Chapter 20 Nova Chamber of Commerce

Third update!

The sound of horse hooves ticks echoing the sound of water drops that drooped the eaves, like a happy dance song. The dancers rotated, jumped in the rain, splashing one after another of the jumping water splashes.

The autumn storm is coming.

In just one night, the city bathed in the sun was covered by thick and low dark clouds. The heavy rain poured down, as if it wanted to wash away the filth in the dark corners of the city. Occasionally, the lightning that cuts through the sky is the goddess's angry thunder. However, they always wander between the sky and the earth and cannot land in the mortal world.

The vendors disappeared on the street, and the pedestrians were scarce and they walked in a hurry. They wore straw raincoats and walked under the intermittent eaves, turning a blind eye to the shops. The shops in the shops cursed in a low voice and sighed at the rainwater like curtains.

"I hate such weather." A girl in the carriage said boredly. Her voice was magnetic, but she was anxious at this time. Her eyes were lifeless, and her long straight fiery red hair seemed to lose its luster. She hung weakly on her shoulders. "The rain will wet everything and extinguish the flames."

Leo didn't know if her words had any meaning.

But he turned his head and looked at the other party, "Xueli Rosie." He shouted.

"Sheli is my name, and Rosie is part of my last name." The girl corrected, "My full name is Sheli Federmila Rosie Roye Hilmeyer." She said her full name in one breath - which usually represents the glorious family history. "Either you call me Sheli, or just call me Rosie."

"Roxi." Leo chose a casual title. "Don't you think your behavior is like a scoundrel?"

When she visited the alchemist's studio in the name of curiosity and saw Leo's wide variety of alchemy materials, she kept cheering with the spirits, gold and gems. Then she made a fuss to become his guard with arguing. Leo was directly deprived of the right to refuse.

"You need a mage to be your assistant." Her excuse was justified. "Look at the magic circle you drew, I can pick out fifty mistakes and omissions from it."

Her words made Li Ou unable to argue; even Lu Yuewu stared at his magic circle pattern for a while, trying to find out the fallacy that Rosie said was so dangerous that it could cause an explosion and extinguish the house.

Rosie's magic knowledge is unexpectedly extensive; she is easy to control magic and can be regarded as exquisite; her hands-on ability is particularly outstanding. All of them are much better than Leo.

The final result is obvious.

However, just when Leo thought she had forgotten the purpose of her coming, she repeated the rewards she should have received repeatedly, and then added a shameless sentence: "I am already your guard and magic consultant, so should I return my staff?"

The mage sitting in the carriage made Li Ou feel a headache. He felt that the decision he made that day might be the stupidest one in the years. He must have been hot at that time. Li Ou leaned his head against the hard wall of the carriage and thought about it with worries. Otherwise, she would have used a charming spell.

"Robbers are always better than thieves." She responded to Li Ou's previous words. The rain came in through the gaps in the curtains and wet her robe and the ends of her hair. "Damn weather." She whispered, "The fire elves will take a vacation at this time, but we still have to go out in the rain. My employer, what are we going to do?"

"You will know when you get to the place." Leo replied impatiently.

"Okay. But don't expect my spell to come in handy." said Rosie, a red-haired man. She glanced at the sky covered by rain outside the carriage, then turned her head with a frustration, and looked at Li Ou and Lu Yuewu boredly. Finally, she stopped her eyes on the long swords around their waists. "In this way, I think I will need a long sword to protect her. If you don't mind, can you lend me your sword?"

"It's a double-edged sword. Are you sure you won't hurt yourself?"

Lu Yuewu was even more straightforward. "There is a dagger hidden under your robe." His sharp eyes swept through everything and there was no way to hide. "It is sharper than the sword we use."

"It's such a tacit understanding." Miss Ms. Ms. snorted softly in dissatisfaction, "If you didn't understand your relationship, you would have thought you were using a couple sword."

"Please keep your mouth in mind." Lu Yuewu frowned and warned her.

"What else?"

A cold light flashed. Before the mage could react, the sword was aimed at her throat. "I haven't admitted that you are our companion." Lu Yuewu looked at her coldly, and issued a warning with clear intentions.

Only Lu Yuewu can restrain the proud mage.

But too much is too little.

"Yuewu, put down the sword." Li Ou grabbed her wrist, "That was just Rosie's joke."

"In my opinion, this is no longer a joke." She said this, but she still obediently returned the sword to the sheath. "The strange Oriental." Rosie couldn't help but complain. The sheath then stomped on the wooden board and let out a "clang" sound.

"Sir, Miss, please don't fight in the carriage." The groom who drove the carriage begged outside.

"Please keep your ears in mind!" Miss Rosie punched the partition and roared loudly.

After driving for an hour, the carriage stopped on a spacious street near Albatross Harbor. Next to it was the office of the Nova Chamber of Commerce. It was a stone building like a small castle, which had been stormy. The white jade stone had been dyed with a layer of vicissitudes of dark green. On the lintel leading to the hall, there were sirens's heraldry.

Leo walked into the hall.

The hall was messy and filled with people sheltering from the rain.

There are both dusty and exhausted caravan managers from all over the country, traveling merchants who are on the road alone; there are also captains with rough and red skin, tied with a headscarf, but lifeless eyes; of course, there are even more bards who are dressed in gorgeous clothes, apply perfume on their hair, and play the lute while playing the role of spies.

They are now gathering together and forming small circles.

But now when the heavy rain came, all business activities seemed to have stopped. At this moment, only the waitress was still busy filling them with wine glasses so that they could moisten their throats when bragging and cursing.

The receptionist who was lying on the counter listening to the gossip saw them coming in, looked up weakly, "Hello, can I help you?" she said formulaicly. Even the smile that was barely pulled from her face was crying like a complaint about the gods dropping such boring time.

"I want to pay a visit to Mr. Hale Hurt. Is he here?"

"Hair Hurt?" The receptionist took out a thick notebook, "Please wait." She asked while burying her head, "Do you make an appointment?" Noisy sounds in the hall, and the girl's voice was almost submerged in the roar of the waves.

Leo pointed to the crowd gathered together, "Everyone is on vacation in such weather. Mr. Hurt must be no exception."

"Of course there is no exception. He is with us." A thirsty man in a pointed felt hat beside him laughed. One of his companions, a guy with only short sleeves, immediately picked up and stood up and shouted to the other side of the hall: "Hey, Hurt, there is a boy looking for you. Oh, by the way, there are two very beautiful ladies. They are as pleasant as the sky clears."

His voice overwhelmed the voices of most people. For a moment, Li Ou felt countless eyes betting on him. Most of them were swept by, but there were also boring guys who were afraid that the world would not be in chaos.

"Look, it's an alchemist. Ayinblo's pride." A man shouted in a strange tone, hiding in the crowd of laughter. "Your badge is based on the pentagram. But our Mr. Hurt is very busy. He may not receive you, the noble 'Alchemy Apprentice'."

"Others are already formal alchemists." Another corrected.

"Yes, yes, it's only one level higher than an alchemy apprentice. It's like a raven is a little fatter than a crow, but they are still as black as they are." Everyone burst into laughter.

Leo frowned and glanced around, but could not find who was against him, and mocked him unscrupulously.

"Don't let me see him!" Rosie suppressed her anger, her fingertips were ready to move. "He'd better hide forever!"

"It's there." Lu Yuewu suddenly raised her hand.

A fat middle-aged man sat at a round table. He was surrounded by strong bodies and shields dressed as warriors. When he saw Lu Yuewu's movements, he reflexively shrank his neck and lowered his head.

But both Leo and Rosie have discovered him.

He was wearing a gray robe, a blue belt on his waist, and was embroidered with gems and magical words. On his chest was embroidered with the badge of the Mage Guild.

"I thought it was, it turned out to be the master of the wizard." Leo stopped Rosie from trying to rush up and pull it out, and raised the volume and said loudly, "Do you think you are hiding in the crowd and keep silently saying, 'You can't see me, you can't see me, you can't see me, you can't see me, I'll be blinded by your curse? It seems that you are exactly the same as the ostrich in the desert of Nahaeus. When they play rogues, they will bury their heads into the sand. Master, do you want me to bring you a bucket of sand? There are so many on the beach, I don't mind running."

His words attracted everyone to cheer. They longed to have some fun in this ghost weather. Leo just satisfied their wish.

"I don't mind either." Everyone raised their wine glasses and responded with a loud bang.

"Come and perform once. This is a good show that is not even in the circus."

But Li Ou still did not plan to let the host and guest go, and he had already changed his position, which seemed particularly pitiful.

"Don't stop talking. Didn't you be very good at talking just now?" Eyes for eyes and teeth for teeth are the way to survive. "It's really strange. Didn't you tie your tongue up by reciting a mantra that is like a long talk? I planned to untie it for you. But you must have eaten too much of the dog's mouth. Not only will the tongue splash smoothly, but the characteristics of evil dogs barking are inherited as good as the barking."

There was a burst of laughter. But this time the object was replaced by the initiator.

Rosie glared at Leo hard, just because he scolded her. But she was so happy that she was obviously relieved. She patted Leo on the shoulder happily, "It's a good job." She said, "I think it's so wise to follow you. You are much better than those rigid mages. If you are not as stingy as them."

It’s really a matter of money that only goes without saying anything. Li Ou secretly curled his lips.

The fat mage's face turned red and white. His eyes were full of anger, and the muscles and veins on his face were twisting and struggling. He suddenly stood up, pointed his fat fingers at Li Ou, and a blue frost flashed in his palm.

The hall looked like boiling water.

The waitresses screamed hysterically to the top of the sky. The timid guests rolled and crawled around to avoid the scene. The tables and chairs were overturned in the chaos, and the wine glasses fell to the ground. But there were also knowledgeable guys as stable as Mount Tai. They watched this rare show with interest.

"Don't cast spells here!" One person kindly advised, "Seagull District is forbidden to cast spells! If you want to use them, you have to pay taxes...it is enough to make you bankrupt." "The Magisters' Guild had already written to the City Hall last year to apply for abolishment!" Another person quickly followed.

"I have to thank the alchemist!" the fat mage shouted loudly, and his long-depressed anger burst out. "It's not because of you!" His spell was short and anxious. With a low roar, a cold breath spurted out from his palm.

But the dazzling orange flame that suddenly appeared defeated his last self-esteem that he had to resist.

The flames and frost devour each other and eventually turned into a flood of water vapor.

"I hate this damn weather." Miss Mage shook her long hair like fire, her amber pupils shining. "It almost extinguishes the flames." For the first time, Leo felt that her proud tone was so beautiful.

At this time, a black-haired man wearing a crimson silk top with golden tassels hanging on him came over. "Mr. Li Ou." He smiled and asked politely, turning a blind eye to the chaos around him. "Are you going to visit my brother?"

"Is it satisfying to watch?" Rosie looked at him with a slanted eye and said coldly, "Who is the better drama we starred in than the operas released in the O Rivera Theatre?"

This time, Li Ou did not stop Miss Ms. Ms. Ms. Ms. Smiling and waiting for her to finish speaking, he admired Mr. Hurt's stiff expression for a while, and then explained his purpose. "I brought the greetings of the old dwarf."

It's so hard that he still keeps smiling. Leo feels that his face should be about to cramp.

"My brother is inside, come with me," he said.

He made an invitation gesture, turned around and walked in first.
