chapter 5 two men

Section 5 Two men

The debate in the castle hall divided the vassals of Duke Hanrowe into two camps, the young radicals dominated by Earl Georg and the steadys dominated by Earl Bad. They quarreled fiercely in the hall. Schwab did not join the quarrel between these great nobles because of his low status, but sat in the corner and carefully observed the role played by Yas in this incident.

"Earl Georg, I think what Earl Bard said is not unreasonable. If the Ovaids ambushed in the forest, then we will definitely be defeated. Then your honor will be stained for Earl Georg." Yas stood among the nobles and seemed to comfort him, but in the ears of Earl Georg, he was a brave questioning himself.

"What? Lord Yas, are you saying that I am not the opponent of the savage Ruvid people?" Earl Georg said furiously. He was still wearing the chain armor clothes he used to fight, and the chain rings on his body were roaring due to excitement.

"No, my friend, I have no intention of this. I sincerely apologize for the inappropriateness of my words." Yas leaned down and bowed to Count Georg to apologize, but Schwab observed that Yas's mouth, which had been pulled slightly inadvertently, seemed to be smiling proudly.

"Enough, my knights and I took a risk to win a battle, but we were treated so unfairly, Lord Duke, if anyone insulted my reputation, I would ask for a duel with him." Earl Georg angrily pressed his hand on the hilt of his sword, bowed to Duke Hanorwei and left the hall without looking back.

"Okay, it's already late. All sirs, please go back and rest." Duke Han Ruowei saw that the meeting could no longer continue, so he had to stand up and let the remaining nobles disperse.

"Sir Schwab, what do you think about this?" When the nobles, including Yas, dispersed, the Countess stopped Schwab and asked.

"I think the suggestions of both adults are not wrong, but the suggestions of Earl Baden are more secure." Schwab said after thinking about it.

"Then do you prefer the Earl of Baden's plan?" The Countess gently raised her hand and pushed the blonde hair leaking from the pointed hat to her ear.

"Because I think something is wrong, madam." Schwab had no heart to appreciate the Countess' beauty. He was full of doubts about the night attack of the Ruvets. "I fought with the Ruvets once. That time I had a hundred soldiers. Although they were all comparable to the knights, their combat power was much stronger than that of ordinary troops under my training. However, the opponent's Ruvets had only a few dozen people. Even so, we still paid a certain price to defeat the Ruvets."

"That must be a very difficult battle."

"Yes, madam, I believe my soldiers. But today, it's so strange. The people of Oveid, who are more than Count Gerger, don't even have a chance to resist, and are beaten into pieces. This is so abnormal. There is a saying in my hometown that abnormality is a demon."

"Oh, what does this mean."

"It means that when it is not in accordance with the law and nature, there must be a cause. I just don't know what the cause is?" Schwab explained to the countess. Schwab even wondered if the Ruvids had been infected with the plague, so he sent these sick soldiers to die, but will the plague occur in this cold weather? Schwab, who has not studied medicine, cannot figure it out.

"So, Lord Schwab, will you investigate this matter?"

"Of course, tomorrow morning, I will go to the battlefield to see it."

"Then, good night, Sir Schwab." The Countess walked beside Big Schwab, raised her face and kissed Schwab's narrow face. The sudden attack caught Schwab off guard. Although it was a very ordinary good night kiss, in this empty hall, there was a hint of ambiguity under the swaying lights.

"Yes, good night, good night countess."

"He finally fell asleep."

"How is it, have you convinced him?"

"Of course, Count Georg agreed to lead the other Counts to attack the Oveids."

“Very good, well done.”

"But, are you sure we will win?"

"Of course, of course."

"That's good, I don't want Count Georg to be hurt."

"Ha, have you fallen in love over time?"

"Whatever you say, I am going to give you favors, Lord Yas."
