indicating that he could understand.

"But he assisted the prince. And I am just the prince's guard, protecting him from safety, but I have no right to speak."

He is very similar to Yuewu. Leo thought to himself. "We appreciate your kindness and will deal with it carefully."

The captain of the guard nodded. "One more thing. If you insist on going to the old palace where the banshee lives, it is best to choose sunny days and be sure to leave there before sunset." He advised.

"No daytime slashes have ever happened?"

“Never.”

"Her attack on humans only happened on full moon night?"

"Yes, she will go out to find food every week on full moon nights." The captain of the guard replied, "As long as she smiles, men will fall in love with it, women will lament and pity for her, and she will come and go freely. But she only wanders around the old palace. Nowadays, there are a large number of death row prisoners who are white and tender, and they are washed clean and allowed to choose. There are both Valians and white people, the old and young men who like her. So she simply does not go out of the door."

This is a good way. Now she must be chubby and fat, and she is free and comfortable every night, and she is full of wine and food. "Isn't anyone survived?" asked the alchemist.

The captain of the guard stopped, and he remained silent for a while before speaking. "It was originally happening, and it has been seven years. The two noble young masters couldn't wait to enter there when there was a beautiful banshe in the tower. They thought a kiss could lift the curse." They were not princes, and banshes were not princesses. "That's right, so one never appeared again, and the other was caught in the sea by the fisherman the next day, and his spirit was already in a state of disorganization."

"What happened later?"

The captain of the guard sighed, "Crazy. He was locked in the basement by his father and fed like a wolf dog."

"He's not dead yet?" Rosie said indifferently. "It's good that he's not dead. Magic can see what he's meeting."

"Miss Witch, I warn you." The captain of the guard touched the handle of the axe, "You can't do whatever you want here."

Li Ou shook her hand. "We won't adopt it unless we have to."

"It's better." The captain of the guard hummed.

When they left the palace and passed the garden, they saw the children again. In the pond of the garden, the children were still playing. The youngest of them was only five years old, and the older one looked only eight or nine years old. Half were girls and half boys. Leo saw them splashing water on each other and drinking in a sharp voice. "Whose children are they?" asked the alchemist.

Several older children were lying face down on the hot sand piles bathing in the sun. The rest were building sand castles, piled up spear-like spires like towering sword tips. There were more than a dozen children fighting water fights in waist-deep water. Splashes were always accompanied by loud laughter. A girl with brown-grain hair ran towards them and passed by them with a smile.

"She is Princess Namelia. The rest are the children of the prince's brothers and sisters. They are her playmates."

"His Royal Highness the Prince loves children very much."

"Yes. He likes every child." said the captain of the guard, "He also played in the garden of flowing water." His words ended here, but the translation of the Salazar slaves had let the alchemists know that Prince Oberon's brothers and sisters died in natural disasters. Two of them died in magical hands. Leo sighed, thinking that there were always dangerous roads ahead.

Nariya supported the broken winged dove with a look of uneasy expression. He was slapping at them another broken wing, and his feathers fell down and spread all over the floor. "Look, see what you have done?" he shouted loudly, "You have caused trouble and actually killed people! Mr. Jazz, this is a foreign country, and your judicial immunity is nothing."

"You are bleeding." Leo said calmly.

His clothes were stained with blood from the cracked wounds. "I can't die."

"Yes, I can't die. The old woman's medicine is very effective, and it actually wakes you up so quickly." Li Ou said sarcastically. He suddenly thought, could the pills given by the old woman have the ingredients to help sleep? If that's true, it would be a serious mistake.

"You want me to die?"

"It's someone who wants you to die." Rosie reminded him word by word, "It's not us."

"I can't see any difference in the ending." Hongdoor Eugene held on his own.

"Then open your dove eyes and look at it well, and think about it with your little head." Rosie snorted coldly, "Either you die alone, or we die all of us! Let all your so-called agreements go to hell!" She pulled out the announcement from Leo's hand and threw it on the dove's face, "Look at it well!"

"What is this?" asked the female swordsman.

"Night Witch." Rosie said angrily, "Amulet."

The bachelor's lady frowned, "That's what you plan?"

"What else?" Leo sat down opposite the bachelor's lady. He glanced at the red pigeon Eugene, his face pale, as if he would faint at any time. Hurry up and fainted, he prayed to the god maliciously. "Just wait for death?"

"But this is too dangerous." The bachelor's lady frowned, and her blonde hair drooped, like a tassel of gold asking for gold. "A creature like the Night Witch... almost no one can resist her charm." She said worriedly.

"I didn't plan to kill her," said Leo. "Everyone who tried to kill her was dead. I'm not that stupid."

"It is the most stupid thing to be good at making claims!" Red Dove Eugene said in a silence in pain in the corner.

Words are like wind. The alchemist turns a deaf ear. "Since everything is cursed." He noticed the sudden glance of the female mage. He felt nervous in his heart and hurriedly finished, "Then find the source of the curse."

“It’s still very difficult.”

"Magic will solve everything," Rosie said confidently.

The female swordsman was still worried, "The magic disappeared here..."

"So, everything will be fine if you don't get discovered."

"What are you going to do?" Eugene, the red dove, angrily shouted, "We should abide by the law here! Follow the customs!"

"Abide by the law? When the killer kills people in the street, do you also want them to abide by the law and put down their swords?" Leo sneered, "We are avenging you, Mr. Pigeon. The assassination of the killer was to warn us, and we fought back. The three rogues were killed just to reach the top of the sage."

"Shengda Sheng Ling?" The red dove Eugene jumped up from the sofa, "What did you say?"

"I wanted to show off directly, but I guess you would be furious. But the prince has fully understood my intentions."

"What's the intention?"

"Save us to death in his wrath," he calmly told the dove whose feathers were stained with blood, "no one is stupid enough to be the feathers that the dove fell to the ground."
