Chapter 17 Rebellion
As Schwab expected, when night fell, two uninvited guests came to the camp of the Ruvedes, one of whom was tall. The people of Ruvedes looked curiously at this man with taller figure than them, while the other was much normal. They were wearing thick gray linens and covered their faces with wind hoods. The sneaky appearance made the heroic Ruvedes warriors very disgusted, but they showed General Sauron's seal, and Ruvedes warriors guarding the camp had to lead them outside the king's tent, because General Sauron was also there at this time.
"Your Majesty, it's really terrible. We have killed and injured more than 300 soldiers, and the elite soldiers and leaders in the triangular formation of the Wild Boar Formation were also injured and killed." General Sauron reported to King Regod with responsibility, and King Regod seemed to have grown much older. He lowered his head and listened to General Sauron's report without saying a word.
"General Sauron, two strangers are asking for a visit." The guard unveiled the tent and reported to General Sauron inside. Sauron was surprised.
"Stranger?" asked Sauron.
"Yes, they hold your seal, General Sauron."
"My seal, ah, it's that man, I know, let them in." Sauron said to King Regod, "Your Majesty, that man is here, we still have a chance to win."
"That person?" King Regod only raised his head at this time, looked at Sauron and nodded.
"We are spies on Duke Hanrowei's side."
"Oh, hope they're useful." King Regod regained a little strength, and he raised his hand and let the guards bring strangers in.
"The noble co-lord of the Novedic people, His Majesty King Regod, the most heroic general, Lord Sauron. It is a great honor to see you." After entering, the two men did not take off their wind hoods, and they still couldn't see their faces, but the tall man's head was almost touching the top of the tent. King Regod frowned when he saw these two people. The Novedic people who were good at fighting hated conspiracies and tricks, and waving weapons face to face was their custom.
"Take off your wind hood, you have nothing to keep secret here." Sauron was also very dissatisfied with their failure to take off his wind hood. If he hadn't used them, Sauron would have been very sure to chop off their heads with a battle axe.
"Sorry, His Majesty Regod, General Sauron, I have no intention of despising it. This is completely cautious." When the man took down his wind shield, the face of a young southern nobleman appeared. His face was full of confidence, but his eyes were filled with haze.
"What is your name? Although we have always been in touch, you have never exposed your identity. Now you can tell us about your sincerity in cooperation." Sauron said.
"Of course, I am the palace minister of Duke Han Ruowei, and my name is Yas."
"As? Duke Hanrowei's palace minister?" Sauron and King Regod looked at each other. They were very surprised. They did not expect that this spy was so close to Duke Hanrowei.
"Why?" asked King Ruigede.
"What? Your Majesty." Yas asked back.
"Why do you betray your monarch? If I remember correctly, Duke Han Ruowei's palace is his wife's younger brother." Sauron said.
"That's right." Yas nodded. He knew this. Many people knew that as the enemy of Duke Han Ruwei, the nobles of Ruwei could not know the members of Duke Han Ruwei's court. Yas continued, "It's just a man's ambition, lord, that's all."
"For your ambition, do you have to sacrifice your sister's husband?" King Regod felt incredible. These southerners were able to sacrifice their family for power. As a loyal family, the Ruvids were completely unaware. Although he felt that working with such a guy made him feel disgusted, King Regod chose to remain silent for the benefit of the Ruvids.
"What's wrong with your arrival today?" Sauron said as he approached the topic.
"Is the agreement between us still valid? Your Majesty." Yas did not take Soren's words, but instead spoke to himself.
"What does it mean? Are you doubting us?"
"No, General Sauron, it's just that I'm taking the risk here today. So we need to make sure the agreement between us." Yas could feel the hostility of the OVID, but for his own plan, he needed the help of the OVID.
"Of course." Sauron turned around and looked at King Regod, and then said.
"Tell me, my friend, Lord Yas, you should be able to trust us after we have worked together for so long." King Regod said in agreement.
"If I'm not wrong, your enemy, Duke Han Ruowei, is no longer in this world." Yas looked at the gap in the tent, and the sky had become very dark through the gap.
“什么?”索伦和国王瑞葛德不自觉的挺起腰,这个消息真的是太震惊了,在白天战场上作战的对手,突然在夜晚的时候有对手的手下来告诉自己那个人死了,让索伦和国王瑞葛德感到一时难以接受.
"Are you saying true?" Sauron frowned. If this matter was true, then the war ended with the victory of the OVID. The people in the south who had lost the Duke, the vassals were just loyal to the Duke. After the Duke died, they vowed to lose their service. It can be foreseen that the Counts who had lost their leader would not only not unite, but would instead compete for power and profit.
"Of course, it's very certain that the Duke probably had already drunk the wine given to the merchants from Milan and the city-states."
"Very good, so what advice do you have, Lord Yas."
"They were probably panicked at this time after defeating the troops here. After destroying the troops here, help me gain the rule of Han Ruowei. In return, I will transfer several fiefdoms to you Ruowei and form a permanent alliance. How about your Majesty? The land here is much warmer than the Ruowei Peninsula."
"Well, there is one more thing, my daughter was caught," said King Regod. "I want to make sure she is safe. If you can promise this, we will help you."
"Of course, no problem, I heard that the princess was caught by Sir Schwab of Mark."
"Shwab, it's that Schwab again. Who is he?" Sauron said angrily. Who is this Schwab who repeatedly destroyed his plans.
"Don't worry, General Sauron, that was just an unknown little man."
"The unknown pawn, this unknown pawn broke through our camp and used weapons that were not sure what kind of fire and loud noises to make our soldiers tremble. And those soldiers holding strange spears killed us so many Ruvid warriors. In your eyes, he was actually a Ruvid." Sauron said loudly, and Yas did not expect that Schwab was such a shocking character in the eyes of Ruvid people.
"Also, he caught my daughter. If he hadn't hurt my daughter, I would have agreed to any conditions."
"Don't worry, that Sir Schwab still has some connection with me, and I will convince him." Yas took the opportunity to say. Although he was not sure whether Schwab was on his side, the most important thing was to win the support of the Novedes at this time.
"So, what do you want to do, Lord Yas," asked Soren.
"I will return to the Duke's camp, and in the middle of the night I will send people to use torches as signals, and then ask you to lead the brave warriors of Ovid to rush into the Duke's camp to clear all the people in the lieutenant general."
"Okay, that's it? But I want to warn you Lord Yas, now we are people on a boat. If you do any tricks, I swear to God Odin that I will take down your head." General Sauron warned.
"No, let's go, Demon Mountain." Yas put on the wind shield again, walked out of the tent with the tall Demon Mountain, and left the camp of the Ruvid people.
"Mr. Yas, you are finally back." In order to avoid suspicion, Yas placed his tent far away from the Duke. As soon as he entered his tent, his servant reported to Yas.
"How is it? Has the Duke drunk?"
"I've drunk it, now the Duke's tent is so busy."
"Hmph, go ahead and get busy. I don't believe that the poisonous wine you drink will be fine. Go and see how it's going?"
"But, Lord Yas, the Duke's guards have surrounded the tents, and they said that in order to prevent the spies of the OVID, I cannot enter at all."
"What? Is the Duke not dead?" Yas lowered his head and took a few steps in the tent. "No, if the Duke not dead, he would not have been so strict with his guard. Ah, they wanted to cover up the news of the Duke's death, haha, it's really cunning."
"What should we do?" asked the attendant.
"It's okay, everything is the same. If you go to the forest a little later, find a torch near the forest, ignite it and send a signal in the direction of the Ruvid."
"I understand, Lord Yas."
"Hmph, I'm finally going to take Han Ruowei into my hands." Yas raised his head and laughed proudly, "But, where did that damn Schwab hide the princess of the Ruoveid?"
Late at night, the attendant quietly picked up the torch and walked into the forest. The surroundings were so quiet that there were a few strange bird calls, which scared the attendant very much. However, he swallowed and continued to do as Yas' orders, because he knew that offending Yas would make him die without knowing.
"Look, there is a signal." Sauron and King Regod saw the torches in the forest, waved their hands to order the warriors of Ruved to go to the camp of Duke Han Ruvey.
"Your Majesty, you can never come."
"Do you think I'm old?" King Regod said dissatisfiedly, holding a battle axe in his hand, wearing a light leather armor, with iron nails on it.
"Well, you're the hero of our OVID."
All the Ruvids approached the camp of Duke Han Ruwei carefully. At this time, some soldiers were seen surrounding the fire. They were talking to each other as if discussing something important.
"For so long, why haven't the savage Ruvid people launched an attack yet?" Yas was wearing a chain armor and holding a double-edged sword, standing outside his tent. Some of his loyal subordinates gathered here, standing beside him on the tall Demon Mountain.
"Sir, listen." Suddenly, many screams came from the direction of the Duke's tent, which seemed good news for Yas.
"Okay, I succeed, what should we do if Duke?" Yas's loyal knight, Demon Mountain, said excitedly. He picked up his giant sword. It had not been drinking blood well for a long time.
"Run and kill the Earl of Baden and the others." Yas waved his sword and ordered his knights.
"Oh." The knights did not ride horses, because riding horses in the camp was not conducive to attack, so these knights were walking.
When they rushed to the edge of the Duke's camp, because Yas was in the southwest of the camp, and the OVID people's attack was from the front, they did not meet together, but some fire and smoke blocked their sight.
"Roll, kill the Earl of Baden." A knight of Yas held a shield and a spear. He was wearing a double-edged sword around his waist. He was wearing a chain armor. He had a shirt outside the chain armor. His legs were wearing chain stockings commonly worn by knights of this era. The knight wrapped in chain armor confidently rushed to the wooden fence outside the camp. In his opinion, the wooden fence inserted with crooked branches was simply ridiculous. Suddenly he felt a piercing pain on his feet. He screamed and fell to the ground.
"Kill the rebel." On the inside of the wooden fence, many soldiers raised torches and illuminated the entire camp. The knight of Yas saw his feet being stabbed by a triangular iron nail. The nail was very thin and just passed through the gap of his chain stockings. The knight cursed in his heart that some despicable man had stabbed him with such a hateful thing, but he heard many of his companions in the dark screaming, and it seemed that they were the same.
"Mr. Yas, what are you planning to lead so many people?" Just as Yas stepped on an iron nail and cursed in his heart, a hateful voice sounded. Yas looked up and saw Schwab surrounded by soldiers holding torches.
"Damn it, Schwab, what are you going to do?" Yas said angrily.
"I want to ask, Lord Yas, what are you going to do?" Schwab found it funny. This sinister Yas was very confident.
"I, I, I heard the Ruvids attack the camp, so I came to rescue him." Yas stabilized his emotions and then said calmly.
"Oh. So, you led so many knights in the middle of the night, dressed neatly and waiting for the attack of the Ruvids?"
